The Saga of Robert Samson

Robert Samson, born a normal enough child to a couple of wandering merchants, was gifted with an extraordinary power at birth. As a Marked One, a race of humans touched by fae power, able to manifest markings on their body to perform various arcane feats, Robert quickly rises through the ranks of the College of Milagre as a studious, genius, and lightning-fast mage. Relying on his marks to drastically strengthen his eyes and mind, he can take in information ten times faster than any other mage, and uses this to graduate with highest honors.

Robert Samson wants nothing more than to uncover the history of ancient magicks. To do this, he needs money and experience. As it so happens, both are available in exorbitant quantity in the Adventurer's Guild!
