The cafeteria was buzzing with noise as people happily laughed at joked around. Noel was sitting with his other classmates and the recruits. Since they had a class together, they had gotten to know each other pretty well. There were 30 people—12 from Noel's class, excluding Alum, and 18 recruits. The recruits were all more energetic today, for a good reason. The Saint and Hero they admired were seated at the same table. Noel was curious about the Saint and had heard a particular rumor about his friend and the Saint. Noel’s first impression of her was that she was beautiful and had a charming personality. She had this elegant mature vibe around her. The hero he had gotten to know when they first met at the plain glanced at him. Understanding that she wanted to talk, he got up to get a refill, and she did the same. He was curious about what she wanted to say. After all, he can’t say his first impression of her was good compared to her sisters. As he got close to the refill station, the Hero spoke to him. “You’re Noel Karlson, right?” Noel slightly nodded his head. “ That’s right. Is there anything you want from me?” Noel said in a neutral voice.

Chely knew that Noel was more friendly and cheerful based on his interactions with others. But she didn’t want to take it personally. As he was cautious of her, it was a given. “Actually, I have a question about your friend. Alum Miller. Where is he?” Hearing this, Noel was taken by surprise. Noticing this, Chely continued. “You guys seemed close when I first saw you, so I wondered if you knew his whereabouts.” Noel was glad that even a stranger could see they were close friends and started to soften up. “Well, he is still in the base. It’s just that he does things independently from us.” Hearing this, Chely frowned a bit. (I’m sorry, Ame… seems like it didn’t go as planned.) Noel, who was curious as to why Chely was frowning, asked. “Is there any particular reason? If I may ask?” He didn’t know what she wanted with Alum, but he felt it might be related to the Saint. “Well, my cute sister actually likes that guy.” Hearing the cheerfulness behind those words, he couldn't help but chuckle. “I see, so the rumor is true….” He said. Chely looked at him, or actually, it was behind him. Following her gaze, he found Alum.

And to his side was Professor Luna. At first, Noel thought she was someone that looked younger than her actual age. Only to find out that she was their age. Professor Luna had been in charge of an elite mage squad for two years and currently teaching them all. She usually ate with them during lunch, but Noel had never seen her in the mornings. Not to mention, Alum was with her too. (Maybe it has something to do with Sir Rigeld?) He thought. But Professor Luna seemed more gentle. Chely then spoke. “Hey… let’s go.” He nodded and followed her.

Alum and Luna were feeling hungry and decided to head to the cafeteria together. Luna usually didn’t eat in the mornings, and Alum usually slept. They entered the cafeteria, and he got a lot of attention, but that wasn’t anything new. This happened all the time when he was with Noel. So he was numb to it. Luna was also used to the gazes of others and did not mind. They both had a plate in their hands, looking for a place to sit. Alum saw Noel and Chely walking towards them. For some reason, Chely did not look pleased. “Good morning Princess Luna, you too, Mr. Alum.” She said. Alum had no idea why she would call him Mister. Noel, too, greeted them. “Good morning Alum, Professor Luna.” Noel seemed kind of odd to him since he was usually more bright. “Good morning,” both Alum and Luna replied. “Why don’t we take a seat with the others?” Asked Noel. Alum and Luna both agreed and went with Chely and Noel.

The others made space for both Alum and Luna and wondered why the two of them were together. Amethely just watched it all with a smile on her face. Happy to see Alum join them. Also, the fact that Alum is seated in front of her. Chely looked at her sister, she wasn’t sure Amethely understood what was going on, but well… she seemed happy at least. Sitting to Alum’s left, Noel asked why the two of them were together since he found it strange, and they both replied, “breakfast?” Chely couldn’t stand it. The two of them were basically in sync. She directed her gaze at Noel, asking if he knew anything. Noel gave her a defeated look. That is to say; he doesn't know.

Luna, who hadn’t seen the Saint in a while, thought she was as beautiful as ever. Even she admired her, and to think she would get a chance to teach alongside her excited Luna. Luna then greeted the Saint. “Good morning Saint Amehtely.” Amethely smiled and greeted her back. “Good Morning, Princess Luna. No need to be so formal. We will be working together from now on, so you can call me Ame!” She’s so bright, Luna thought. “... T-then you can also call me Luna,” she said in a calm and soft voice. She could totally understand why her friend Al had fallen for the Saint. Speaking of said friend, he was too quiet. Luna looked at him. (Why aren’t you saying anything? She’s here, isn’t she!?) Alum avoided her gaze as to say. (I can’t help it! I don’t know what to say!) Luna then stepped on his toes. (Introduce yourself, for god sake!)

Amethely, who had no idea why the two had a staring contest, started to feel something she’s never felt, jealousy. She also wanted to talk to Alum too but wasn’t sure how. (Oh, right, I haven’t introduced myself!) With determination, she greeted Alum while fidgeting and blushing. “U-um… y-you’re mister Alum Miller, right? N-nice to meet you! I’m Ame Ilis!” Everyone at the table froze. They have never thought that the Saint could be this endearing. They were all also thinking (she messed up.) Noel, who didn't want to get involved, decided to eat quietly. He looked over at Chely, who had a face of adoration for her adorable little sister. Luna, who sat beside Alum, struck him lightly with her elbow. She and all the others stared at him, saying (don’t you feel bad for her?) With their gaze.

Alum, thought Amethely, who was cute, had gotten cuter. He, too, had been blushing but less obvious. “Nice to meet you too, Miss. Ame Ilis.” Amethely froze, realizing she had messed up. Everyone around the table thought. (Are you serious? Didn’t you listen to Professor Luna greeting her?) Alum also realized that he had messed up. “Wait, my name is actually Amethely; I just… please can call me Ame….” Alum nodded. “... Then, Ame? Right?” Amethely happily smiled. “Yes! It’s a pleasure seeing you again. I’m sorry for the trouble I’ve caused you in the park….) Alum chuckled. “No, it wasn’t troublesome at all. No need to apologize.” Ame happily smiled and played with her silver gray hair. “I-I see… hehe, I look forward to teaching you.” When everyone heard that, they just felt pity at that point. “... I have independent studies… So….)

Amethely, who was on the verge of tears, seeing that her plans had failed in misery before they could even properly begin. Noel looked at Alum as if saying. (Do you regret it now?) Ame began to speak again. She did not want the conversation to end there. “I see… that’s a shame.” And before Alum could say anything, Luna jumped into their conversation. “Hey, Alum, why don’t you join us for today?” The mood suddenly gets brighter when Ame finds some hope. Seeing the Saint, they admire acting like a girl in love was very precious to them. All eyes were on Alum. “... Then please let me join today.” He said while scratching his cheek. Ame, who had completely turned off her Saintly side, blushed and celebrated in her head. Alum looked toward Luna (thank you!) He said with his gaze, and Luna, who had a smug look, that says. (We’re friends, aren’t we?) Ame, who noticed their exchange puffed her cheeks and pouted.
