'Well, I'm fucked.'
That was the first thing I thought when I was met with the test in front of me.
You see, these past few days after the incident, I had gotten no sleep at night, as, first off, Char, and now Gwen, who had returned from the dungeon, were studying me all the time during my transformation, trying to figure out the cause, in turn, giving me no rest.
And second, well, let's just say it was impossible for me to sleep in a body that was different from the one I was used to. Sleeping without my... well, it was just too weird, and I would often wake up in a cold sweat after only a few minutes of closing my eyes.
Yeah, it was that bad.
So, linking back, due to this lack of being able to sleep at night, I had been forced to sleep during classes, as it was the only time that I could actually sleep.
As for the sparring time in the morning with Vasilie, I had taken to wearing a sarashi to take care of my... chest, and I had started wearing a large cloak that hid most of my appearance with its hood up.
Of course, this had made her suspicious, but her personality didn't allow her to meddle in another person's affairs.
Anyways, back to the problem currently facing me, I looked at the test, then back up at my teacher, who was looking at me with a smirk on his face, obviously knowing that he was going to be able to fail me.
Furthermore, I could tell that he had probably been paid by one of those nobles to make my test extra hard, just to try and lower my standing, as I couldn't "hide" behind Vasilie in terms of my intellectual abilities.
I could only sigh, fully realizing the scheme that I had fallen knee deep into, but still, I wouldn't give up without trying at least a little bit.
And so, when I opened the test booklet, I expected to be met with stuff that I had no idea about, but instead, I was met with simple fraction addition and subtraction.
'What the fuck is this?'
But, a second later, I realized how dumb I had been, forgetting that I was now in a medieval society where the arts of science and mathematics hadn't advanced anywhere close to "modern day" mathematics and science.
I had also been the team leader of the ghost squad back then, so I had been the one doing all the planning, and without knowing at least the very basics of physics and math, I wouldn't have been able to lead my team as perfectly as I had done.
Of course, my knowledge was far from just the bare bones knowledge in these subjects, and I was almost as fast as a computer in calculating any weapon's trajectory, no matter if they were a sword, bullet, or missile, as this was a skill that was essential to keeping everybody alive back then during the third phase of the experiment, when we hadn't received our powers yet.
Anyways, summing it all up, this was light work for me, and so, after quickly breezing through the entire test, I finished first, surprising the evildoers behind the scenes, but then they started smiling again, as they thought that I had just given up, but when they saw the teacher's shocked expression as he flipped through my test booklet, they knew that something had gone very wrong.
Well, I really didn't care anymore, so, after glancing at Vasilie, who was now sitting next to me after it was revealed that we were partners, I laid my head down and got to sleeping again, as there was still one hour left in the test period.
Needless to say, I immediately blacked out.
...
I woke up exactly one minute before the class period ended, jolting up just as Vasilie's hand was reaching out to wake me up.
Seeing that I didn't need her help, Vasilie retracted her hand and stared into blank space, making it look like she was pondering something, but it was really just her using a skill that all nobles learned, a way to act "noble" whilst being bored out of their minds.
I had learned it too, but now that I wasn't a noble, there was really no reason for me to use it anymore, sleeping was obviously a much better choice.
Walking out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang, I headed to my usual haunt for lunch break, the library.
Entering the library of the school that was bigger than most schools back on Earth, with a capacity of about 10,000 people, I headed to a dark corner where a derelict desk stood, before getting on top of it, laying down, and closing my eyes.
After more than a week of doing this, I had learned that the best methods of sleeping in the library were to either sleep on a desk like I was doing right now, or to find a corner in between two bookshelves and smush myself into it, letting my head hang forward to sleep.
Today, I felt like sleeping on the table, so I did.
Yet, after only a few seconds, wherein sleep had barely come, I was rudely awakened as something, no, someone, blew up the desk under me.
"Boom!"
Well, it wasn't that loud, as it was a controlled explosion, and there was no debris from it due to the magic involved in the making of the grenade that had exploded, but still, waking up to find myself splayed over the body of another person, one who's hair was currently smoking and who's face was dirtied black, was, needless to say, very uncomfortable.

"Ahhhhhh!"
Hearing the muffled cries of the little lady under me, I could only sigh, before quickly getting up and dusting myself off.
"You devil!"
'Huh?!!!!'
Hearing this, I immediately turned around and took a second look at the little lady that was still sprawled on the ground.
"How'd you suddenly appear above me?!!!"
Letting out a little exhale of relief, as she had only called me a devil because of that fact, and not because of the true fact, I explained,
"I was sleeping on the table, what else?"
"And you didn't see me tinkering with my bom-ahem... invention under the table?"
"You're short." I stated, as if that explained everything.
"Hmph!" She pouted, turning red enough that I could almost see the red under her skin, as it seemed like steam was coming out of her ears.
But, that was all, as she was obviously hearing statements such as this one every day, so much so that she was used to it by now.
"Also, the reason why your... invention didn't work was because you're using the wrong ratio of...."
Quickly explaining it to her so that she could get it, I noticed that she was actually listening closely to what I was saying, even pulling out a little notepad that was somehow still clean even though her fingers were soot-filled, and writing notes about what I was saying on it.
"...And that should work."
Saying this, I turned and started walking.
"W-wait, Master!"
Hearing this, I immediately addressed her worries.
"I'm just going into the corner to sleep. If you need any more help, don't hesitate to wake me up and ask."
I said this without even looking back at her.
"And don't you dare call me "Master", I'm just a student, the same as you..."
'Who also happens to be an expert in weapons production in his past life.'
I mean, I had to make up for my lack of physical power in other ways, or I would have been betrayed by the handlers even earlier...
"Then what may I call you?" She asked, pulling me out of my brief flashback.
"Just call me Lysander." I said, adjusting my position as I snuggled into the corner in between a set of old bookshelves.
"Then, it's nice to meet you Lysander! My name's Reese, and I'm Rank 15 this year!"
By this point, I was already falling asleep, but when I heard her name and her rank, I couldn't help but be shocked fully awake for just another second.
'Fuck! It's the pyro!'
