Chapter 8: Trust

Waking up from what I felt as a deep and comfortable sleep. It felt good not until I felt a sudden jolt of pain in different parts of my body.

My head was in pain but not like the extreme pain I felt when I woke up, it felt like a normal headache , In short I am dizzy.

" Damn it can't I just wake up without feeling pain!" (Jacob)

" Haha my partner is awake , how ya holdi'n up. Its only been a day since I met you and it seems trouble always follows you wherever you go."

Raevin Daevin said walking in the room wearing his usual fancy but rugged look.

"Thank you for helping me , if not for you I would have been dead by now" (Jacob)

"I cant let my business partner kickin the bucket first thing in the morning" (Raevin Daevin)

Still feeling pain all over my body I pushed myself to walk towards Raevin Daevin to thank him by giving him a hug .

"Hold on there boy , stop pushing your body to its outmost limits rest first then we'll talk later"( Raevin Daevin)

I didn't get to hug him but he seems to know my intention.

"I cant thank you enough, but aren't you supposed to ask me what happened?" (Jacob)

"Boy I know you got your secrets I respect that , I also know that asking you will only get me all curious and you don't want me to question you more, I know that your also curious to how I saved your life , its a bit weird the spell I used was Preserve a spell typically used in preserving meat and herbs to deliver them fresh, in your case the spell worked on you because you were... how do you  say this... DEAD yeah thats right Preserve only works on non living things and when I used the spell you were already DEAD , but through some miracle the healers I hired and the healing spells they casted were doubled in effects when used on your corpse, one thing led to another you were already in stable condition , and was breathing fine, questions will be asked later for now you really need to rest" (Raevin Daevin)

Damn Im very happy Raevin Daevin went all through that to help me. I should help him in his business in the near future.

For now lets lay in bed and think of what happened so far.

First of all healing spells work double on me , I dont know the reason for that but it has to do with me being from another world or due to a secret blessing the angel gave me.

Secondly I already tasted death once IM NOT DOING IT AGAIN. 

Thirdly I should ask Raevin Daevin of what roles there are and there branches.

Fourthly I need someone to help me adapt to this world although Raevin Daevin is there he still is a busy man and he has other things to take care of, I need to find someone I can be at ease with, someone I can depend on, someone who can fight and has knowledge it can be anyone considering many races in this city have.

Wait a minute I can buy a slave right , Yeah thats the answer Im looking for but lets sleep for now I wouldn't want  a headache right now.

After a few minutes I feel myself drowning in the pleasure of sleep.

 

 

 

A new day means new beginnings . 

Woke up early feeling hungry I walk out of my room and I saw a dude who seems to be a beastkin and ears resembling a cat and it seems to be working for Raevin Daevin because of the familiar logo on the dude's shirts.

"Hello good morning, may I know your name" ( Jacob)

" AH  yes you seem to be sir Jacob ,Boss told me to cook and clean the house for you, I forgot to introduce myself I am Daniel a beastkin from the feline clan and I have been working for Boss Raevin Daevin for 10 years 5 months and 9 days."

What a fun way of introducing yourself.

"Can I know where to meet Raevin Daevin?" ( Jacob)

"Boss told me , if you wanted to meet with him you have to, clean yourself, wear the clothes prepared for you in the second drawer in the cabinet in your room, eat the food I will cook for you, freshen your mind , then after doing those things I will guide you to where Boss is"       ( Daniel)

Hmm well Raevin Daevin is still an influential man and he did save my life so I will let this pass by me.

I should do it know , as they say, the sooner the better.
