We had just split up and now we were going to the location of the enemy battalion. To bad for them I was in a bloodlust. I had an itching feeling to take some lives. The longer this went on the more I wanted to kill.

That’s when I saw them. Marching on the dirt path toward the manor. It looked like they wanted to take out the heroes before anything happened. It looked like they were carrying flame throwers. They had handles on the side and looked to be carried from the hip. There were copper jugs on their backs. A hose connecting the jug and weapon completed the look.

We were hiding on the side if the road. Ariel was talking to me, but I couldn’t hear her. The glee and drive to take their lives was overpowering. The spirits began to sing once more. They had stopped earlier as I had stamp down my bloodlust.

          But now…

I was hungry for their blood. I wanted to run. To bolt, and to snuff their feeble lives from this world. Oh, the screams they would shout out.

“mother’s bloodlust is taking over,” stated Gary.

          “Oh god!” whimpered Gorn.

“What do you mean? She seems normal to me. I mean she doesn’t seem like she’s listening. But that doesn’t mean she will just run into the middle of combat,” said Ariel looking back at the others just in time for them to point to me running into the middle of crowd.

The first to notice my approach was a flame trooper. He then was the first to lose his life as I, myself began to sing.

“Come on and dance with me!”

“Come on to the butcher’s knife little pigs!”

          “Squeal, squeal, squeal, little hogs!”

“Come on and dance with me!”

I repeated the words as I killed them all. The ones I killed stood back up, their bodies now infested with incense spirits. The soldiers scrabbled for their swords, but it was a losing battle. All the while I sang.

After her shock had subsided my sister ran up to me. A fell to the back line as my new soldiers took up the fight, Gary leading them.

          “What was that?” she asked.

“What do you mean? I know I’m not the best singer but I thought it was at least a little decent,” I said sheepishly.

“No! I mean the bloodlust. What was that?”

“Oh that, that’s just me being me. In this lifetime I have a bloodlust whenever I smell blood. Apparently, it’s a side effect of being blessed by spirit in this life. Said spirit is a Viking earth spirit. That means I have a craving for blood and the like,” I explained all the while holding back the urge to kill something. That something being a vulture that had flown onto the scene.

          “oh”

After that I ran back to the location of the enemy. Their new line falling like a domino. At the end of the conflict, we had 150 new men. That was about 45% of the original battalion.
