The whole day Ashma and Young-Jae spend in their respective rooms. A pen was inside her bun and another was in her mouth. She was typing emails, writing notes and drawing designs at the same time. Her hands were either busy on the keyboard or were filled with pens and pencils.
At dinner, there was a knock at her door. She looked at the clock, it was way past dinner time. She cracked her neck, ran and opened the door. In-Ho was standing at her door to call her for dinner as she lost track of time because she was too busy with her work.
"Ready for dinner?" asked In-Ho.
"Oh sorry, I didn't look at the time," Ashma showed regret.
"No worries, let's go."
Ashma took out all the pens from her hair, placed all the pens and pencils back on her bed and followed In-Ho. The dinner table was empty. Young-Jae was not present at the dinner table.
Ashma itched her forehead and asked, "what happened to him?"
"He said he was feeling under the weather," informed In-Ho.
"Oh nonsense, he was well and walking when everyone was going," said Ashma, causally. She was not ready to believe that he fell ill suddenly. One moment he was fighting with her and next he was ill. That was impossible.
"He has the issue of high blood pressure, so sometimes it goes berserk," educated In-Ho.
"If he will get angry every day, his blood pressure will definitely go high," Ashma rolled her eyes.
She ate her food and retired to her room without disturbing Young-Jae in his room. In-Ho took his food directly to his room. She worked on her laptop and went to sleep. All night she kept thinking about Young-Jae, Yong-Sun and her mother.
Even though she showed no emotions towards Young-Jae, she was slightly concerned for him. There was no one else in the house to take care of him. What if he gets severely ill, all will have to come back and all the ceremonies would get cancelled.
Then she thought about Yong-Sun. Should she continue her relationship or break off with him? She could not decide. Her mother told her to continue it but her heart was in dilemma. She knew she liked Yong-Sun but could not decide if he likes her back to the same extent. Little did she know that he was already in love with her.
Third, she thought about her mother. Till yesterday morning she was ready to break a family, but after her heart broke she understood how many people felt and would feel. She was about to destroy so many lives just for her happiness. She was still in doubt. What if her mother plays another trick, she would be not there to control her. But she knew that Young-Soo would again reject her.
Her mind then went to Young-Soo. She was liking him more every day after spending time with him. He was smart, intelligent, kind and likeable. He was a polite boss and extremely business-oriented. She had no idea why Young-Jae never included him in his business.
Thinking about all this, she fell asleep. She was in deep sleep, in the early morning when she heard a ringing tone. She thought she was dreaming but the first thing she heard in the morning was her phone ringing. She opened her eyes with difficulty and looked at her phone with one open eye. It was her mother calling.
"Are you awake?" asked Vidhi excited
"No, Mom," she groaned. "Still sleeping, what happened? You sound happy," observed Ashma.
"Nothing. Just called to tell you this place is aa… ammazzzing," shouted Vidhi.
"Okay, Mom," yawned Ashma and turned to her side.
"Oh sorry, go back to sleep. I will talk later," said Vidhi.
Instantly, Ashma disconnected the call and placed her phone on the nightstand. Within a minute her phone rang again. She picked it up, it was again from her mother.
"What, Mom?" said Ashma, concerned. Why was her mother calling so soon? Was everything alright?
"I was about to say I miss you and you disconnected the phone," shouted Vidhi, sadly.
"Oh, I am sorry," yawned Ashma.
"I miss you," said Vidhi, sweetly.
"I miss you too, bye," again without hearing the complete conversation, she disconnected the phone.
Within a second, again her phone rang, it was Vidhi, again.
"What now, Mom?" shouted Ashma annoyed.
"You didn't let me finish. I miss you. I love you," said Vidhi adoringly.
"Ahh… Me too mom, bye."
She disconnected the phone and placed it on the nightstand, again. She groaned, turned to her other side and slept. But the very next moment her phone rang again. She groaned with frustration. She shouted at her phone, "Oh, mom, let me sleep."
Without looking at the caller id, she picked up the call, brought the phone near her ear and shouted, "Yeah, I miss you too and I love you too."
"You love me?" a male voice asked her.
"What?" screamed Ashma. She sat up with a jerk and looked at the caller id. It was Yong-Sun.
