"Foooooo,"

I guess it would be harder if I did this while it's alive.

I released larger strands of my bloodlust, which began to intertwine into ropes that started to take physical form. But as I kept my bloodlust towards the ground, nobody saw them.

"Urk- *cough* *cough* *cough*,"

I did one significant push into the dinosaur but was quickly countered, causing me to cough up several mouthfuls of blood.

"What are you doing?" I hear a sly voice ask from behind me.

I slowly turned my head around and saw an unpleasant face that I didn't want to see again.

"What do you want?" I ask Isabell.

"How about you answer my question first," Isabell refutes as she sticks out her ċhėst and crosses her arms.

tsk

I stood up and walked right past her, deciding to ignore her as I didn't want to waste any of my energy on her.

"You know Mia's lying, right?" Isabell says, but I didn't waver this time.

For the first time in years, I decided to trust somebody other than my mother and Auntie… And that was Mia.

"Can you shut the hell up," I respond before walking away and sitting down on a jungle tree that had been recently knocked over.

Nobody would care if I stood around as their impression of me was a weak little girl, and I didn't mind as that meant I got to observe all their powers.

It was a feast that I couldn't help but indulge in.

If I knew how to counter everybody in my class, then even if they deal with me outside of school, I'd be able to protect myself without much trouble.

"You're her girlfriend, right?" I hear the same annoying voice come from beside me.

"Yeah, so what?" I respond after glancing towards Isabell, who sat next to me.

"Hooooh… I thought she was straight. Well, whatever," Isabell shrugs.

"Why do you ask?" I question because she seems to know a lot about Mia, and Mia knows a lot about her, but they don't seem to like each other.

"Cause you're taking all her attention towards me and directing it towards you,"

"What are you to her? Bestfriend? Childhood friend? Admirer?"

"Childhood friend,"

"And why are you so hung up on losing her attention? Do you like her?" I asked as I was pretty sure it was that.

"Nope… I just don't like how she's relying on somebody else,"

"Relying? I think I'm the one who's relying on her more,"

Wait, why are we having such a casual conversation? Wasn't she just trying to ruin my life a couple of minutes ago?

"So… You don't know about it?" She asks.

ROOOOOAAAAR

The monster our class was fighting suddenly let out an enormous roar in anger and ripped through a few of my classmates with its protruding teeth.

The bodies of my classmates went limp and suddenly turned into blue particles that dispersed into the air, signaling their "death."

"Know about what?" I ask after returning my gaze to Isabell, who just stood up.

"We should help," She says before summoning a few balls of green light that floated around her like wisps of flames.

The balls then went directly up and exploded into green dust that healed our classmates, who set aside their pride to work with each other to take down the monster.

"Wait-"

"If she hasn't told yet, I shouldn't tell you. Either that means she doesn't trust you yet, or she's still nervous talking about it," Isabell says, but that only made me more intrigued.

"I won't listen to your taunts," I say while balling my fists.

"Well, listen to what you want," She says before dashing away to heal one of the most inquired classmates.

His arm was hanging by a thread, but there was no blood, and he didn't seem to be in pain.

Should I ask Mia?

…

A few hours had passed, and we finally made it out of the capsule.

In the beginning and middle of the fight against the monster, we were doing great and completely overwhelmed it… until its final form.

Who knew it'd have a final form? I mean, it was the first time we fought it. Plus, we bȧrėly even got to see it as, as soon as the dinosaur released a white aura, we all died, only seeing sharp bones protruding out of the ground as our final sight.

"*sigh*... Shit… What the hell was that," I mutter while taking a sip of the branded water bottles some of the present staff handed out.

Dark Portal…

"What an edgy ȧss name," Mia says while grabbing my water bottle and taking a sip from it.

Indirect kiss…

"Not as edgy as ours," I respond after taking a cracker from the snack bar and throwing it into my mouth.

"*snicker* Maybe you're right,"

We were currently in the restroom of the new facility installed in our school, and many other kids were here.

It wasn't just my classmates but also some of my upperclassmen, as school had ended quite a while ago.

The raid we were doing was supposed to only take 30 minutes according to the staffs' calculations, but we lasted much longer, way surpassing their expectations, so they decided to use us as guinea pigs.

I don't know what they were testing, but the teacher just said that.

Are they allowed to do that without a guardian's permission?

"Hey, I invited Alex. You want to kill him now or later?" Nell asks while drinking some fruit punch directly from the bowl.

"Stop, you're getting germs everywhere," Astra says, taking the ladle from her mouth and cleaning it with a fresh mouth wipe she pulled out of her pocket.

"We can kill him now," I say, eating a few more crackers and wiping the crumbs from my sweatshirt.

"Kill who?" Mia asks.

"Alexander Bloodriver. You know how every girl he hits on ends up like…" Nell says.

"Oh, he hit on Lucy?"

"Yeah, so we're taking care of him tonight. I never liked him anyway… Though the clean up might be a bit harder than I initially thought,"

"Want me to help?"

"That would be great,"

And another few hours passed with me finally arriving at Nell and Astra's mansion, which was as big as I expected.

It was pretty much as big as Mia's, but the top floor rounded off, so it was just a bit shorter than hers.

Ding Dong

After pressing the doorbell next to the grand gold gate, a ringing could be heard from the mansion in the distance, and without much pause, a maid came to get me.

"Please follow me, esteemed guest,"

"Sure," I respond, not showing the excitement of actually being called an esteemed guest.

The garden was beautiful, not matching what I had thought of in my head. I thought they would follow the blood theme that ran with their last name and power stones, but everything else seemed pretty normal.

As the maid pushed the large door in, I was greeted by a few butlers who brought me to Nell's room, where Astra and Mia were waiting patiently.

"What is she doing here?" A familiar voice asked, and when I turned my head, I saw him.

"Greetings… And good luck," I mutter with a smile as Nell circled behind Alexander and zapped the back of his head with an electric device.

"What the hell was that?" Mia asks.

"Yeah, that was badass," Astra adds.

"Ah, I wanted to play the role of villain, but let's get started,"

"Who's the edgy one now," Mia chuckles to herself.
