<Lysander's POV>

Although everything about my state seemed to be fine on the outside, my blood was boiling on the inside.

Was this what it felt like... to be high? (A/N: Don't know if people from non-western countries will understand this. Do you guys even have drugs?)

Rotating my body a full 360 degrees, I surveyed the artful field that I had created, a graveyard for the souls of the lost.

I mean, that pretty much did sum up what bandits were, sheep that had strayed from the flock, "lost lambs".

Finally, after fully admiring my work, I looked up into the sky, where Vasilie lay.

"It's your turn now~"

Whipping her head as soon as she heard my voice, I could clearly see the look of terror displayed on her face.

'Huh? Am I that scary?'

Seeing that I was clearly confused, Vasilie stuttered out,

"Y-your s-s-smile... it's horrifying..."

Taking a mirror out of an inner pocket hidden in my suit, I flipped it open and looked at my appearance.

'Huh? What's with this smile?'

This smile, it definitely wasn't mine.

'Ah, it's the devil inside of me.'

It kept smiling, as it reveled in the bloodshed.

Punching myself, I tried to wipe the expression away, but I couldn't.

Honestly, I was starting to get worried.

'Yeah... I probably shouldn't do anything like this anytime in the future...' (A/N: This is in direct response to something he thought about in the last chapter.)

The rate that I was turning into a demon was obviously speeding up, and my actions just now had a clearly visible impact on this rate of transformation.

It would be really bad if I turned into a demon before I put everything in place.

So now, I was left with no choice.

After all, there was only one person who could, not solve, but at least slow down my transformation.

Or well, I believed she could, if she had kept her promise over all these years of course.

It was about time I went and saw my sister again.

I thought about the future for a second, before suddenly remembering something.

'Oh yeah, she was here too.'

Looking up at Vasilie, I motioned for her to come down from her position.

"Now, it's your turn."

Then, I went and started running to the next ambush spot.

After all, although I needed to fix my problem, Vasilie was currently my priority. I would get my chance in the future.

And so began our final lesson.

...

Four Weeks Later:

The relationship between Vasilie and me... was now strained.

We had both come home that night covered in blood, but, unlike me, who was used to this, I could tell that Vasilie had done something like crying in the shower or in her closet after we parted ways.

It was kind of obvious if one looked at her appearance the next day, in which her demeanor was something even her family's maids couldn't cover up.

Yet, that wasn't the thing that had changed about her, it was the fact that she had almost become completely mute.

Sure, it was her first time killing, but wasn't this too big of a reaction?

I mean, I had been a kid when I had killed my first person, but then again, when we were kids, we had extremely elastic brains, so it probably just grew into being a part of me.

But, as Vasilie was already in her mid to late teens, her brain had already become static, and so it was almost impossible for her to incorporate anything new into her brain.

So, the only remedy for her situation was to kill enough people so that she could become completely numb to it.

Yes, I wasn't going to sugarcoat it, this was the only pathway to remedying the situation.

And if she couldn't do it, then it would only be her fault if she lost or even died sometime in the future.

I wouldn't babysit her, she needed to learn the art of killing, it was one of the only two ways for one to survive in this harsh world.

It was to either be powerful enough to make an impact on this world, or to be high enough in society to be able to hire those powerful enough to make an impact on this world.

These were the only two ways.

So, an unsociable person like Vasilie could only take one option, the first option.

That was why I was pushing her so hard.

And it was also why our relationship had gone past a point it could never return from.

...

Two Weeks Later:

It had now been six weeks since I had first introduced Vasilie to the "real" world.

And, by now, she had used up most of the favors that she had put on the contract, just for random things like going to a café with her, or helping her out with a menial task.

Honestly, I couldn't understand her.

(A/N: She just needs mental assistance, you goddamn blind MC.)

But, seeing how the light in her eyes was dying, I knew.

She was a dud, something I needed to throw away.

At first, I had thought about bringing her into my family, but if it was like this...

Yeah, she was just not suitable.

And I finally remembered something important.

She was the tritagonist, there was no need for her to learn this stuff. She would survive no matter what, due to her aura.

Honestly, I was now wondering why in the world I had tried to have her inherit my ideals in the first place, she never needed them anyway.

After all, she had that cheat like characteristic of hers.

But, take that away, and she would probably be one of the weakest in the world.

That was just the problem with her upbringing, and how she was just used to doing the "righteous" thing all the time.

And this was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I didn't need any "righteous" people in my family, they were all major hypocrites anyway.

So, a few days ago, we had both agreed to dissolve our contract, as it wasn't needed anymore.

We both felt it, the other just wasn't suitable for us.

Now, it was time for me to move on.

She was already in enough debt to me, and this was enough for her to not kill me during the predicted "final battle", when all the pieces would fall into place.

That was all I needed.

So, it was now time to focus my attention elsewhere.

Looking at the letter in my hand with interest, I carefully cut through the wax and held up the letter to the light.

On the letter was fancy lettering that flowed across the page, but, this penmanship was almost sharp enough to cut you.

It was definitely the distinctive handwriting of my "father", and, for the first time ever, something that exceeded all my expectations had appeared.

My father was getting married for the second time, and I was invited to the wedding.

This was definitely something that had never happened in the novel.

'It looks like, from this point on, the future will be unpredictable.'

The beat of a paper wing had finally turned into a hurricane.
