Steve's POV
I have been honoured with a special mission by Lord Harold. This is to train his son in the ways of hand to hand combat and swordsmanship so that he can protect himself without using his magic every time he is in danger. It was made clear that Ray was only to use his magic in the direst of times so as to prevent him from causing a mana storm wherever he goes. Although Ray was not to use his magic, he still needed to train so as to be well equipped when danger shows its face, so Merle an S class Quad mage was to teach him the ways of magic. Trina a powerful assassin and the strongest of Harold's special unit was to come along and protect the child during our training and also teach him some combat and assassination techniques if she wishes. The training was to take two years and we were to carry it out in a region which was not inhabited by humans, elves, demons or beastmen so as to prevent a backlash of power during his magic training. It was decided that the forest of monsters was best suited for Ray's training. The journey to the forest was to commence the following day. Except what happened to Ray diverted our plans.
Harold's POV
I had instructed Steve the best knight I know to teach Ray the ways of the sword. Merle was to teach Ray the ways of magic and Trina was to be his personal guard. This was in order to prepare Ray to be well suited and prepared to compete in the contest of Royals. I choose Steve so that he can also teach Ray the chivalry of knights since Steve highly regards honour. This is so that Ray can grow into a chivalrous Royal who can bring honour to the Royal bloodline when he wins the contest of crowns and becomes the crowned. The training was to take two years and was to take place in the forest of monsters. The plan was to commence the following day. Crystal became a little hostile when she heard that Ray was to leave the mansion for two years to go and train she was especially insecure of the fact that she will not be able to see Ray. She was also afraid that Ray might get hurt but I reassured her by telling her I put the best candidates to teach and protect him. I also told her she could visit Ray every month so that she does not miss him that much. This seemed to relax her a little. But then another problem arose that seemed to drive our plan off course.
Crystal's POV
Mr Harold has informed me that Ray is to leave for a two-year training plan. This news brought a feeling of distress especially when I learned that they were to train in the Forest of Monsters. I tried to resist since I had come to see Ray as my child. I fought tooth and nail to get Mr Harold to change his mind. I would say I was doing this for his sake but that would be lying, I was doing this for my sake. I knew with Ray gone My life would become as dull as it can be. Ray was the only light in my life. He was the only thing that gave me purpose in life so when Mr Harold said he was taking Ray away I felt like my whole world had been turned Upside down. Mr Harold did his best to convince me to let Ray go for the training that I ended up accepting. During my conversation with Mr Harold, a scream was heard, this seem to come in the direction of Ray's room I quickly left Mr Harold's office and ran straight towards Ray's room. On entering I could not believe what I saw, the scene brought a cold shiver down my spine. I could not take it then the next thing I saw was darkness enveloping me. I passed out.
Luna's POV
Hello, my name is Luna and I am Ray's Nanny. I take care of Ray's needs I am there to make sure Ray is well fed and well taken care of. Ray is unlike any child I have taken care of. He is not a lot of work as you would expect of taking care of growing children. He takes care of himself and has reduced my workload to the point it seems that my services to him are not needed. All I do is get him his food and do his laundry he seems to do all the other things very well. Today as I was taking his lunch to him, I got Ray sweating, and he was groaning. His body was in a state of seizure. I could not understand what was happening all I could do was let out a cry that could bring help to him.
