Chapter 1: Prolouge

 

In the middle of a busy street, I finally got the reward for completing the "Captured Noble" secret quest and my previous party disbanded after that. 

It's done.

Everything's over. 

Yet why do I feel empty inside? Maybe after spending a lot of time with them I realized it was finally time to find some friends I can hang out with. 

I look at the loot I received to distract myself. They have nice quality and could definitely make use of them to improve my armor and get some new equipment. Since I don't belong to any guild, I have to go to an inn to log off my character. Doing so would receive a well-rested bonus compared to logging out in the respawn area.  

I checked at the nearest inn and paid the bill using the player screen.  After that, I made my way to my room. This day is quite eventful since they are going to add a new patch of the game. Lying on my bed and just feeling the softness which is not good as in real life but it's the closest to what VR achieved today. When my mind is finally at pieces, I tapped the log-off button. 

"Wait what-- " Before my interface disappeared, there was a sudden popup notification that I wasn't able to read as everything went black afterward.