"Who were you talking to? Are you seeing another man on the side," teased Yong-Sun.
"Shut up!" scolded Ashma. She yawned again and said, "I was talking to mom, she was annoying me by calling again and again."
"Liar! Tell me who is that man?" mocked Yong-Sun, again.
"Stop teasing. Why did you call at this time, so early in the morning?" groaned Ashma.
"We have an important place to visit today," informed Yong-Sun.
"Where?" while talking to him, she let herself fall on the pillow.
"Another gallery, keunahppa asked me to take you there," Yong-Sun continued with the information.
"Okay, I will get ready and meet you," said Ashma.
"No, no take your time. I will pick you up from the Park mansion," educated Yong-Sun.
"Then why do everyone keeps waking me at this hour?" shouted Ashma, annoyed and frustrated.
"Sorry, sorry."
Yong-Sun stuck his tongue out and immediately disconnected the call. Ashma slept for half an hour more and then woke up. She went to the bathroom, opened her emails and sat on the toilet seat. She kept yawning and reading the mails. Two people disturbed her sleep and she was tired. Her team had sent a few ideas and the ideas she liked, she star-marked them. She brushed her teeth took a bath, washed her hair, took her time in the bathroom and came out.
She blowdried her long hair which took her a long time. She then wore a leafy green a-line dress. She went outside to the kitchen. As she was entering the kitchen, In-Ho was coming out.
"Please tell Iseul what you want. I will be back in a minute," said In-Ho in a hurry.
"Taking breakfast to him?" asked Ashma.
"Yes."
"He doesn't even want to look at my face?" asked Ashma, sadly.
"No, no," assured In-Ho. "He has a cough and cold. I think he has the flu."
"Is he alright?" questioned Ashma.
"Yes, I think so. I am taking this soup and tea for him, then I will give him medicine," informed In-Ho.
"Oh. I will be going out but I will try to come back soon," said Ashma.
"Can't you stay?" pleaded In-Ho.
"May I ask why?"
"He never listens to anyone when he gets ill. Only Bongie or madam could control him," said In-Ho.
"And you think he will listen to me?" asked Ashma.
"At least you can scold him. You are not frightened of him," said In-Ho.
"Ha-ha," laughed Ashma. "I would have stayed but I promised Yong-Sun that I would go with him and it's about my work."
"Oh!" exclaimed In-Ho.
"I will be back in a few hours if it's okay with you," comforted Ashma.
"Yes, dear, it's fine. Now go, have breakfast," said In-Ho.
"Thank you," said Ashma with gratitude.
She entered the kitchen where Iseul was preparing breakfast for her. The whole house was silent. The only noise that was coming, was from the kitchen. As soon as Iseul saw Ashma she greeted her, "Good morning."
"Good morning, Iseul."
"Eggs?" asked Iseul.
"Yes, please," said Ashma.
"Are you going out?" inquired Iseul.
"Ha-ha," laughed Ashma. She understood why she was asking about her going out. "Yes, I know about the old man. I assure you that I will be back in a few hours," assured Ashma.
"Yes, I heard, was just checking whether you changed your mind," said Iseul. That made Ashma laugh out loud.
"Sorry but I already promised Yong-Sun and he is coming here," informed Ashma.
"No worries, we can handle him for a few hours," said Iseul about Young-Jae.
"Okay. I will try to come back as soon as possible," said Ashma and took a bite of her eggs.
Ashma was having her breakfast and talking with Iseul when the doorbell rang.
"Oh it must be Yong-Sun," exclaimed Ashma with happiness, she didn't know why she was happy. On one hand, she was ready to break his heart and on another, she was happy to see him.
"I will take care of that, you finish your breakfast," said Iseul.
"Okay!" Ashma continued gobbling her eggs and toast. The tea was delicious today. Iseul went and opened the door. She then came into the kitchen accompanied by Yong-Sun.
he smiled at Ashma and said to Iseul, "I am hungry too."
"I will get something for you too, sir," said Iseul.
Ashma was still in dilemma but her heart stopped beating as soon as she saw Yong-Sun. He was wearing a long-sleeved black t-shirt and blue jeans. Even the casual look was looking amazing on him.. He was looking too handsome.
