[Archangel System activated]

A young man with a mop of messy black hair dressed in an olive green shirt and black pants huffed and puffed holding a long broad sword in his hand. Gawking above him a plethora of angels sits above his head floating.

On the ground lay many men and women as their crimson blood drained from their bodies from over-exhaustion. Their celestial horns blared deafening all in unison proclaiming their existence.

"Oh one of them still lives!" One angel cackled.

"I am going to use your moves against you winged assholes!" He shouted.

Large wings manifest growing out from his ankles; unfurling long feathers. Under his feet burned an astral blue flame a ring beneath him. He was always afraid to use this skill due to the fact he was scared of heights back then, but now he had no time to have fear.

The grand throned angel sat in a large rotating sphere of gold ringlets intertwined between each other. In the middle sat one dressed in fine royal blue lacquer robes carrying a large spear.

"You done well to come this far little one." He smirked.

"Shut the hell up! My friends are dying because of you!" The boy yelled.

Motioning towards the hierarchy behind him he pointed at the armored in front of him. They all laughed in harmony and came to an instant halt when he made a gesture with his fingers.

"Let's what the little cretin's level was before we kill him!" Throned Angel announced.

They all cast a pall of silence watching as the screen calculated his numbers embarrassing the kid.

"You barely will be a challenge for us little man!" He boasted.

The kid growled furious coughing bright red bodily fluid up in the palm of his hand. Keeping his balance he swung his punch at the throned angel leaving a mark on his pristine face.

The audience behind him gasped. He registered the pain that spouted from the hit alone. The throned angel pulled his hand back.

"Dust Devil!" The black-haired boy muttered.

Casting a large whirlwind that started out small to gather the longer it made the rotation. The higher angels pushed it away with a simple breeze rendering it an ineffective attack.

"Give it up…you are useless under your true masters." He barked.

The trumpet resounds displaying their dominance. Each one of the instruments morphed into a weapon. One by one their innocent demeanor dropped from their faces as their expressions disappeared.

They charged at the warrior who braced himself for each smack, smashes, hit, and swipe with their swords, daggers, and axes.

Battered left to right he couldn't keep up with the attacks. They screeched high-pitched screams and shrieks in his ears causing them to burst his eardrums. Oozing blood dripped down his cheeks.

[Health 1150/50,000]

"Holy bulwark!" He shouted.

A yellow light shielded the thick-headed hero barely equipped enough to fight a horde let alone one from the angels coming at him with their equipment.

"How am I going to survive this…" He whispered to himself.

[Health -20]

The levels of the heavenly beings were much higher hence able to dent the shield evaporating within seconds.  The throned armored angel faded in front of the soldier holding his decorated lance back with a smile showcasing his pearly whites.

Thrusting the halberd into his stomach impaling the hero with every ounce of strength he could muster.

His vision blurred. Becoming red he couldn't see anything as gravity pulled the dying kid back to earth. The inky-haired kid's body landed on the lush green grass with a thud.

"This…isn't…real…" He sputtered.

The throned angel howled out victorious standing high above the corpses. Checking if anyone else would dare move in his presence. Gawking around before giving a couple of signs.

"Time to summon the next batch."

The lonesome warrior wanted to move his hands, but he waited till he heard the wings flap away. It was all black he couldn't even open his as he felt the arms of someone lift him up.

"Don't move please…"

An elf with beige hair pinned back into a wild ponytail pulled out a potion from his satchel and opened the jaws of the injured to pour it slowly.

"They forget even though you hit zero you still have a few seconds…cocky angel bastards…"

"Ahh…"

"Don't talk." The elf scolded.

He helped him sit up to push the wounded kid on his back. Lifting his legs he took the binding rope that was in his satchel to assist him with keeping him up shoving his legs around his waist to get a better grip.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but you will be alright…my name is Gael." He grinned.

The defeated warrior could scantily get a hold of his surroundings let alone acknowledge someone was watching from the forest to catch the last battle.

"We will help bury your friends." He stated.

He wriggled fingers lightly tapping against the elf's body signaling he could hear something. His head bobbed to the side letting out a small sigh.

"Hey, hey are you okay?" Gael questioned.

Stopping for a few seconds he had to think rationally before continuing his journey through the heavily guarded wood before them.

"We will get home fast!"

It took a few jumps for him before he could get his footing in the moss and rocks to start dashing forward towards his home through the thicket ahead. Leaps and bounds he kept his balance with the hero of the world on his back.

It became dark the more they progressed. Shadowy hands followed by the close. Gael could sense them being keeping him swift on his toes.

"Give me the child!"

A loud low groan called out for Gael to relinquish the wounded child. Gael vaulted high into the trees moving at a faster pace avoiding the gloom overcasting itself.

"I won't let you have him!" Gael yelled.

Slithering nearer the being ensnared the two in the obscurity of its existence. Gael couldn't seem to release itself from its clutches crying out.

"Give me the boy and I let you leave little elfling!"

"Never!"

"I…am…not…worth…it…" The boy whispered.

"Don't devalue yourself! You are the hero of this land!" Gael shouted.

"Go…please…"

"Yes go please elfling before I grind your bones!" He threatened.

Gael was automatically released staying with the vortex of darkness claiming the unsung hero now in its custody.

"I will be back!" Gael assured.

"It will be too late! Come dying hero…" It grumbled.
