Binh An did not hear that angry last sentence, he had left the Judgment Hall quite a distance away, still fixed his eyes forward, and kept on moving towards the busy grande street filled with blazing bright lights.
The great forces of demons spilled out into the desert, as well as flooded the red district, complied with the Underworld Emperor’s absolute order, flipping every corner, searching every house, disrupting many activities in the red ward, creating a lot of confusion and fear for the souls living here.
Right as things started to get messy, The Underworld Emperor had no intention of sparing Binh An, as well as Binh An who had no intention of leaving this red-tiled roof. He has been laying here for a while and started to feel comfortable in this position.
The demons had caught up; they were right inside the building below him, still actively rummaging and toppling even after doing so in many shops and buildings earlier.
With the smell of rotting and the slimy, unidentified objects they left behind, no one seemed pleased, yet, no one dared to approach. Only a few souls who owned the place, as they mourned for their destroyed belongings and furniture, made some attempts to stop them by using various methods, but the result was fruitless. They could only endure in silence and waited for the demons to leave before beginning the overall cleaning.
Binh An lay comfortably on the roof of the house, this time, there was no moon in existence for him to admire, all he could watch was the thunder rumbling in the crimson sky while listening to the chaos below. While doing so, he happened to overhear some conversation.
“Really…” Said an upsetting voice.
“What is this? How can those disgusting demons suddenly burst into the red ward so arbitrarily?” The other voice seemed to be in anger and frustration.
"I heard that it's the order from the Underworld Emperor, we can't argue with it, not to mention, it was the honed Underworld demon army earlier, it's not something to consider as a joke!"
"I thought that the Underworld Emperor only had an army of Yin Binh on duty in Yin Ti?"
“That's because you had just arrived not long ago, therefore you didn't know about this!
The Underworld Emperor is constructing his own army. Although Yin Binh is a powerful and tenacious force, they are simply the progeny of Yin Ti, only doing all the duty to keep Yin Ti well functioning. These demons, on the other hand, are the Yin Ti Emperor's stepchildren, one that is more flexible and obedient.
I heard that they were made of rotten souls, from the corpses of prisoners who were banished to the Depths of Hell.
Once their souls, under brutal torture, lost all their sanity and turned into rotting, decaying demons with no original form, they then abandoned to become one with Hell. As long as their desire to live existed, they must gain a foothold under there.
The demons then will have to start their own fight, usually, dominant demons will rip apart other weak demons, grafting the pieces onto themselves to get a bigger and stronger body. They then become the Yin Ti Emperor's henchman, hold a higher position as a warden, escape their fate of getting torture, now getting to torture newcomers, it is a never-ending circle."
“So creepy!”
“That's why, once the souls get banished down there, they will never be able to return to reincarnate as a whole. Don't believe in the debt of merit thing that the Council said, it's actually a bad debt with compound interest, thus, once you get down there, you can consider yourself becoming one of those!"

"It's so fortunate that back then I agreed to stay here forever to serve the Underworld Emperor, or else I would have been banished and would have inevitably become a demon."
“Well...You were indeed lucky to be able to land the negotiation. Now, as the Yin Ti Emperor seems to be lacking demons, if you were to stand trial at the moment, you could only be a demon, you can't negotiate to stay in Yin Ti as you did previously..."
It was discovered that Yin Ti was simply no longer a site for rebirth; along the line, a lot of things had degenerated; and such events were permitted to occur in the Underworld. He now realized, with his own eyes, that the person who called himself the Underworld Emperor definitely was not the rightful one portrayed in the books, but a power-hungry man who then turned into a bloodthirsty tyrant.
Binh An has never been more irritated; certainly, he was thinking about reconstructing his life at the time, but now that so many things have happened, the original purpose slipped his mind. Amid the chaos which he did cause for himself, he has no one to blame for, to complain about, or to at least give him some advice on what to do next.
Binh An seemed lost, as well as those demons, they didn't appear to be particularly bright either. Binh An had been resting here in neither long nor short amount of time, yet, none of the demons had ever thought of him lying on the roof of the house. They had, as expected, lost all logical senses and cognitive capacities.
Of course, the time to enjoy this place was indeed limited. Binh An was daydreaming and wandering his thoughts when a spear appeared out of nowhere, aimed at his skull, and pierced right through the roof. Binh An responded immediately and narrowly escaped. When he eventually composed himself, the owner of the spear had already stood before him.
The opponent put on a long, jet-black suit, and the sleeves of the comrade were cut loosely when they fell down to the length of the hem, the neck was cut with a diagonal flap to the right and had a longitudinal slit in the middle of the front body. The pattern is very meticulous but sparse and monotonous.
From top to toes, all the features of the body were completely covered. To make it even more discreet, they even put on a headdress with a dark veil that is covered to their neck, making it impossible to recognize their identity.
Such a solemn and formal overall, but Binh An only had his mind on the very familiar headdress, right then, he recognized the headdress which was indeed worn by one of the Officials at the trial.
According to the Law of Yin Ti, the Officials must not reveal their genuine appearance to anybody else, including the other Officials and even the Underworld Emperor himself; the only people who knew their true identity were themselves. The way that these Officials were chosen was through their record of previous lives and not by their appearance. Furthermore, the rationale for this was that the magistrates maintain memories of their previous lives. Since social relationships are fairly intricate and sensitive, such connections should not be bound to each other and impact one's performance.
"It appears that the Officials here are all idle individuals, they still have time to run around looking for this guilty guy."
Binh An stood on the red-tiled roof with his arms folded and his back straight, his hem of shirt flap fluttering in the wind.
"Do you think that I'm unaware of you hiding your fear using this arrogant demeanor of yours?" The Official was also not easily swayed.
"Be afraid? I have nothing to lose, thus, I have nothing to fear! Tell me, after you catch me, what will the Underworld Emperor do to me?" Binh An got curious.
"I will not hand you to the Underworld Emperor!" The Official firmly stated.
