Volume 2, "The Academy's Deceased Ate it All", Prologue: Start
Eight Years Ago:
"Oppa!"
Turning my head around, I could only watch helplessly as Eve completely disregarded the back of the chair that I was sitting on and hugged me from over the top.
Of course, in the process, she hit her chin against the top of the chair like a klutz, but she didn't release her arms from around my neck, only murmuring,
"Owie owie owie..."
Sighing, I swiveled my body and got off the chair in a way that wouldn't hurt Eve any more, before returning the hug like the good brother that I was.
Happily diving into my chest, she snuggled in my arms and completely forgot about her previous pain.
Seeing how childish she was even though she was a woman that had been reincarnated, I could only smile, before thinking that the reason for her childishness was probably due to the fact that I spoiled her too much...
Anyways, she was happy, and that was all that mattered to me, as I painfully tore my attention away from the books that I had been studying.
"Do you want to play or go somewhere?" I asked, knowing exactly what she wanted.
"Oppa is the best! He knows exactly what I want at all times!" She declared, whilst looking up at me with a shining smile that almost blinded me.
But, I could only respond with a deadpan expression, as she was too predictable at this point.
"Smile!"
Shouting, she released her hands from the hug and suddenly brought them up to my face, before pinching my cheeks and using them to stretch my lips into a very unnatural looking smile.
I didn't even protest this, as anything I said wouldn't be understood anyways, and I truly was smiling on the inside.
How could I not be? My beloved sister was so happy after all.
Finally, I let my inner emotions show, as I finally genuinely smiled, and so she released my slightly chubby cheeks from her grasp.
"Where do you want to go?" I asked, coldly, trying to keep my character here, acting like a tsundere.
(A/N: Yo, I just realized, have you ever read a book where the MC was a tsundere, and not a love interest?)
"I want to go explore the caverns again!" She excitedly shouted, almost jumping from how much energy she had.
"Alright, alright, let me go ask Big Sis Karina to come with us."
"Un!"
As we were in agreement, I was able to part ways with her, only after she rubbed her head on my chest for a few more seconds, and so I quickly walked to where I knew Sister Karina was.
"Big Sis Karina, Eve wants to go out again today."
Knowing exactly what this meant, Karina could only put down her training sword, wipe off her sweat, and then she quickly started putting on her armor.
After all, she was a knight of House Endendyk, and so she needed to dress and act like one whenever she was in public.
As for me, I just watched her and waited, looking disinterested in the world, as I thought deeply about the problem that I had been trying to solve before I had been interrupted by my sister.
'So, I have to take the derivative of potential energy to find force, but then the force/time graph indicates that impulse would be easier to calculate using an integral...'
But, unfortunately for me, Karina was too proficient at the task of putting on her armor, and within a few seconds, she had already finished and was ready to escort us into the outside world.
Interrupting my thoughts, she said,
"Young Master, let's go. We can not keep the Young Miss waiting."
"Okay..." I replied, a little bit sad that I hadn't been able to solve the problem in my head.
'Just you wait! I'll thoroughly thrash you and make you show yourself naked before me!'
Showing a sinister smile in just my eyes, Karina was quick to notice this and asked,
"Young Master... Are you unusually tired today?"
"Hmm? No, it was nothing..." I said, hurriedly.
"But I never accused you of anything..."
"Just stop talking."

With my face burning a little red, I looked down and started shuffling my feet towards where I knew my sister would be waiting.
Behind me, Karina thought she was being sly and smiled mockingly at me, but, who would have known that I had eyes in the back of my head?
Yes, I could just "see" that well, and I knew that she was smiling due to the slight displacement of atoms in the air that she had caused when doing the deed.
"Stop smiling."
Hearing this, her smile immediately drooped, but she quickly regained it again and skipped to my side.
"How'd you know, Young Master?"
"Magic."
Replying like an arrogant bitch, I still wasn't able to faze Karina, and so, feeling awkward, I just continued to walk in silence.
Oh yeah, just a note, I actually didn't have eyes in the back of my head, I could just tell that she was smiling because I knew her habits too well.
After all, she was family.
...
'We're so fucking screwed...'
//Language!
//Sorry...
Once again, I was being a sheepish little bitch, all because I had cussed.
But, then again, who wouldn't cuss when they were stuck in a cave with a useless teenager and their twin sister who was still a little kid?
Well, we were both adults in terms of our soul, but she would never act like an adult unless I was being a "bad boy".
Anyways, about the situation, we had gone into the caverns to explore them like Eve had wanted, but now, we were lost, as they had both believed that I would be the one remember the way out.
I mean, sure, I was a genius, but I hadn't been thinking about that!
I had thought that Karina would be the one doing it because she was our escort...
...Fine, I was too infatuated with my sister. You can kiss my ass if you think that I'll say sorry.
"Young Master, are you sure that this is the right way?"
"No."
"Then why are we going this way?!!"
"Because there's nothing better to do?"
"..."
'Yeah, take that.'
"And it's not like it matters anyways if we're still missing for some time, after all, all the blame will fall on you."
I said this whilst not even batting an eye, and hearing this, Karina assumed a puppy dog expression on her face and leaned down and put her face right in front of me.
"You'll cover for your big sister, right?" She asked, trying to sound as cute as possible.
"Nope." I answered coldly, as this was her punishment for being so happy whilst making me embarrassed this morning.
'I'm sorry, but no matter how cute you try to make yourself, you'll never be as bright as my sister.'
Keeping this conviction in my heart, I started whistling whilst smiling, as I looked at Eve, who was still exploring with no worries in her mind, just to drive the nail deeper into Karina's heart.
But seriously, we were screwed, as night was falling, and we all hadn't eaten or drank anything since lunch.
And then, as if the situation couldn't get any worse, a roar resounded through the cave.
"ROOOOOOAAAAAAR!"
What'd I say about us being screwed?
