Luo Jianqing clutched his fists with his beautiful eyes bloodshot and the whole body stiffened.
After a long gaze, Luo Jianqing turned around and said, “Still too close to the mountain. We have to take another detour to keep distance from it.”
Mo Qiu didn’t say anything, totally at Luo Jianqing’s discretion. So, they took another detour so as to stay far from the mountain range. Their plan was to leave the Northern Land of Arctic by way of the Bottomless Cave.
As they reached the Bottomless Cave, Luo Jianqing had calmed down and recovered from the anxiety brought by the Ku Mountain. He had been to the Bottomless Cave with Xuan Lingzi before, so he was quite familiar with this place and led Mo Qiu to fly through it quickly.
This time, their purpose was not to cultivate or go for a walk, but to hurry on with their journey. Therefore, Luo Jianqing and Mo Qiu didn’t take a break all the way until thick smog surged one night and shrouded the whole cave. They could see nothing in the cave but a world of sand, so they decided to take a rest and back on the journey tomorrow.
Luo Jianqing snuggled down on a thick trunk, looking down at the glimmering luminous pearl on the ground.
In the remaining of Mo Qing, Luo Jianqing learned a lot of things he had never heard before. For example, what he cultivated was actually Nine-Petaled Lotus Heavenly Seizure Record, or Mo Qing had known that a mountain range would collapse and give him an Interspatial Ring, yet on the other hand, he hoped that Luo Jianqing would never use it.
All of these were like dense mist in which Luo Jianqing was enveloped and lost himself.
Luo Jianqing had never been more confused. What was Nine-Petaled Lotus Heavenly Seizure Record? Why did the Ku Mountain collapse? What was stored in that Interspatial Ring? And most importantly… how could he save his master?!
What if he failed to save Xuan Lingzi, what if the Ku Mountain collapsed again, then master…!
A soft and deep voice suddenly came, “Yeah, go ahead, press it harder and crush it. Then you gotta buy me a new pearl.”
Hearing that, Luo Jianqing was a little bit baffled. He pulled himself out of the anxiety quickly, only to find that he was pressing his hand on that luminous pearl and had left a conspicuous handprint on it.
He turned to Mo Qiu, who was also gazing at Luo Jianqing with his chin resting on his hand. Luo Jianqing could see his own figure in Mo Qiu’s pretty, amorous eyes. Mo Qiu seldom looked at him with such an expression, which made Luo Jianqing feel strange. Luo Jianqing looked away subconsciously, but Mo Qiu asked in a low voice, “Luo Jianqing, are you trying to hide something from me?”
This short question made Luo Jianqing stun.
It seemed that Mo Qiu didn’t expect to get any answer from him anyway, and he continued, “Take a guess, am I trying to hide anything from you?”
Luo Jianqing gradually calmed down and moved his hand away from the luminous pearl. He lowered his eyes and said, “Yes, you are.”
Mo Qiu got stiffened and asked, “Then what is it?”
Luo Jianqing replied in a calm voice, “You’ve never told me why you can improve your cultivation so fast.” Just as he finished, Luo Jianqing look askance at Mo Qiu and said coldly, “Save your ‘brilliant and gifted’ game. No matter how gifted you are, you cannot improve so fast.”
Mo Qiu, “… But it’s really because I am incredibly gifted!”
Luo Jianqing, “Then you just keep hiding it from it. I don’t care anyway.”
Mo Qiu, “…”

After a long silence, Mo Qiu asked again, “Don’t you really think I’m not hiding anything from you? Not that cultivation or improvement thing.”
Luo Jianqing thought for a while and asked, “You have some sordid ideas on me?” Luo Jianqing moved aside a little bit, glancing at Mo Qiu up and down.
Mo Qiu, “…”
Mo Qiu, “Luo! Jian! Qing! Just tell me, what do you have that can allure me to have sordid ideas on you, what it is?”
Seeing Mo Qiu getting angry, Luo Jianqing finally got rid of the stuck anxious feelings. He couldn’t help laughing out, “OK, just forget it. So, what’s wrong with you today? You’ve really hidden something from me but now want to tell me? It won’t be a problem for me. Everyone has their own secrets, and I believe that you will never do harm to me, so it’s OK you keep it from me.”
Mo Qiu fell into a hush, discreetly gazing at Luo Jianqing.
They just looked at each other for a while, and Luo Jianqing curled up his eyebrow, “What?”
Mo Qiu said, “You really don’t want to know?”
Luo Jianqing said, “If you want to tell me, I’ll listen, but if you don’t, it doesn’t matter either.”
Mo Qiu sneered, “Then I must tell you.”
The night had turned to a deep blackness with sand obscuring the sky, making everything seemed withered and yellow. At night, they could see nothing out of the Bottomless Cave, not a sky, not a peak, nothing. They were enveloped in the world of yellow sand. Anywhere in the dark interstices between the pearl lights was desolate and bleak.
Luo Jianqing said casually, “If you must tell me, I’ll listen… Mo Qiu!”
Luo Jianqing suddenly raised his voice and goggled at Mo Qiu.
A thin hand stretched out from the world of sand and instantly grabbed Mo Qiu’s neck! There was no space for resistance, not time for response. The hand seized Mo Qiu’s neck tightly, making him unable to struggle.
“Rustle, rustle”
They heard weak footsteps, just like someone walking on the sand.
Luo Jianqing had taken out his Floating Frost Sword and clutched it, staring vigilantly at the man walking out from the darkness. Mo Qiu, on the other hand, was still stiffened. He pursed his lips with eyes full of anger and shame. The blood red rays glimmered on his palm, yet just at the same time, a black power penetrated his hand, and blood gushed out from his palm.
Mo Qiu gave a grunt out of pain, with his penetrated hand trembling uncontrollably.
Before this man showed up, Luo Jianqing didn’t even perceive his approaching at all, yet when he finally appeared, Luo Jianqing felt he was nothing but a prey of this man. He dared not move, even if his intuition was telling him to run away right now. However, Mo Qiu was still on his hand. Luo Jianqing gritted his teeth and asked, “Sir, may I ask who are you?”
With a tiny glimmer of hope, Luo Jianqing finally asked this question.
However, he didn’t get any response from the other side.
Mo Qiu felt the freezing coldness on his neck. He narrowed his beautiful eyes and glimpsed at the hand that was grabbing him. Glancing though that thin wrist, Mo Qiu fixed his eyes on a dark red pattern on the back of that man’s hand.
He curled his red lips and wore a sneer. With calm eyes, Mo Qiu said with a wry tone, “It seems that we are troublesome enough. They even send the Ocean Master of the First Ocean in the Demon Realm to hunt us. Luo Jianqing, is it a fortune or misfortune for us?”
