The walk to the entrance was a long one, with him being on the fifth floor and all. Drifting toward it, Silver's thoughts drifted as well. Catching sight of the vacant hospital rooms in passing, he couldn't help but think back to the earlier string of events. He allowed it. Now calm of mind, he dared to journey to his past. His first focus was Rachel's Unique power, which had been the vehicle for his earlier trip.
'A power involving parallel words. One that allows its user to trade possibilities across world lines,' he summed up, remembering the sight of the interuniversal bubbles.
The best way to explain Rachel's power was to compare it to Silver's Unique power, for they were remarkably similar. Both involved interacting with parallel worlds and trading things. The main area where they differed was what they could trade.
Where Silver's Unique power allowed him to shift soul data across parallel universes, Rachel's could only switch physical possibilities. Yes, switch. Whenever she healed someone in this universe, another version of the person would gain an unexpected injury. She never healed anybody in the truest sense, merely swapped their physical states. Silver, while in the bubble, had understood this process clearly.
How?
As mentioned, the pair's powers were similar. This likeness caused a strange phenomenon - nay, phenomena to take place. Silver hadn't just seen the bubbles - no, he had experienced them. His Unique power, the snowflake it was, was triggered as soon as it made contact with Rachel's Psi, resulting in a strange resonance.
Upon being engulfed in the Reality Bubble, Silver's mind was flooded with information. While he wasn't everything everywhere all at once, he was forced to connect to thirty-two of his other selves across the various parallel worlds. Silver's attention was split thirty-three different ways as real-time sensory information bombarded his mind.
Faced with the flood, most others would be overwhelmed and lose their sense of self. Silver didn't. The fused being was a fish in familiar waters and managed to retake the reins in a matter of moments. He had once split himself into billions with Clones, so dealing with a few dozen other selves was simple after the initial shock.
Following the shock, awe but more importantly enlightenment. Within the Reality Bubble, he understood. Not everything, but more than he had before, about the nature of the reality he found himself in.
After this discovery, Silver focused on his other selves. The sensory information streaming in was interesting, to say the least, with everything from the third row of bubbles onward being especially fascinating. Traversing landscapes unknown with people unknown having conversations in languages Silver couldn't follow.
Flying through a cloudless purple sky with dragon-like wings; pummeling an iron golem with his bare hands; watching fireworks beside a group of girls who looked to be friends - hmm, more than friends; trading items with a spectacle-wearing goblin who was haggling too much for his liking...
For every second that passed in the outside world for Rachel and the twins, thirty-three seconds passed for Silver. The Transmigrator amused himself with these novel sights for all of three seconds before an idea struck him, one that was as brilliant as it was diabolic.
Thinking it over, Silver's heart ignited with an untold frenzy. Without delay, he mentally tugged at his parallel selves with all his might.
The reasoning behind his actions was simple. His original self's nigh-omnipotent power lay scattered in the other parallel universes, embedded in the souls of his other selves. Thirty-two soul fragments weren't going to return him to an Exceed-level existence, but if he could regain even one of his main techniques, he'd be unstoppable. And even if he couldn't, just abducting them and having them awaken psionic powers like Ray had would net Silver thirty-two new powers!
He had to go for it and so he did. Alas, his attempt remained an attempt. His soul fragments didn't budge from their current hosts, refusing Silver's call. So firm was their stance, his parallel selves remained totally unaware of the kidnapping attempt.
Failing disappointed but Silver didn't give up. His mind raced at the speed of light. He focused on the first row of bubbles, on selves whose universes should be nearly identical to his current one. His aim was information. Perhaps his other selves knew something that would aid him, like a convenient level-up device or method. Silver attempted communication between him and North East 1 first and...failure.
He didn't let up and ran through the bubbles, trying to connect to his other selves in a meaningful way. In the end, all attempts ended in failure. He couldn't communicate with them nor access their memories. All he had was a stream of their real-time sensory data, in other words, interuniversal cable.
Going nowhere and reaching nothing, Silver was bitterly disappointed, but that was the extent of his feelings on the matter. Had Rachel finished up her treatment at this point, the fused being would walk away from the meeting with a smile, considering it an overall good experience.
But then it happened.
It wasn't just his magical powers that resided inside his other selves, Silver's memories - his original self's memories did too. His tugging had caused his other selves' latent memories to rush to the surface and then to his mind. The suddenness whiplashed Silver. An indescribable pain ripped through his being but this was pleasant compared to what would follow. After coming to, the fused being was forced to remember his life in One World.
The memories makest the person; this was true. Silver was proud of himself, of what he was, of what he had accomplished. Before stepping into the hospital room, he was certain to have less than 0.000001% of his original self's memories.
This wasn't much, but strangely enough, even with the massive gaps present, Silver believed he had a firm understanding of his original self's story and life.
