Chapter 50: A Rescue Mission

The next day,

Darell opened his eyes groggily and yawned lazily as he turned around in the tent.

He looked at Lilith who was sleeping with her back turned to him. Then, he turned his head in the opposite direction and found Emma in the same position as Lilith.

But, her silver hair was scattered behind her and her smooth pale neck instantly attracted Darell.

His eyes glowed with a mischievous glint as he came closer to her.

He licked his lips wickedly as he inched his face closer to her neck and breathed in her scent. He loved it as she smelled like lavender and strawberries.

He bit her neck as he greedily sucked it.

"Ahnn~~"

Emma moaned in pleasure as she woke up and found Darell committing an obscene act on her.

Yet, she didn't stop him but she playfully closed her eyes and quietly brought her hand behind her and grabbed Darell's weak point.

Darell instantly froze on the spot as Emma tightened her grip on it and played with it.

He breathed heavily and pleaded, "Stop! Emma, stop! I was just trying to tease you. Please, stop!"

Yet, his pleading fell on deaf ears as Emma turned around and increased the pace of her hand.

She smirked as she enjoyed Darell's expression and said, "Previously, you took advantage of me. Now, I am taking advantage of you."

She brought her lips close to his ears and whispered seductively, "Does it feel good~~?"

Darell shivered but he gritted his teeth and grabbed Emma's hand, "Stop! You know I won't be able to control myself if you keep doing it. Lilith is sleeping right beside us. So, stop!"

Emma glanced at Lilith and finally retracted her hand as Darell breathed weakly. 

He looked at her cherry-red lips in a trance and tried to kiss her. 

But, Emma covered their faces with her hands and reprimanded him," Did you forget what you ate last night?" 

Darell froze for a second as he remembered that he ate the greasy yet delicious Stone Tiger meat and then he quickly got up as he adjusted the difficulty in his pants caused by Emma. He grabbed an artifact and ran out of the tent to clean his mouth thoroughly. 

Emma watched him leave the tent and turned to Lilith as she said, "You can stop pretending now, Lilith." 

Lilith flinched and didn't reply for a few moments but still, she nervously turned around to face Emma. 

Emma saw her blushing face and realized that she must have been embarrassed as she heard everything. 

Emma embarrassingly apologized," I-I am sorry, Lilith. I-I got carried away and failed to notice you sleeping right beside us." 

Lilith quickly denied it, "N-No! You don't have to apologize. Both of you are in a relationship so, you can do these types of things to each other." 

Emma sighed in relief and said, "Lilith, we have spent a couple of months in the academy. Have you found a boy you like?" 

Lilith blushed and said, "N-No, I have not. It's not that I don't want to be in a relationship, it's just that I want someone to look at me the same way my brother looks at you. I want someone to treat me in the same manner as he treats you and I want someone to tolerate my mischievous nature as Eric tolerates Ariel."

Emma smiled and said," You will find someone, Lilith. I believe in you. "

Lilith smiled and asked," S-So, how many children are you going to have with big brother?"

Emma's smile froze as her face blushed heavily," W-What are you saying? W-We n—"

She looked at Lilith who was laughing sweetly and realization dawned on her as she shouted, "Y-YOU BULLIED ME!"

Outside the tent, Darell put the artifact in his mouth to clean it when he heard Emma shouting and Lilith laughing.

He smiled thinking that they were just playing around. 

After a few hours, the group was ready for yet another day of killing monsters. 

They entered room 29 where they met with more than a dozen Corans. 

However, before fighting them, they observed their surroundings. 

The rectangular room had two doors on the east side of the room and one door on the west and south side of the room.

A narrow shaft fell into the room from above and a pile of trash was scattered in the southeast corner of the room.

After confirming that there were no traps in the room, they began decimating the monsters. 

In a span of a few minutes, the monsters lay on the floor with their bodies cut open. 

After the group collected everything, they hurriedly searched for a hidden chest if there was one in the room. 

Darell walked with his hands running along the wall. 

He suddenly stopped as he heard muffled sounds coming from behind the wall. 

He quickly pressed his ear to confirm if he heard wrong but when he heard the muffled sounds again he immediately shouted, "I found something!" 

When everyone arrived, he told everyone to hear the muffled sounds which resulted in everybody confirming that there was something or someone behind it. 

Eric and Darell cast multiple skills as they punched through the wall and the group saw a large pit in front of them. 

They were hesitating to check the pit when suddenly they heard female voices shouting hysterically, "VYLAAAN!" 

Meanwhile inside the pit, 

Alfith and Alfen saw Vylan fall into the pit as they shouted hysterically, "VYLAAAN!" 

Both of them looked at each other as tears streamed down their cheeks and their cute button noses reddened and they let go of their weapons. 

They were only eighteen years of age which reflected their impulsive and decisive decision to let go of their weapons. 

Both of them only had a single thought in their minds, 'If they couldn't live WITH Vylan, then they wouldn't live with anyone else.' 

They closed their eyes and waited for their impending death. 

But, what greeted them was a soft feeling on their backs. 

Alfith and Alfen opened their eyes and looked at the bright Raven flapping its wings. 

They heard someone say, "Grab your weapons quickly!" 

They stubbornly replied, "B-But V-Vylan..." 

But, the voice cut them off by saying, "He is already saved." 

At that moment, another raven carrying an unconscious blonde-haired teenager on its back flew from the pit. 

The raven carrying the twins followed the other raven out of the pit and landed. 

Alfith and Alfen safely landed on the ground and sighed in relief. 

Due to the sudden change of events, the paralyzing mist, and heavy mental turmoil, their bodies felt heavy and their vision turned blurry.

But both of them saw five people standing in front of them but one of them stood out. 

"E-Emma?!" 

They could only say her name before they fell unconscious.
