I opened my eyes, I discovered I was in a pure white space that held nothing.
Looking around I couldn't help but feel like this was a dream.
"Nope, this isn't a dream." A woman with long blond hair, dressed in an black tunic, appeared in front of me as she spoke timidly.
Her blue eyes were watery and her skin was clean white with no sign of injury like scars or birthmarks.
She was strikingly beautiful, like beyond beautiful.
Whatever she was, it was clear she wasn't human.
Her beauty was too flawless, as if she'd been carved by a master sculptor.
"Um, would you mind telling me what's going on here?" I asked plainly.
If I had to guess this was some sort of heaven or death place.
Damn, I'll be surprised if I even made it to heaven.
"This is not heaven or a death place, this is a sacred place where I summon souls, oh yes I forgot to mention I'm a goddess!" She awkwardly explained, her entire body was fidgeting like she was a teenager in love.
Yeah, no shit you're a goddess...
"That was rude!" Her face flushed as she pointed at me.
"Do you bring every single person here who dies just for a small idle chat? Does that include animals as well?" I looked at her with pity.
"Nope, typically souls are immediately wiped clean and recycled. We Gods are very busy after all!" She spoke with pride as she lifted her chest up.
"If that's the case, may I ask why I was summoned here?" I asked a genuine question.
"Wow, you're a quick one. Well you see..." She began fidgeting with her fingers while looking away like she was trying to avoid my eyes.
Raising my eyebrow I pierced her with my gaze I would only use when I was torturing captured subjects.
This seemed to break the goddess as she got on all four knees facing toward me.
"I'm sorry! I was the one who got you killed, me and my sister were playing lighting tag and I threw a large bolt of lighting down to earth on accident! I swear it just slipped out of my hand!" She began rambling on with excuses.
Ah...
No wonder, there wasn't supposed to be any rain that day nor lighting or thunder.
To think my perfect record would be stopped by a literal god.
I knew at one point I would probably be killed but if you told me that a god would kill me I would laugh in your face and say you're on some major acid.
"Ok, I don't really care, you can lift your head." I awkwardly scratched my cheek.
The goddess lifted her head with sparkles in her eyes.
"You don't care!? Oh my you are telling the truth!" She sounded genuinely shocked.
I won't lie, it feels weird having someone able to read you like a book.
Well... at this point it doesn't matter, she did say souls are wiped clean so I won't remember anything.
"I don't really care for an apology so you can wipe my soul clean and do whatever you need to do." I said in an uncaring tone.
I really didn't care, I have taken thousands of lives, some even innocent and I never had a blood family so no one would miss me.
Fuck... I bet you my superiors are cursing me to my grave.
"Actually the real reason why I summoned you here wasn't just to apologize!" She spoke in a serious voice.
"Then why did you summon me here?" I asked.
"It's because I want to make up for my mistake! Me and my sisters have all decided to send you to another world." She happily said.
Another world?
Why?
Honest to god... why would I want to go to an unknown world?
Hell, I would be so out of place with the culture and way they do things...
Adapting wouldn't be an issue as I've adapted to many biomes and places but this is a whole new world!
"Don't worry! It's a world filled with magic!" She smiled.
Goddamn I felt like I was blinded for a second just by her smile alone.

Well... fuck it, I'll go to this new world. I'll use this opportunity to live a carefree life!
"I'll go, but can you give me information about this magical world?" I looked at the goddess.
"Of course! I can't have you dying so fast!" She looked at me with a loving smile:
"First, you'll be reincarnated as a baby to a baron household in the world called Nyx which has four continents!"
"The human continent, elven continent, demi-human continent, and finally the dwarven continent!"
"Fyi, only nobles of all races can possess mana but everyone including commoners possesses an unknown amount of skills."
"Basic ranks for mana users are like this: 0th tier, 1st tier, 2nd tier, 3rd tier, 4th tier, 5th tier, 6th tier, 7th tier, 8th tier, 9th tier, 10th tier."
"I can tell you right now... no one in the entire world has yet to pass the 7th tier rank as of right now!"
"Skills are divided into five ranks S, A, B, C, and D."
"S: 1/100,000,000 chance."
"A: 1/1,000,000 chance."
"B: 1/10,000 chance."
"C: 1/100 chance."
"D: 1/1 chance."
"The likelihood of being given a skill differed depending on the rank."
"Theoretically, it was possible to be born with a skill from every rank."
"But the odds of getting an S-rank skill alone were one in one hundred million."
"That meant the probability of being born with a skill from all five ranks was..."
"Well, one in one hundred quintillion."
"But do not fret! Me and my sisters pulled some strings and our superiors are allowing you to select 5 skills from any skill ranks!"
"Trust me, I couldn't reincarnate you to a new world where you only possess one skill which was a D-rank skill that didn't have any practical uses: Animal cry, Dishwashing, Speedy dressing, and Cross-dressing."
I nodded my head at her long explanation.
This definitely sounds like a magical world alright.
So I'll be reincarnated as a baby into a baron family in the human continent I'm guessing.
If I'm going off of medieval times the rankings from best to worst for noble society was like this.
Royal family, Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount and Baron.
So, I'll be at the bottom of the barrel?
It really doesn't matter though, I just want a calm, peaceful life.
"Oh yes I forgot to mention! There are demons but thy are rare so you probably won't encounter any but monsters on the hand, you will."
My ears twitched at the goddess's words.
"There will be monsters, like what?" I asked.
"Zombies, golems, ogres, goblins, succubus, werewolves, ghouls, vermin lords, dragons, predator slimes, undead, skeletons, automations, fallen angels, insects, immortals, doppelgangers, dragonoids, and so much more!" She spoke rapidly .
Well shit...
This sounds like a challenging world to live in.
"Excuse me, may I start picking my skills?" I asked nicely.
"Of course!" She nodded her head.
Suddenly a giant hologram appeared in front of my vision.
It had 5 rows of thousands on thousands of skills in each rank.
Turns out in total there were 200,000 skills.
"Welp, time to start picking my 5 skills."