If asked whether he would like to have 100% of his original self's memories, he would answer "yes" without delay. His original self would be omniscient to the residents of this world, being a master in nearly every domain imaginable.
The most advanced technology interacted with the Concepts themselves and could produce universe-altering effects. Regaining such knowledge would make Silver, even as a Rank 3, invincible in his current world.
All that said, more than 99% of his memories were those that he'd rather never have to remember. They were not only useless to him, but the act of remembering them would also plummet his mood to hell. Those memories bespoke a dark and foolish past, of nothing but anger, hatred, regrets and tragedy.

Needless to say, the latent memories that rushed into Silver's head weren't the useful type of ones that would turn him into a god amongst men but a string of terrible experiences. Worst yet, he didn't just remember them in the usual distant manner but instead remembered them in such vividity, his consciousness was seemingly roped back in time, before the current reality's birth, to the One World.
A teary-eyed princess slashing at her wrist while wearing a sorrowful smile; an orb of darkness and an orb of gold, a True King's arrogant gaze looking down from above at a kneeling Silver; a raven-haired blood-eyed Zero too fond of smirking and playing with her mask, an embodiment of the Tower of Lebab's sadism; a beautiful dark elf wrapped up in pale vines as her only clothing, seated on a throne of wilted trees, palm dancing with the grey Flames of Chaos as she nonchalantly explained her intentions in birthing Silver; and finally, the World of Black and White, where Silver, as both Black and White, watched as his other self rushed to destroy him, driven by the purest of hatred.
'Dammit!' he cursed, clenching his fist.
Silver hadn't spent more than a few seconds on each memory segment and yet, he still couldn't help but sport a sour face in the aftermath. Clicking his tongue, he decided to pick up speed; he needed a change of pace. Exiting the hospital's entrance some thirty seconds later, his residual negative emotions were instantly vanquished.
"Oh, you're out, perfect timing."
A bright smile bloomed on Silver's face at the air Mimic's comment. "Yeah..." he replied before continuing internally, '...more than you know, buddy.'
His eyes left Skye in search of another, but upon finding Yuki, he was forced to squint. "My milkshake? Snowball, where's it gone?" he asked, his gaze searching her person frenetically.
The ice Mimic flashed a cheeky smile before sticking out her strawberry-stained tongue to reveal her unforgivable crime.
Silver's face faltered before the adorable confession. Eyeing her tongue, certain ideas arose. He briefly considered closing in and reclaiming what was his...but upon finding reason, he quickly discarded said line of thinking.
'Haa...looks like I'm still missing a few screws,' he thought, shaking his head with a bitter smile.
Yuki misinterpreted the gesture and followed up with, "Don't pout, I'll buy you another one, okay?"
Silver's eye twitched and he refocused on the ice Mimic. "You...kidding me, right? You betray my trust and think one measly milkshake will make up the difference...make it two," the fused being flashed a peace sign with the seriousness of a soldier preparing for war.
"Aha, sure thing," Yuki giggled, the others chuckling and showing amused smiles at Silver's antics, clearly the Ralf in him showing.
"So, how was it?" Charlotte asked, looking to the entranceway. "Meeting the famed Nightingale-"
"Your foot," Lane cut off the Onic Master, causing everyone's attention to shift toward Silver's reddened foot.
"Huh, why's there still blood?" Skye asked, voicing everyone's question.
Silver shrugged. "It's because I decided to heal some parts myself...for practice's sake."
"Strange, but coming from you, par for the course," Charlotte rationalised, getting nods from her surroundings. "What about the meeting though? Anything interesting happen?"
Silver suppressed his expression's collapse with his best poker face, before saying, "I'd call the meeting memorable before I ever it interesting. Regardless, it's the past and I'm putting it behind me. Let's focus on the present - no, the future, shall we?"
"What do you have in mind?" Violet spoke up, putting her curiosity about the memorable meeting aside for the moment. "Want to return to the Anzi event? They've already started the matches."
Silver shook his head. "Nope, let's skip that. I'm drained and need to unwind. I'm thinking we have one of our signature get-togethers, to celebrate my victory and our first official meeting. Who's with me?"
Silver needn't wait long for their responses; they came instantly and enthusiastically, bringing a smile to the fused being's face. All on board with his suggestion, the group moved at once. A union technique Psi vehicle was made and the group rushed toward the commercial zone, raiding a few shops and restaurants for party-going supplies before parking their butts in the get-together hotel room.
Silver didn't stay as Silver for too long; after an hour, he defused, to the disappointment of the others who wished to learn more about him. He left big shoes to fill but luckily for the group, Ray and Ralf's combined efforts managed to fill them. The group would pass the time joyously, doing the usual and unusual, until the next day's early hours, forgetting both past and future to enjoy the present to their fullest.
