Chapter 42. The Twins of Chaos.

The four of us looked at each other’s eyes for a literal few seconds, both Helesta and I were completely speechless over what just happened as the red-haired girl along with her other twin looked at us with a more confused gaze.

 

“What did you call me just now?” I questioned before their heads tilted even more to the side.

 

“Mommy!” the blue-haired one answered with a joyous look, “You are our mommy!”

 

Helesta looked at me with a straight face as she teasingly asked, “Are you sure you weren’t a mother back in your previous world?”

 

“Do I even look like I am at an age where I would have a child?” I pinched both of her cheeks before looking at the two with a serious gaze, “How am I your mommy when I don’t even remember having a child?”

 

“That’s because Mommy’s mana gave birth to us! We are Mommy’s creations, weapons, and shields!” the red-haired girl enthusiastically answered as the blue-haired one nodded in rapid motion.

 

I’ve read too many stories to understand what that meant, these two must be those artifacts from Helesta’s ancestor but in their truest form… possibly?

 

“Artifactual Spirits, it wouldn’t be weird for artifacts like the two of you to have spirits but I’m more surprised at the fact that the two of you are more human-like and contain a tremendous amount of mana that no artifact discovered could contain,” Helesta frowned her eyebrows.

 

“You mean there are artifacts like these two?” I asked before she nodded.

 

“There are around ten artifacts that I know to contain a spirit, but all of those artifacts only have spirits that really look like spirits or ghosts and none of them could talk like these two. The only way for the holder to understand them is to be with them for a long time and understand them instinctively,” she answered.

 

I see… well, considering that these two somewhat require an element that is basically a legend. I think it wouldn’t be weird for the two of them to contain such a powerful soul, but my question is… if these two exists then there must be other ones like them.

 

“There is nothing else other than us, Mommy!” the blue-haired girl answered which surprised me, “The two of us are the most unique! Nothing can replicate or create a similar one like us at all! We are born from a meteor from the skies, absorbing all the mana of this world to become an artifact!”

 

“You two aren’t made by a human or another creature?!” Helesta’s eyes widened as the two of them nodded, “That’s the first time I am hearing this… artifacts are usually human creations. I thought some genius made these two but now that I think about it… a creature of this world can’t create something that requires chaos element.”

 

All of this talk just made me even more curious… I feel like peeking into their statistics to see how strong they are and etc… and as if reading my mind, the red-haired girl looked at me with a smile as she said, “Mommy wants to look at our stats!”

 

“Show! Show!” the blue-haired one immediately jumped around before two windows suddenly appeared in front of me. One of the windows had a blue background and the other had a red window, both are mashed into one window though.
