I searched through the whole room trying to find that book. I had written it in another language that this world isn’t fluent too. If anyone looks through that book I’m doomed.
I had searched under my bed, the wardrobe, the dressing table, practically everywhere there was a gap to hide it. However, no sign of it anywhere.
Did... someone take it? Shit, did Marianne think it was a notebook and took it to the library?!
I rushed out of my room but ended up bumping into a hard chest. My nose, it doesn’t hurt, but that was uncomfortable.
“My lady,” It was Elliot. I looked up at him, he was smiling. Awe, I’d have thought he was adorable if I wasn’t so busy panicking.
“Yes, Sir Calypso, did you need anything from me to come all the way to my room?” I asked him while walking away to make my way to the library.
Of course, he followed after me like a puppy. “You didn’t look well during dinner, so I grew worried, are you alright?”
Impossible, there is no way he can tell I was upset. Astelle’s poker face is completely emotionless. Even more so, when I’m taking over too.
Wait, why is it that I’m good at poker faces? I should reply to him.
“I’m perfectly fine, I’d rather you not fret over me, Sir Calypso, I am not a child, so please stop treating me as if I am one,” I said coldly without meaning to. The stress is making stricter by the second.
“Have I angered my lady?” I can practically hear the smirk on his face from that sentence. “Nonsense, what reason do I have to be angry?” Though I am getting angrier the more he talks.
“Why are you following me?” “Where else do I go?” I asked and he replied immediately, almost reading my mind. It seems as if this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.
Did Astelle have normal encounters with the male leads? Did she have moments where she could talk to them where their apparent hatred wasn’t so obvious?

“Ah, I should remind you my lady, please be careful when you go to the Thelonious Manor, I don’t like you going there since Alistair still is such a child,” he sighed.
I acted like that didn’t surprise me but, What?! WHERE AM I GOING? FOR WHAT REASON?!
Why didn’t I know about this impromptu meeting?! Why?! When?! Again why?!
“You’re treating me as if I am a child again, I could care less about any grudges Sir Thelonious has against me,” I responded to his earlier comment.
He didn’t reply but proceeded to follow me to the library. We walked in silence, I’m not sure if it was comfortable silence or awkward silence but I’m glad it was silent.
The more this guy talked the more the problems stacked. He always seems different... He was teasing me when he arrived, then when his parents appeared he seemed ignorant and now he’s worried. What does he want?
We reached the library at long last. He bows, “Well, it seems this is your destination, you still are just as studious as you were when we were younger," he smiled and walked away.
Ok, whatever, deal with that later, where is my notebook?! I walked quickly to my usual area and looked around. Under the desk, on the chairs and floor but still found nothing.
I remembered that the maids usually shelf my books after I’m done, so I immediately started looking through the shelves and thank goodness!
I found it, I’m never letting this book in a place like this, I don’t know what I was thinking. “Hm?” I stopped on a page since I was flipping through it. “What the...?” I said out loud.
There was a page ripped. For God’s sake....
Why does this keep happening to me?!
