A/N: So, I did promise that I'd rewrite the first few chapters because of the glaring plotholes in them, and so I will do it, but only after this week, because I need to focus on my midterms right now.

---

Hearing the cavern-shaking roar, I immediately whipped my head in the direction that the sound came from, only to see that Eve was already playfully walking in that direction.

As for Karina, she had pulled her sword out, and was looking warily into the darkness, flitting her eyes at the darkness in front of us, trying to gaze through to see our enemy.

But, for me, I was just extremely concerned at the moment, having seen Eve disappear in that direction.

And then, hearing a slight yelp coming from the darkness, I couldn't be careful anymore and rushed through whilst swinging my torch wildly in front of me.

Yet, the sight that I saw shocked me.

It was Eve, holding onto a cute animal, as she rubbed it behind its ears, causing it to emit a low growl every once in a while that, although coming from an extremely small animal, shook the entire cavern.

The animal was super cute too, all white and fluffy...

(A/N: Did you really think that I would write such a cliche scenario, huh?)

But then, seeing us coming up to it with our guards up, the animal roared again, baring its extremely sharp teeth.

(A/N: Of course I would write a cliche scenario...)

Seeing this, I didn't fail to react, as I dove and knocked the animal out of Eve's hands, allowing its bite that had been directed at Eve to cut through me in the process, almost completely severing my hand off of my wrist.

Then, the animal, no, monster, turned around acrobatically and stretched out its foot, which had mysteriously elongated, and it roundhouse kicked me right in the jaw, causing me to black out immediately.

By the time I had woken up, the monster was dead and my sister was crying there, holding it, as its blood dripped down her arms.

It had only been my mistake that I had never noticed that some of the blood on her hands had been from some freshly made cuts on her knuckles, and that she wasn't holding it gingerly, but holding it in a way that completely turned it's head a complete 360 degrees around its neck...

Afterwards, I blacked out again, this time, due to the loss of blood, with the last thing I remembered being my sister's cry, as she finally noticed my state after her rage towards the rabbit had subsided.

Needless to say, her face of worry for me was the sweetest thing that I had ever seen, and so I could only allow my eyes to roll back into my head with a smile on my face.

...

//Oppa!// (A/N: I'm adding in the ending "//" again.)

//Hmm? Why are you yelling so loudly in my mind this early in the morning?// I thought, groggily.

"..."

//You're finally awake!//

Hearing this, I finally remembered what had happened the other day.

//I was... taken out by a bunny monster?//

//You should be ashamed of yourself, Oppa.//

//Then Karina must have killed it, sigh...//

"..."

//Anyways, what are you doing right now, Eve?//

//I'm talking with Dad. He's currently giving me one of his famous lectures.// I could almost hear her eyes rolling at this point.

//I'm probably gonna get a beating with words too, right?//

//Yup, he said that he'd be in your room as soon as you woke up to dish out some of that "emotional damage".//

//Welp, good thing I'm still pretending to be asleep then.//

//Oh, I already told him that you were awake...//

"..."

//TRAITOR!//

The rest of the day, I was stuck listening to the harsh voice of my "father", as he berated me over my responsibilities as the older brother.

I just thought it was unfair, but what could I do?

After all, the person that held the most blame for everything was Eve, and well, I couldn't sell her out now, could I?

"..."

I was spoiling her too much, wasn't I?

...

"Oppa Oppa Oppa~" Sung out a voice from behind me, as I sat there at my desk, reading a book, one of the last books on my list before I finished reading every single book in the family library.

"I can hear you just fine from this distance, Eve, so you don't need to shout my name so much." I said, coldly and indifferently, pretending to be paying extreme attention to whatever it was that I was reading, when, in fact, I was completely absorbed with interacting with my sister as of this moment forward.

"But it's fun calling you "Oppa"!"

"That doesn't mean that it's fun for me, we've grown up now." I bluntly stated, quickly after her statement.

"But I can call you whatever and whenever I want, right?" She asked, her face all shining and bright, as cute as ever.

"N-no..."

I really struggled to get that last part out...

I mean, she was currently being too cute for me to handle!

"..."

"Alright... what do you want?"

"Read me a book!"

"Hmm? But you've never liked books before..."

"Maybe I'll grow to like them if Oppa reads them to me." She said, before shoving a book straight in front of my face.

"Fine."

Hearing this, she giggled happily, before jumping into my lap, facing in the same direction I was facing, as I sneaked my arms past her sides, in a half hug from the back, and held up the book there.

Then, from over her shoulder, I started reading the story out loud.

But, I could tell that we weren't even paying attention, as she just melted further into my body, whilst I couldn't help but heat up as I felt feelings of affection and fondness wash over me.

The soft silk of her pajamas touching my bare skin here and there, the plump softness of her baby fat and muscles on my lap, and the tender heat coming from her body, it all radiated with me physically, allowing me to slip into a trance.

It was only thirty minutes later that I realized that she had fallen asleep, her love still radiating to me from her subconscious.

Seeing the tranquil, sleeping face of my Sister, I could only bring her to my room before laying her down on my bed.

Getting in myself, I stared happily at her sleeping face.

And with that, I too, fell asleep, as a comforting warmth descended on the entirety of the room.
