What can I say… i can't believe i'm actually at Livia's tea party It had been quite some time after the ball and while she did say that she'd invite me to her
tea party, i didn't think she'd actually send me an invitation. Not that i mind of course. She looks absolutely gorgeous, her white dress brings out her red hair and eyes. I hadn't noticed, or maybe i did, but i had picked a few red ribbons to go along with my outfit as well. Though I feel like a fish out of water being with girls my age and even at a tea party no less.
We exchange our pleasantries and light chat, me being more awkward but it doesn't seem like they noticed. But once in a while I would find Livia's gaze on me, and it calms me down while also burning me up.
'Livia isn't one to show kindness for nothing,' I thought as I brought my cup to my lips.
"By the way, i heard you made a bet with the Duke Ernest, Lady Fiona," the lady beside me suddenly said, making the other ladies exclaim with interest.
"Really? You did?"
"What kind of bet?" the ladies now surround me as they sparkle with
excitement and curiosity.
"I wouldn't call it a bet exactly… I made a little promise. If i win the upcoming hunting competition, Duke Ernest has agreed to acknowledge me as Helion's successor"
"The hunting competition? Isn't that dangerous?"
"Then we'll all be rooting for you, Lady Fiona! I think it's remarkable how you're doing it for your family!"
out the corner of my eye I saw Livia, staring at me. It's not a big deal, I told myself, but I can't help it. I couldn't help but gulp and let out a breathy "thank you"

What can I say, I didn't expect Fiona to accept my invitation. I haven't been able to stop thinking about the night when we first met. It was my first time
being exposed to magic so closely and experiencing it first.
'Lady Fiona certainly is remarkable'
"Oh, Lady Fiona. I'm curious about something! Is it true that a very powerful mage lives in
Helion?"

"Sorry?"
"I heard it too! They say that after she's done slaying beasts, it's an absolute bloodbath…"
I looked at Fiona out of the corner of my eye, she seemed taken aback that people outside of Helion knew of her, well a rumored image of her. I put down my cup and smiled a little
"I heard a slightly different rumor. The mage is the protector of Helion, where winter descends all year long."
I recalled the night of the ball, after Fiona had transported us into the field of flowers. I had asked her about Helion. Seeing her talk about the most dangerous place in the capital with such pride and passion made me awestruck. And that was when i knew that she truly deserves the title of protector of Helion.
"The people of Helion call her something entirely different."
I smiled when i caught her gaze, she seemed to be nervous. She did mention that she didn't go out of Helion manor much. Though i must say, seeing the great magician of Helion nervous
like a deer in red headlights is an adorable sight.
Ah no, that's not quite right… "They call her….. The winter guardian."

*Thump*
Oh no… This is bad…
I can't stop falling in love with her.
