After class ended, I immediately went and looked for Vasilie, finding her at the entrance to the school.
"Where are we going?" She asked, almost as soon as I arrived, extremely curious about what was happening.
"Just follow me, it'll be a surprise."
Not thinking about it, I just grabbed her hand, before pulling her along from in front.
...
"W-where are we?"
Hearing the apparent fear in her voice, I squeezed her hand to reassure her that everything was fine.
'Ah, I forgot that this place looks like a perfect ambush location...'
Well, it was an ambush location, and I could already feel the killing intent from the hundreds of bandits lining the ridge above us.
You see, we were in a canyon, on the main road out of the city, and well, anybody with a brain could predict why this place was considered the most dangerous part in a traveler's journey.
After all, the King had sent some subordinates to clear the area out a few times, but bandits were like rats. Even if you killed the majority of them, they would regain their numbers in just a years time.
So after a while, everybody had just given up, and the bandits became a part of everyday life.
It was too bad that I was about to use them differently.
"Just sit back and watch the show. You'll be the one performing in the next one."
She looked at me weirdly, trying to decipher my words, but in the end, she gave up, and after I motioned down with my hand, she reluctantly sat down.
"COME ON OUT!"
Shouting, I provoked the bandits atop the ridge-line, purposefully looking directly at who I thought were the leaders.
"My my my, what do we have here?"
Honestly, I really couldn't care less about having a dialogue with these people, so, as soon as I heard that voice, the next second, the owner's head was cut off.
Then, I really didn't know what happened, well, I could predict what happened, but not the exact happenings... anyways, the end result was the all 500 or so bandits rushed at me from all directions, completely ignoring Vasilie, who was now flying in the air with the help of some unknown artifact, as she watched from above, worry apparent on her face, her body primed to help me out at any moment.
But, she would never get the chance to act.
With only my miaodao, I held the sheathe in one hand, and the hilt with the other.
Holding the entire sheathed sword with both my hands in front of me, I closed my eyes and let my sixth sense take over.
Then, the first bandit came into my "domain".
And within the first second of stepping into it, the light disappeared from their eyes.
But, that started a chain reaction, as hundreds of bandits swarmed me, attacking from all directions.
Yet, in my domain, I was invincible, as not even a droplet of blood could fall within a 3 meter radius around me.
Throughout my slaughter, it didn't even seem like I had moved a single centimeter!
So then, feeling that it was getting a little boring, I threw myself into the horde, carving a path through it.
I was in the zone.
A fight where one went up against many.
This was my home, the one place where I spent the vast majority of my life.
Finally dispersing my domain, I just let my most animalistic instincts take over, as I tore through the battlefield.

Feeling the warmth of the liquid life splashing all over my body, I couldn't help but smile.
It was... nostalgic. This was a feeling I sorely missed, something that reminded me of what once was my only true purpose in life, to take that of others.
You see, even though I was now Lysander, at this one specific moment in the history of this world, I had turned into something else.
I was back to being "Angel", and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was something that I... should definitely do more often.
After all, what was the purpose of life, if not to kill?
My grin grew even wider.
...
<Vasilie's POV>
'...'
My mind was utterly blank.
I... I had to do that?
How was that even possible?
I could tell from just looking at it that he wasn't using any mana whatsoever.
He was using only raw physical strength to fight, no, there was also the fact that he was using a monstrous technique involved.
Looking at this, and seeing his bright smile, I knew he wasn't even trying.
But how?
How had his technique progressed to the point where even I couldn't comprehend it?
And he was taking it easy!
This was probably only 10% of his true technical ability, or it could be even less...
Yet, even with all of this, I still didn't give up, and so I stared intently at him, trying my best to decipher the reasons for his movements.
After all, they almost always seemed unnecessary at first, but wait a few seconds later, and they would show their full force.
Just, again, how was this possible?
He was always in the perfect position to receive every attack, in the perfect stance to counter attack, in the perfect mindset to take a life with every move he made.
Yes, his mind was only filled with finding the quickest road to death, for others.
Anybody would have been able to sense that from the massive killing intent that he was exuding.
Finally, after only two minute, although it seemed like a lifetime, all the bandits laid bleeding on the ground, all dead from one-shot wounds.
That efficiency could only be described with one word... terrifying.
And yet, as Lysander stood there on the mountain of corpses, his posture more relaxed than I had ever seen it, his breathing slow and steady, but with slight hiccups in it as he hungered for more bloodshed, his eyes roamed about, looking for more prey.
This was my first glimpse of this side of Lysander.
Taking another look at his crazed expression, I trembled.
W-was this... what a true demon looked like?
