"Successfully unmuted… Welcome, Beta Tester… the administrator has finished setting up your party of… 33 participants… as you have no power stone, please select one from the given few below," The robot says, creating a panel similar to my status in front of me while the war around me completely disappeared.
There were 3 white eggs in front of me with different color splotches, representing the color of their power. I could only ȧssume fire was red, water was blue, and white was healing…
"I see, so I really can choose a power stone… I should try and find one once this is over," I mutter to myself while picking the white egg with blue splotches.
"Are you sure you want to pick the [Water Power Stone]? Unfortunately, you won't be able to change your selection unless you sign in with another account… Please click confirm if you want to follow through with this option…."
I immediately select the floating panel with the "confirm option."
"The amount of money given to… 33 participants is… 12000 dollars… please select what gear you would like to buy… please select gear that fits your fighting style as you can't buy another set of gear until the next round…"
Another panel with 5 options appears in front of me. From left to right, the options shown are melee, ranged, armor, utility, and miscellaneous. And in the top right corner was my money which totaled 12000 dollars.
"Fuck ranged bro, full-on melee is what I need," I say, immediately pressing the melee option, causing a new panel to appear on top of the already existing one.
A catalog of different weapons appears, which I start to search through. Swords, spears, daggers, shields, lances, scythes, and staffs…
I select my first option, which amounts to 5000 dollars, almost half my money.
[Dual Chained Katanas]
[These two swords are counted as one, but the original intention was for 2 styles of swordsmanship to be used on each sword. But since nobody has activated the full capabilities, it rots away in Asias National Treasury.]
What started to spin in front of me were 2 katanas, one white and one a light shade of gray. Then they were both connected by a thick metal chain that is customizable… but I just chose the default black.
Both of the katanas then appeared in my hands, but I was still nȧkėd, so I went to the armor section to try and find something similar to my Abyss Drake Set.
"It's expensive,"
The cheapest full-body suit that looked almost like my Abyss Drake Set was 50000 dollars…
"I guess I'll have to settle on some magic clothing as armor isn't for me," I mutter.
I bought a large white crewneck sweatshirt and white short shorts. You couldn't even see them as my sweatshirt was too big… but the breeze was nice. Plus, undėrwėȧr, bras, and shoes were free, so I just selected my size and the ones that restricted me the least.
Cracking my neck and joints, I raise my head and see my total amount of cash: 1500. This was enough to buy a few utility tools such as a miniature bomb and maybe a grappling hook… but I wanted to check out this miscellaneous section since it was a complete mystery.
I close out all my clothing tabs and select the mysterious option.
What was displayed were a few potions such as healing, mana, and stamina… plus some weird other things. For example, there are wings that are supposed to be attached to your back when the raid starts, some tattoos appear on your body, giving you a slight boost in power, and finally, there is… aura?
You could buy an aura that you constantly radiate, inducing fear into your enemies.
"So it's like bloodlust…." I mutter.
Well, first of all, I was going to buy the wings as it was an obvious selection. I mean, how were you supposed to find weak points on such a massive monster when you're constantly on the ground… that's right, you cant.
The wings were 1300 dollars, so I just used the remaining money on potions which surprised me at how cheap they were. 20 dollars for one healing potion, mana potion, or stamina potion… if those were the real world's prices, then the economy would've broken.
After closing all the tabs, the amount of money I had left was 0, so I clicked on the finish option at the top left of the selection screen.
"Finished buying process… please wait for remaining 15 players- 12 players- 10 players to finish their buying process," The robot says as I take my new swords for a spin.
It was pretty obvious even with just Frostbite; I had absolutely no skill with swordsmanship.
I have a good idea about it, but against somebody with real swordsmanship like the guy I faced in the swamp dungeon, I look like a toddler trying to hold utensils for the first time.
But as I only have some experience with swords, choosing a sword for this raid was the best as I doubt any magic would do anything against a titan.
"Buying process has finished for all participants… please brace yourself for nausea… please brace yourself for nausea… please brace yourself for nausea… please brace yourself for nausea… please brace yourself for nausea… please brace yourself for nausea…." The robot says as my vision distorts.
I blinked, and there was darkness. I blinked once again, and I was still in darkness. Suddenly I felt my stomach churn as I bȧrėly suppressed a gag. I blinked again, and darkness was all I could see as my stomach churns once again.
"Scenery loaded… loading monster… monster is too large for instant summoning… summoning will take up to 5 minutes so please wait… please wait… please wait… please wait-"
"Mute," I mutter before scanning my scenery.
It looked like a barren wasteland. Gray, dead, lifeless dirt with a few shrubs just bȧrėly clinging onto the sliver of moisture that hung in the air. Gray clouds covered the sky as if it was a rainy day, only allowing a few strands of sunlight to poke through the clouds.
Tall mountains were in the distance… but they were way too tall… way too tall… at least 2000 or 3000 meters tall… but somehow I could see the top.
"Probably cause of the preset settings," I mutter after seeing all of my classmates standing around me, gazing at the massive mountains in the distance.
But the distance between us and the mountains was at least a thousand miles between us… it was really a scenery fit for the titan.
Scanning my scenery once more, I see Mia checking her gear.
She was wearing a long-sleeved shirt that looked to be made from red snake scales and black pants with red ribbons that looked to be made from the same red snake scales.
Her weapon of choice was a sword that looked to be also made from the same red snake scales.
Mia noticed me staring at her, so she gave me a warm smile while her friends were scattered around, gazing at the foreign and gigantic land.
Mia's smile made me blush, so I immediately turned away and tried to calm down, but as I started to slow my breathing, a massive wave of pain overflowed from my back.
I didn't even know there was an option to turn on pain.
"AGHHHHH!" Everybody screamed as it seemed everybody was experiencing the same pain as me.
Suddenly, my spine erupted from my back, and then it started to grow. It split apart into 2 sides, creating the frame for 2 wings that slowly started to grow flesh.
The flesh then finished filling in the frame as light green feathers started to wrap around it, creating 2 massive bird wings in the shape of a demonic claw.
"Shit, why is this capsule so damn realistic," I mutter to myself through clenched teeth.
"This is how it is for all capsules, you slum bitch," A boy says from behind me, but I didn't even glance back as I looked forward.
"OOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" I could hear a long cry in the distance, and it felt like it would shatter my eardrums.
"Holy shit," I mutter after seeing the silhouette of a massive dinosaur-like creature above the clouds.
