The View from Above

First day of high school, as he enters the gate, the previously bustling crowd all goes silent. Everyone stares at him, not daring to make a sound. Blond hair, piercing eyes and a height well above the rest, Sato Arata was the definition of a delinquent.

But… he wasn’t one.

Rather, he was someone who could even pass off to be an honour student. Not that anyone knew or cared though.

As he entered the class and sat down, he noticed something unusual. The attention wasn’t gathered at him for once, rather it was at a girl in the class.

Long black hair, bright big eyes but a small nose with a figure which curves visible over her uniform, was Sakura Ai.

Two people, completely opposite of one another, who will never even interact.

Until, they accidentally stumble upon each other on the roof, a place where no one comes, to eat lunch. Thus, neither willing to let go of that place, both agree to use it without disturbing one another.

Yet slowly, but surely, they realise…

…that there’s more to the other than what meets the eye.
