“The false wielder comes to the cloven pit to fight me.”
Then he thrusted his arms up into the air and that’s when I noticed there were people in the stands that I hadn’t seen till now. They all looked like they didn’t want to be here. Some of them, though, had gleeful looks on their faces.
“Let’s start the duel for all to see! I shall strike down this demon!” he shouted.
The door behind me closed and I looked at him with both my hands behind my back. I wanted to make sure that he did something to my sister so I could have a nice fulfilling feeling afterward.
“did you do something to Ariel?” I asked.
“You mean the summoned hero? Yes, the moment I saw her I realized that I wanted her, so I took her maidenhood in the night! Ha, ha, ha, ha, *cough* haha”
Alright.
He’s dead.
But why did he outright tell me? Was he proud of himself? (I just noticed this, but I may have written the same elf king as the overlord one. Oops.)
I then took a battle stance and pulled Emner out of his sheaf. His blade glittering in the light. the whole pit fell silent. The elves in the stands looked at me and pulled his blade out of the metal ring connected to his belt.
He looked at me with scorn filled eyes.
“I did not want to admit it, but the sword is real. No matter, I shall slay you and take the sword for myself,” he yelled, “give it to me!”
At the sound of a gun the duel started.

First he edged towards me. Pointing the blade out at me flat side facing me. I responded with changing the shape of Emner to a barbed stiletto. Filling my body with magic and reinforcing it with the pact of multiple spirits who served the blade of Emner in the past my strength was that of a demigod. (Lies, in overlord terms right now she is about as strong as a level 52 paladin.)
I had discovered an ability that Emner had.
If I stabbed the foe I was facing and simultaneously changed his shape I could send microscopic needles though his entire body. If he moved, they could break and explode on a microscopic scale. That would cause his cells to liquefy.
Killing him.
I did just that. I jumped forward stabbing out. The king blocked it but flowed with the catching of his blade with a sickle I had tucked away. I had bought it on my way here and used it in battle. This caught him off guard and I pricked his cheek at the last second. It had broken the skin and I had him in my trap.
The beating of his heart started to shatter the structure of wires I guess you could call them. He stopped in his tracks. Grasping at his chest he toppled over and began to go into shock.
“I just poisoned you with a special technique I call, glancing blow,” I spoke softly, “you are going to die a very painful death. Until your very last moments you are going to feel agonizing pain. So much so that not even painkillers work. Healing magic could fix it, but it could take a while. If you last more than 20 seconds, I’ll heal you so we can fight. Deal?”
He couldn’t respond.
He was already at death door. He tried to speak but couldn’t. the pain was to much for him to even close his eyes.
The eyes which locked onto me burst into goop. Next his arm fell off. Then his bladder and the tissue around it melted, filling the air with a pungent reek. Next, his head rolled back, but not because he was dead, but because the muscles simply melted. Blood soon leaked onto the ground, and he passed.
I stood up and walked to the door. I then kicked it down and strode to the direction of the manor.
