Chapter 1: Day 1, Year 1: Birth of a New Vampire

"C'mon Alvor, can't I just travel the realms after?" said what appeared to be a male figure in his twenties with an average face, dark brown long curly hair down to his shoulder blades with black mixed in, and his eyes shared the same dark brown.

"Yes Elix." Alvor was a man that looked to be in his twenties, with green eyes, black hair, and a handsome face. In response to Alvor's response, Elix gave a pose with his arms that signifyed he was excited. Alvor merely gave a chuckle and shook his head at his apprentices antics, and closed the book he was reading while sitting next to a fire place.

Just as this converstation was taking place, a bell rang.

"Well, it's time." Alvor said with a smile toward Elix.

In a building that appeared to be a church, many people were present. Elix slowly approached Alvor who stood atop the three stairs at the end of the path leading to the podium with a smile plastered on his face.

When Elix was finally there, Alvor handed him a cup of blood, and Elix drank it excitedly. After he had finished his drink, Alvor said a spell, and then Elix dropped to the floor, dead. His body was moved to a coffin, and the process began. The process to become a vampire was not simple, it required a willing vampire to give their blood and say the transformation spell, which was only known to vampires.

The process, in Elix's case lasted a few weeks, as his body was transformed into what would now be his true appearance. A vampire's appearance will differ from vampire to vampire, and nobody truly know why they change appearance to such an extent, however vampires posses a limited shapeshifting ability which is used to revert to their human appearance with some changes being unchangable.

The changes that can't be changed are the fangs and eye color of the vampire. Back to Elix, the longer the indinvidual is in the coffin, the stronger the vampire abilites at the start. Elix was inside the coffin for a few weeks, which was just slightly above average.

The sliding of stone on stone could be heard as the coffin was removed, and Elix got out of the coffin. Elix was now standing in the crypt below the church-like building, which is where people in transition to become vampires go. Elix was disoriented, the sounds, smells, the smallest of details he could see, it was overwhelming. However, Elix had been prepared for this, and focused to to get it under control, though complete control will take time, especially with blood.

Artificial blood was used on the planet of Alistor, and it was common knowledge on how it was made. However, like all societies things weren't perfect, not to say the artificial blood was bad, no, in fact it tasted the exact same as human blood but there were those that liked the hunt, and the kill. These individuals were imprisoned and in some cases executed.

Back to Elix, he had regained his senses and took a second to feel his fangs and then walked out of the crypt where a man was waiting. The man then began talking with someone telepathically and Elix waited there, and soon Alvor arrived.

"Well, your new form is quite interesting."

Elix did notice that as he walked, he felt something was dragging behind him, like an arm, actually multiple arms. Elix moved one like it was the most natural thing in the world and brought it to his face.

"Hell yeah! I have tentacles!" said Elix rather happy and excited.

"Hahaha, there's some other things too, but I suppose that's the most interesting. Let's go home we can talk more there."

The two were back at the castle, and were across from each other sitting in arm chairs in front of a fire, with glasses of blood.

"I have to say I'm liking it, but it's gonna take some getting use to as well."

"I know what you mean, looking different that before is definitely something to get used to, not to mention the entirely different change in species and the powers."

"Speaking of which, why don't you use your true form more, master?"

"It's a habit from the old world."

"Alvor, what was the old world like?"

The old world the two are reffering two is where the vampires and humans came from, and it is literally another world. A few humans and vampires who lived in the old world, wanted peace between the species but due to other races and other members of the same races, it made it difficult to settle. So, the vampires and humans created a magical portal to another world, uninhabited by other similarlly intelligent beings. This portal was created over two thousand years ago, and Alvor, was one of the one's who helped create it.

"The old world? Well, it's not unlike this one just with some changes, though it's been two thousand years so things are bound to have changed."

"I would like to go there someday." Elix said while sipping some of the blood.

"Elix." Said Alvor in a serious tone, while looking at Elix with the same serious face.

"Yes, master?" Elix also switched to serious.

"Do not under any circumstance go to the old world, unless you're ready."

"Yes, master." Elix agreed, afterall he wasn't stupid and his master had taught him some of the dangers in the old world.

"Good, now why don't you go to the training ground to get a feel for yourself."

"Alright." Elix got up and left the room in excitement after all he was going to do so anyway.
