Seeing that he had stopped, Ye Ya opened her arms and gave the young boy a warm tight hug.

The little girl had a tint of sweet milk smell, her arms soft and comfortable. His eyelashes flickered a bit, tears rolling down his cheeks and landing on the top of her head.

“Does it hurt?” Ye Ya looked at him with concern.

“I’ll blow on it for you and it’ll stop hurting,” Ye Ya tip-toed to reach his forehead and blew on the wound.

Ye Ziyu fell to the ground and cried even harder.

Ye Ya had no idea how to comfort people. She bit her finger tip in distress, spinning in circles impatiently. She didn’t know what to do, so she turned to the all-knowing system for help, [Mister, he’s crying.]

The system was emotionless: [stinky kid, just let him cry.]

But he didn’t stink…

Poking her little dimples, Ye Ya suddenly had an idea.

“Yaya will cure you,” Ye Ya shudderly ran to the desk and took out a pair of scissors for crafts from the pencil case.

Seeing this, Ye Ziyu stopped his tears for two seconds; he warned her while still sobbing, “Th… That is very dangerous, a child can’t play with it.”

“I’m not a child,” Ye Ya argued stubbornly. “I’m a hundred years old already!”

“Even if you’re a thousand, you still can’t play with scissors until you’re eighteen.” Ye Ziyu wanted to take the weapon away from her and tried to stand, but he immediately fell back to the ground. He covered his dizzy head and started shedding tears again.

Ye Ya pulled out her left pinkie, looked at the pair of scissors, then back at her pink, soft fingertip. After a long while of hesitation, she finally gathered the courage to poke her finger tip with the sharp tool.

A tiny blood droplet emerged from her finger tip.

Ye Ya stared at it for two seconds before she could feel the pain.

Her mouth twitched; the pair of scissors fell on the ground.

“Ouch——!”

She began to cry.

Even more than Ye Ziyu was.

“It hurts, ouch…” Ye Yan held her finger, crying helplessly.

Ye Ziyu no longer cares about his mania and hurting head. He wobbly got himself up and walked to her, lecturing in his still-babyish voice, “I already told you it’s dangerous, why didn’t you listen?”

She had tears all over her face, it made her seem like she was so terribly wronged.

Ye Ziyu covered his ears with his hands, screaming, “Stop crying! You’re hurting my ears!”

His screams were useless, if anything, it only made her cry louding. Ye Ziyu sighed. He took her hand and looked, “It doesn’t look that bad, I’ll go find Brother to bind it up for you later.”

“Bind… bind it up?” Ye Ya was still sobbing. She shook her head, “No… no need. I have to cu… cure little Ziyu.”

Ye Ya finally remembered the purpose of her action.

She grabbed onto Ye Ziyu’s arm and dripped a droplet of blood on his wounded forehead.

“What are you doing?”

Ye Ya didn’t answer, simply blinking at him.

The red droplet quickly binded with his flesh, and the wound disappeared at a humanly-observable speed. After just a few seconds, his forehead is as smooth as new, and his skin even more delicate than before.

A four-leaf clover’s blood had magical powers. When her soul transmigrated to this body, the body was also granted the gift. Though it wasn’t much, it was still very useful when needed.

The pain was gone, and even his brain felt brighter.

Ye Ziyu stroked his forehead with disbelief, his face lightened up with shock.

“Y… You…” He pointed at Ye Ya, stuttering for a long time yet couldn’t finish his sentence.

Ye Ya put her wounded finger tip in her mouth, “Don’t tell anyone else~”

Ye Ziyu was still in shock, and nodded without hesitation.

Outside, Ye Qinghe already found helpers to open the door. Ye Ziyu grabbed Ye Ya’s arm, hiding both of them in the secret room.

The light in the secret room is closed, so the room is filled with darkness.

The two tiny bodies were tightly curled up in the corner together.

“Are you a fairy?” Ye Ziyu asked her quietly.

Ye Ya shook her head. She touched the little seed on her head that had just begun to sprout, “I’m a four-leaf clover.”

Ye Ziyu pursed his lips and put his arms around his knees, his eyes darkened, “Why do adults always break their promises?”

Salt? (breaking promises sounds like eating salt in Chinese)

Ye Ya started to imagine adults madly eating salt. Her face started to twitch, “If you always eat salt it’ll be very salty, Yaya will not eat salt in the future.”

Ye Ziyu laughed, “That’s not what I mean.”

She’s confused.

“My mother told me she would spend time with me, but she left.” Ye Zi bit his lips, “Father said he’ll play with me, but he’s always in a meeting. How come adults always promise things they can’t keep?”

He didn’t understand.

He didn’t understand why mother had to leave, why father’s never home.

He didn’t understand why his head always hurt, and his temper aggressive.

He didn’t and couldn’t understand anything; he only knew that his sadness was real.

Ye Yan said, with complete seriousness, “It’s because they always talk big talks that they turn into adults.”

Ye Ziyu seemed bewildered, “Is that so?”

“Of course.” Her father never talks big, so he’s cute like she is. Mother liked to talk big, and that’s why she’s grown so big, like a giant.

Thinking of Mother, Ye Ya, in a baby voice, said, “That’s why we children have to forgive them. They are already really pitiful.”

Adults are so big and tall. They are so close to the sky. It must be tiring to carry the sky when they walk every day.

It’s pitiful just thinking about it~

Ye Ya seemed even more compassionate now just thinking about it.
