Chapter 26: Ch26: The inheritance of emperor Darien

Max was looking at Ryan with a shocking face as if he had seen a ghost. Ryan was checking the bow and looking at Max from time to time. But looking at Max's shocked face. Ryan didn't feel Max lied. He passed the bow to Max. it was a gesture to Max to try the bow. Max went closer and moved his hand towards the bow.

Ryan saw Max's hand was shaking. Max touched the bow with a finger. An electric bolt from the bow hit them. They felt shocked by Max's touch. Ryan moved his hands and the bow fell. Max moved a step back from the shock in his hand. Ryan was perplexed to see why he didn't feel anything. He lifts the bow again and he felt nothing. The righteous order was only working on Max!

Max went ten steps away from the bow after getting a shock from it. Max took his handcuffs and started doing something with them, he was trying to ignore Ryan. Ryan didn't care about it. He was looking and examining the bow. Ryan could say from his weight it was at least grandmaster level. Ryan tried to pull the string in the bow.

But it was too tight he wasn't able to. Ryan was staring at the bow for a few minutes but he didn't get the status of the weapon. He frown and stared, focused on the weapon. Still, nothing happens. He looked at the golden handcuff and didn't see a status. Ryan frowned for a second he thought that he lost his power. He thought about using his power and checking the status.

'It is stronger than grandmaster's realm' Ryan was shocked. A weapon more powerful than grandmasters which can defeat grandmasters was in his hands. It was an invaluable treasure in Cape city. Now, he understood why he couldn't pull the string of the bow.

Ryan kept the invaluable treasure back in its place. He wanted to try more treasures but Max pulled him out of the combat building as it was midnight and they had to attend a class tomorrow.

Dean Leo stepped inside his office as he had something in his mind which was more important than being with his disciple. Three hologram screens appeared before him.  The person who was in the meeting were grandmasters. They were having an online meeting. One of the people shows tantrums, "Do you know how hard it is to connect to you?"

Another one said, "Don't ask for help to deal with the evil moons again?"

The 3rd one: "it's been a long time, we don't need any troops here"

The dean spoke, "I called all of you to talk about an important matter"

"The emperor Darien's inheritance is seen by my disciples. They were told by emperor Darien to meet me and become my disciples. We have a chance to get emperor Darien's inheritance. We already know the rules to become a candidate for the trials of the inheritance as the sole survivors of the dungeon"

"What if it false made by those, to become your disciples?" one of them questioned

The Dean looked at that person and asked, "How many people know about emperor Darien?"

There was a silence in the meeting. They were the only ones who knew about emperor Darien. The only ones who survived after knowing about emperor Darien were present in the meeting.

That incident had occurred a few hundred years ago. But the incident was still imprinted in their minds even today. Everyone was recalling what had happened in the dungeon. The horror and resentment of the incident were still inside their minds.

"Why did emperor Darien help your new disciples to find you? What was there for emperor Darien for doing it?" someone asked. It created doubt about whether Leo Albano was telling the truth or not.

Before grandmaster Leo could open his mouth and answer. Someone from the group answered the question, "because the disciples were righteous constitution holders"

No one thought about this scenario and had their mouth wide open for a few seconds. They knew the value of a righteous holder in the city. They were great defense and law enforcement in the city.

One of them spoke, "congrats on getting two new righteous constitutions holders. You can make your group now"

Another one added, "so, we are getting two new grandmasters in the next 100 years. It's a piece of good news that Cape city will have six grandmasters now"

The main theme of the conversation was purposely ignored and suppressed with another talk. Grandmaster Leo Albano understood that they were purposely ignoring the inheritance.

"I am talking about the emperor Darien's inheritance?" the Dean got their focus back to the main reason why he called the meeting. There was a silence in the meeting, no one wanted to talk about it for some reason. Leo Albano understood their silence. Everybody was scared to take a step into a place related to emperor Darien again.

They had lost several new talents due to the wrong decision they made. Leo wasn't a grandmaster at that time but the dungeon was actually helping him and was based on him. It was the reason why he survived in the dungeon. When the remaining four people came to the end of the platform.

They understood why Leo was getting better treatment in the dungeon and they were mercilessly killed and hunted down. It was because of Leo's constitution. The dungeon was made by emperor Darien for the righteous constitution holders. There was a little bit of hatred among the three towards Leo and it was justified.

Today, everyone knew that again, when they get inside the trial to get the inheritance of emperor Darien. Leo will be treated differently and others will be hunted down mercilessly. Leo understood from their faces what they were thinking. It was no use to talk about the emperor's inheritance to them. Leo ended the meeting as everybody stayed silent on the matter.

"Let's talk when we meet physically in Cape city" Dean replied to the silence in the meeting and ended the meeting.
