Chapter 12: Volume 1*Chapter 11*

Alliance Hall

 

Lillian was adding Guild Master Asato to the Registrar before taking her around to the other departments to meet the others.

After meeting everyone in the Alliance Hall, Lillian took her out to the Underground Laboratory to meet Kyota.

"You guys at least have the basics of buildings around." Guild Master Asato says.

She was impressed to see that they had thought this far ahead despite just starting.

"Even though we're a small group now, using E.C.S., we'll be able to go even further," Lillian says.

"E.C.S? Is that some kind of program?" Guild Master asked. 

They finally came upon the entrance to the underground laboratory, it was in the disguise under a fake bush that moves when you press a button.

Once Lillian pressed it, the bush moved to reveal the ground floor which opened, and out came a tube-like elevator, "let's go." Lillian says heading inside.

They entered the elevator and Lillian pressed the down button. Doing this the elevator started going down, the floor was back in place making everything dark for a bit.

While going down Lillian explained more about what was being accomplished in the laboratory. She wasn't sure what future research Kyoto will have to do as time passes.

They started seeing lights the further they went down and finally, the elevator stopped revealing large iron doors that had an employee scanner next to them.

Since Lillian had stopped by the mechanic's department at Central Base, Guild Master Asato had already received her Employee ID Card and Status Watch.

"I'll let you scan so you can get used to using your ID," Lillian told her.

Once scanned the doors took about two minutes to open. Kyoto was already standing in the all-white hallway waiting for their arrival.

He must have been been told ahead of time by the boss. 

"You must be the new Guild Master, Sergent Asato, It's a pleasure to meet you I'm Kyoto Yen." The two shook hands upon greeting.

It was not required for Kyoto to call her guild master, so she did not correct him to do so. "I'm honored to meet the first person to be hired to work here." Guild Master Asato says.

Kyoto chuckled before leading them down the hall to another set of security doors and scanning his ID card. The doors opened to reveal the vast laboratory space.

"Woah." Guild master Asato breathed in wonder.

"Welcome to the laboratory, follow me and I'll show what the boss has me working on," Kyoto says beckoning them to follow him.

They had to walk around many empty areas before reaching an area known as potion making, "here we are. it's just me as you can see."

Kyoto explains the progress in his research, "honestly, I was thinking about asking Lillian to find some alchemists to make the potion after researching more about how to make it." 

"I'll be sure to add it among the other requests I received before I got here. Before I start taking them on, I'll use my time to find more recruitment agents." Lillian says.

"That's understandable, where will you guys head to after this?" He asked.

"I'll be taking the guild master back to the Alliance Hall. I'm sure she'll want to organize her office," Lillian answers.

"So has she already met with the boss?" Kyoto asked.

"I have, it was a great experience, so I had already agreed to take on the job as the guild master after meeting him." guild master Asato answered.

"I'm glad to hear that, and again, it was a pleasure to meet you." 

They left the laboratory and went straight back to the Alliance Hall where Lillian left the guild master. Her mission to recruit a guild master was completed.

On her Status Watch, she received a mission complete reward, which was coins for the store and stat points. 

She also leveled up to level two.

 

Center Base

 

I'm glad to see that everything is going as I wanted. With many departments already at work I can see the progress I made since I had awoken.

As we speak the mechanic is building the tower that will help many future devices that will work more efficiently. 

Thanks to Utan, I have eyes everywhere on the base, from security cameras to drones that both Mr. Rui and Utan worked on together.

I even got a contact from Lillian who says she's working on finding more recruitment agents to make things easier for her when there is more than one recruitment request.

The shop was already unlocked for a few of my subordinates, they have been using the points they gained from completing missions to buy what they needed.

As for me, I don't really have anything to do as I'm just a system. I'm constantly upgrading thanks to Utan who keeps an eye on my data. 

Every now and again I find myself looking in on everyone to see what they were doing or to get a report on today's completed missions. 

I'm hoping that there'll be a day where I can have my revenge.
