Atlus sat up in bed. His hair had permanently colored with strands of pink throughout the top of his head. A stethoscope made its way around the boys chest.

"Take it easy, Atlus." A woman said.

Dressed as a world war two nurse. She was slightly older with a head full of curls and a nursing hat pinned in. The next bed over Kuo was still sleeping only to have Li-Hua sitting beside him watching him rest peacefully.

"Old woman he didn't get hurt!" Li-Hua argued.

"Shhh! Briar Black broke the rules of nesting!" She replied.

"Laugh it up!" Briar Black shouted.

He barged in through the door angrily. The nurse and Li-Hua gawked at the tall man beat himself up. Confused to why he was so mad all of the sudden.

"What the hell happened this time?" The nurse asked.

"Please Helen not now!" Briar Black moaned.

"Was it Sanna?" Helen smiled.

"Kinda…but not all of it…"

"Then why are you bitching?" Li-Hua questioned.

"I heard something happened, but at the same time I am not sure…"

"What exactly could be worse right now?" Hele inquired.

"Goddess Bao…I heard she fell ill or something, but nearly impossible to kill a god her stature."

The room became silent only their eyes all on Briar Black. He didn't realize it would cause them all to quiet in a heartbeat.

"When did you start to care about Bao?" Hellen asked.

His face twinged red for a couple seconds. He looked as though something was eating at him, but he couldn't say what it was exactly.

"I don't, but something happened after we left." Briar noted.

"Do you plan to visit her or something?" Li-Hua laughed.

"Hell no! Why did I even say anything you people don't get it!" Briar yelled.

Briar exited slamming the door behind him. Atlus looked down with a blank expression on his face. Helen became curious the more she looked him over.

"Ehhh? What is this?!" Helen screamed.

Slithering out from under Atlus was a blue wavy tail with a face looking straight up at her. It waved back and forth in confusion for a few seconds.

"Name is Saxe!" It smiled.

"You scared the hell out of me!" Helen said.

Her other four appendages burst from her side out of excitement. She had no idea what to say or how to fully react. Li-Hua turned around to see the commotion to only lift her darkened sun glasses.

"Poor Atlus has to deal with a bastard like you." Li-Hua cackled.

"Nice tits!" It snickered.

Gazing down she covered her top with the small fluffy pink jacket she was wearing. Almost angrily she was ready to smash it noticing it was attached was attached to her master.

"Well I never!" Helen shrieked.

"What's it to you?!" Saxe shouted.

Helen pulled her top down a smidge horrifying the worm like tail. It quickly hid its face for Helen to laugh out loudly.

"Put it away! I beg you!" Saxe whined.

She tugged on her top pushing it back in place. Atlus said nothing the whole time worrying Helen.

"Atlus…Saxe what is wrong with him?" She pondered.

"Hmmm…"

Saxe squeezed his eyes shut concentrating on his shared companion. For several seconds he said nothing making a distinct loud humming noise.

Fwap!

"What the fuck was that for?!" Saxe asked.

"That damned humming noise!" Li-Hua muttered.

"Okay! Okay I will stop, but…I can't sense anything abnormal." Saxe explained.

"But is it normal for someone to act like this?" Li-Hua questioned.

"I was just born today give me a break!" Saxe debated.

Helen and Li-Hua sighed. Dizzily Kuo sat up yawning. His eyes returned to normal from the earlier fiasco.

[Good Morning assistant, Kuo]

"Where am I?" Kuo asked.

"You are in the nurses office." Helen chuckled.

Kuo got off the bed turning his attention away from them quietly. Inching away from them till he reached the door.

"Not so fast, Kuo!" Li-Hua shouted.

"This is a dream and I do not exist." Kuo mumbled.

"If I show you my goods is that still a dream?" Li-Hua smiled.

His tired brain could not think enough to fully think what she had said for his eyes to pop open. Kuo's nose slightly bleeding at the thought.

"Shut up!" Kuo said muffled.

He brought his hand up to his nose holding his fingers trying to put pressure. Kuo ended up wiping the straying blood onto his shirt.

Turning to face Li-Hua he acknowledged a lady and Atlus sitting there. Atlus looked different to Kuo's vision making him scratch his chin.

"Is Atlus okay?" Kuo inquired.

"He is just transitioning still is all." Helen stated.

Li-Hua got up to stroll over to Kuo. Her finger poking into his chest. Dragging the glasses off her face she tossed them to the ground closing in the nervous man.

"Welcome to hell, Kuo," She grinned.

"Did we die?" Kuo gulped.

"I mean you could say that, but both of us are still are human." Li-Hua clarified.

She licked her lips. Suddenly he recalled how she ate the insides of Atlus earlier as the stone lion. Bringing his hand up he pushed her away frightened.

"We almost share the same mind, Kuo." She smiled.

"Y-You were the stone lion!" Kuo pointed out.

Her large canines became apparent the more looked. Stretching for Kuo he nearly shook before he recognized she felt the same as any time he had bumped heads with her.

"It was merely my duty Kuo…"

"Do you enjoy eating human?!" Kuo challenged.

"It is tasty, but I still love BBQ!" She snickered.

A pang of relief hit him, but this only gave him many more questions the more he thought of what he was doing here and how.

"Wasn't I just at a trial?" Kuo asked.

"Forget it already! It's done!" Li-Hua scolded.

"But why?"

"Kuo, you are safe now."

She said with a soft smile on her face. Standing there he knew he was out of dangers way. Surely the reason she wasn't wishing to discuss the subject.

"I am actually hungry…" Kuo moaned.

"Okay lets go get something to eat then!" Li-Hua cheered.
