Choo! Choo!

“Amich!” Silvia’s cry resonated with the Cronus monolith she had stashed inside her pouch. It unlocked certain arcane magic within her body that she never knew she had.

Black Liver, a Curse Treasure of Immortalis gifted Silvia the strength to surmount the limits of her physical limiters. Peering ahead, she noticed the front part of the train already making contact with Amich’s anterior.

“Amich!” After her internal outburst, everything appeared to slow down if not entirely stopped. Silvia used this opportunity to dash ahead and grabbed her brother to safety. The force she crashed into him with set things back in motion.

Silvia managed to move her brother to the other side of the railway but at a steep price. The lower part of her left leg was unfortunately caught between the rails and the wheels of the train. Their metallic combination severed her leg so quickly that it took a minute for her to realize what had happened, moreover, began experiencing the aftereffects.

“KYAH!” Silvia began releasing a dreadful cry that almost gave away her position if the train wasn’t still passing by. She was experiencing a pain that she had never felt before. Her agony was so toxic that it infected her brother.

“Sister!” Amich became terribly upset upon hearing his sister’s cry, moreover, seeing her wounded leg.

“You’ll pay for this, metal creature!” Amich faced the moving train with various parts of his body already bulging out of proportion and growing bristled amounts of furs. He was about to unleash his animalistic wrath upon the metallic oppressor who took his sister's leg, but he didn’t get the chance to ram it off the tracks because of Silvia’s intervention.

“Amich stop!” She called out to him to prevent what he was about to do.

Amich glanced back at her with his Silver Fangs already exposed to their fullest maturity. “But sister this creature wounded you.” He was reluctant to heed his sister’s command and faced the train again.

“Amich I said stop. You’re no match for that creature. Instead of doing something that will make others notice us, come and help me out. I’m losing too much blood.”

“Huh?” Amich realized that Silvia was getting very pale due to the amount of blood she was losing. He cast away his vengeance and ran over to her aid. With his partial transformation still active, he lowered his head over Silvia’s leg and bit into her flesh deeply with his Silver Fangs. This stopped the bleeding and infected her leg with portions of the Lycanthropy virus.

“That’s good Amich. Keep your fangs inside me while I attempt to heal myself.” While Amich’s fangs were still burrowed inside her leg, Silvia eased herself forward so she could get a better angle to operate.

“Restoro Juvinarium.” After whispering these magical words in her right hand, emerald light began to form within her palm. It transformed into a butterfly. She directed the arcane energy source to the severed part of her leg to assist with the restoration of her limb.

“That’s enough, Amich. I’ve already activated the regenerative process.”

“Hm.” Amich withdrew his fangs and cancelled his partial wolf transformation at his sister’s behest. Parts of his clothing were torn to pieces but he could care less about his appearance. All that concerned him was his sister’s condition. He kept his gaze fixated on her leg as it was reconstructing the fundamental building blocks and blood vessels at a snail's pace.

“Why is it taking to so long to grow back?” Amich didn’t understand the reason for this slow regeneration. Usually, whenever either of them got hurt, they were able to regenerate a lot faster.

Silvia assumed, “Something strange happened to me on my way here to save you and I lost a lot of blood. So either of these factors could be the cause. I need a fresh source of blood to hasten my regeneration.”

“I’ll go get some for you.” Amich was eager to help his sister get better. He assisted her up from the ground and let her rest her weight on him as they ventured further ahead through the bushy pass.

Glancing back at the vacant train tracks, Amich thought about carrying out his revenge the next time he met with that long-bodied creature of the new world.
