They checked our luggage and checked out our personal information while Auntie was under the guise of our parent.
"You have… Thirteen children?" A pale white man asks.
"As you can see,"
"I do see…." The man says.
He was clearly in disbelief, causing some of us to chuckle amongst ourselves before we took in the fantastic view.
Soon, we left the slight hill we were on and made our way through the long and wintery streets that had been coated with a sheet of snow.
Mostly everybody was speaking Danish, but due to my skill, I understood them… speaking though… was a bit of a struggle.
It was strange. I understood the words but didn't understand the language as a whole.
"Okay, girls, it's time to head back to my place," Auntie says before the slowly falling snowflakes turn into a raging snowstorm.
I thought everybody around us in the city would be frightened, but they were strangely ecstatic while snapping their head around as if they were trying to find someone.
But just as their widened eyes landed on us, the snowstorm around us became so thick that I could see anything bȧrėly.
This lasted for only a few seconds before the snowstorm instantly dispersed.
"Why is it so hard to breathe?" Mia asks, but Auntie doesn't even have to respond as we all turn around.
A strong gust of wind almost knocked us off our feet, and a chilling sensation ran down our spine.
It was so cold, and the light snow from before was blowing quickly. Not as strong as the previous snowstorm, but still very strong.
"Follow me,"
We all followed Auntie towards a giant log cabin, not something you'd think a brave would live in.
"You don't have a mansion?" Celestine asks.
"I have multiple… but I like this better," Auntie says as she pushes open the log cabin.
It was surprisingly warm inside, and a fireplace was already crackling.
"Auntie… Why are we here?"
"Nuh-uh… Mom," Auntie says.
"M-mo… ther,"
"Why not, mom?"
"Cause I said so,"
"*sigh*... Well, that's better, at least. Also, we're here because it is the best place to teach you everything in peace," Mother says.
There was only one room and one floor, but it was massive.
There was a large bed, fit for that of an empress… though it was made from wood. Multiple brown beanbags looked like they had been ripped from the clouds… And finally, a small counter that holds a few plates, a kettle, and utensils.
"I call the beanbag!" Electra shouted but was immediately ripped back by us as we tried to get a spot on one of the cloud-like bean bags.
"Girls! Calm down! You can share!"
And so, the war over the beanbags lasted for only a few seconds.
Ethel sat with Electra and Nuala. Charna sat with Clio and Celestine. Sophia sat with Astra and Nell. Amanda and Aria sat together. And finally, I sat on Mia's ŀȧp.
"Okay… Now, would you girls like some food?"
"Yes, please~" We all respond, melting under the warmth.
I curled into a ball and rested my head against Mia's ċhėst, causing my eyelids to droop slightly.
"Are you sleepy?"
"Mhm,"
"Then you can go to sleep if you want…."
"Okay-"
"Wait! Lucy! Do not go to sleep! It is currently 10 in the morning! If you go to sleep now, it will mess up your sleep schedule!" Mom shouts.
"Shaddup! I want to sleep,"
"Lucy!"
"Lucy, I think she's right. How about we have some coffee to wake you up," Mia says.
"Fine," I grumble, cranky because the teleporter basically drained all my stamina.
Plus, the other girls looked sleepy as well.
"I'll make coffee, so don't fall asleep!" Mom shouts once again, not only to me but also to the other girls.
Suddenly, I felt a hand slowly slide down my waist, and it made me jump from the strange sensation.
"M-Mia?"
"Don't like it?"
"N-no, it's fine," I respond, a blush reddening my face.
Mia's other hand came down on the other side of my face, and the strange sensation only grew with each passing second.
Her hands slid down ever farther, and I jumped once again.
"S-stop- eek,"
Mia's lips wrapped around the ridge of my ear, sending something akin to a jolt of lightning down my spine.
"Auntie! Mia's horny!" Clio shouts while giggling to herself a bit.
"I didn't need to know that," Mom says, walking over to us with the first cups of coffee.
First was the Bloodriver beanbag, where Astra almost seemed like she was protecting Sophia from us.
"U-uh, I'm sorry, Miss Brave, but I don't really like coffee. May I have some hot chocolate… if... possible?" Sophia says, her confidence slowly waning as if she was asking for an impossible request.
"Of course… Also, you can call me Auntie… The same goes for the rest of you as well," Mom says as she hands Astra and Nell their coffees but gives the third one to Clio.
"Thanks," Clio says, but just as she was about to take a sip, Celestine jerked it from her hand and took a sip.
It spilled a few drops on Clio, causing her to flinch in pain.
"Motherfu-"
"No cursing when I'm around!" Mom shouts.
A few more minutes passed, and Mia had stopped what she was doing and took a slow sip of black coffee.
"Sorry," She apologizes.
"Don't worry… I-I didn't really mind anyway," I respond, my blush coming back for a split second.
Mia snickered slightly before wrapping her free hand around my waist and hugging me tightly.
"Okay, now that everybody has their cup of coffee, I should probably inform you that you're not staying here for free," Mom says as she sits down in the middle of the carpet.
"What do you mean? It doesn't look like there's much to do here," Aria asks.
"Nope, there's a lot to do," Mom says with a smile.
I immediately had a bad feeling.
…
And a day had passed.
As Mom ordered some beds for us earlier in the morning, we wouldn't get them until tomorrow or the day after as she doesn't have one of those teleporters.
So, this meant we were forced to sleep on the bean bags, which I honestly didn't mind… Mia had other thoughts, though.
"Auntie, can I sleep somewhere else?"
"Huh? Why? Is it uncomfortable?"
"N-no, it's just… My arms really fuċkɨnġ numb," Mia says as she lifts up her limp left arm that I had been resting my head against.
Everybody chuckled to themselves before I moved off of Mia's ŀȧp.
"Here," I say, offering myself as little spoon.
"Ah, thank you,"
Mia immediately curled behind me as Mom began to place blankets over us.
She then turned off the raging fireplace, dimming the light inside the room.
"Goodnight, everyone… Sweet dreams," She mutters.
The howling wind outside was a bit obnoxious, but after I tucked my head under the blanket, I was hit by an instant dose of drowsiness.
The warmth from Mia was also lovely, causing me to go to sleep with the lullaby of hooting owls and chirping crickets.
