Ashma was feeling light after talking with that woman. She was sweet and sophisticated. Ashma was happy to help a person in need, though it was a small help. Moreover, that person accepted her help with a sweet smile on her face. Ashma was more impressed by her beauty. Even though she was beautiful she had no vanity, no arrogance. She was humble and soft-spoken.
She moved towards her mother's room with a smile, she was ready to receive good news and eager to take her mom back home. She also remembered that she had to ask her mother to talk to her nanaji. She pushed the button of the lift with a huge smile on her face.
Today she was feeling better though Baek-Hyeon tried to spoil her mood earlier by calling her his sister, but that gorgeous woman and her sweet voice made it better. Now all she wanted was to hug her mother. It's been days since she hugged her or talked nicely with her.
She reached the designated floor and moved towards her mother's room. The moment she opened the door and was about to go in, a handsome man was coming out of the room. She bumped into him and stumbled. The flowers flung away from her hands. She tightly shut her eyes and was ready to fall hard on the ground.
But nothing happened. No matter how much she waited to fall, she never fell. She could feel that she was suspended in the mid-air. She first opened her left eyes and then right. She was shocked. She saw Yong-Sun staring at her with a cute smile on his face. She was in his arms. He raised an eyebrow and teased her.
"Why do you always land in my arms?" whispered Yong-Sun.
"Ha-ha, shut up," Ashma whispered back.
"Will you both keep standing at the door or come in," shouted Eun-Kyung from inside the room.
"Coming," shouted Ashma.
Ashma pushed him away and stood up straight. She realised she had no flowers in her hand just the bag she brought for her mother. She looked around but nothing was on the floor. Absentmindedly, Yong-Sun hands went up to her head and removed a petal of flower from her head.
"What are you doing?" she jerked his hand away.
He grabbed her again and threw her against the wall. He then lifted his hands up and showed her the bouquet.
"This is what you are looking for?" Yong-Sun looked into her eyes.
"You caught it?" she inquired.
"I caught both, flowers and you," he smirked.
"Oh show off, give me that," she snatched the flower away from his hand.
She tried to walk away when he placed one hand on her side blocking her path, she then moved to the other side and he blocked that too with his other hand. She was completely enclosed in his enclosure. She moved closer to her making it impossible for her to move.
"What?" she snapped.
"There are a few flower petals in your hair," he answered.
"Oh," said Ashma.
She lifted her hands but both her hands were full, so Yong-Sun moved his hand and touched her hair. He moved his fingers all through her open, silky hair and removed the petals. She kept staring into his eyes, he kept staring into hers. No matter Eun-Kyung scolded them a few moments ago, they were in their own bubble. The staring competition continued, no one was ready to back off.
"Ashma! Yongsuna! Are you guys coming in? Did you find your mother, Yongsuna?" yelled Eun-Kyung. That broke their trance. She pushed Yong-Sun away from herself and composed herself. He stood at a little distance from her sill refusing to stand away from her.
She then cleared her throat and said, "ahem! Your mother?"
"Yes, his mother," suddenly a woman turned a corner and spoke. It was the same woman she met in the flower shop, the beautiful, soft-spoken woman. The woman she helped was Yong-Sun's mother.
"You? You are his mother?" asked Ashma shocked.
"What? I can't be?" asked Hei-Ran with a smile on her face.
"No," blurted out Ashma.
"What? Why?" shouted Yong-Sun.
"She is so beautiful, you are just… blah," teased Ashma.
"Hey!" shouted Yong-Sun.
"Ha-ha," laughed Hei-Ran. He was happy to see that her mother was enjoying meeting her. His mother rarely laughed after his father's death but she laughed wholeheartedly with Ashma. He fell in love with her a little bit more.
"What is taking you guys so long?" Eun-Kyung came out of the room, impatiently. She saw Hei-Ran and said, "Oh Rana! Finally, your son found you, there was no need for you to come here so early in the morning."
"Sorry I was not there with you yesterday, and Yongsuna told me about what happened so I thought I should visit as early as possible," explained Hei-Ran.
"Good decision," applauded Eun-Kyung.
"You were angry at her yesterday, now you are meeting as if nothing happened," pouted Yong-Sun.
"When was I angry?" teased Eun-Kyung.
"Last night," sulked Yong-Sun.
"You have no idea about friendship," said Hei-Ran.
"You guys," said Yong-Sun.
"Okay, let's go in, Vidhi is waiting for all of you, especially you," said Eun-Kyung to Ashma.
They all went in. Vidhi was sitting on her bed with a big smile on her face. The other bed was still empty. Vidhi opened her arms and gestured to Ashma to give her a hug.
"Mom!" She threw herself at her mother. They both started crying while hugging each other. Everyone smiled at the sweet reunion. Yong-Sun's mind went to last night's memory when ashma was crying after she was dejected but now she was crying due to happiness. He wanted to hug her and wanted to make sure she never ever cries in her life, ever again.
"Never scare me like this ever again," shouted Ashma at Vidhi.
"I am sorry." She hugged her daughter tightly.
"You wrote a nice letter, reminded me of your childhood," teased Eun-Kyung.
"What? You showed her the letter," scowled Ashma.
"I showed your letter to your pen pal, what's wrong with that?" Eun-Kyung and Vidhi were smirking, teasingly.
"Mom!" she looked at Eun-Kyung who was holding the letter. She smiled embarrassingly at her.
"Let me see too," said Yong-Sun and snatched the letter from Eun-Kyung's hands.
"No, Mumma, no," shouted Ashma.
She saw the letter in Young-Sun's hand and ran after him to snatch the letter from him. They struggled but she succeeded in taking the letter from him.
"Oh, I should have read it last night," he groaned.
She stuck her tongue at him which made every lady laugh out loud. The whole hospital room resonated with laughter. She immediately crumpled the paper and kept it in the bag.
"This is for you, change your clothes. By the way, what did the doctor say?" inquired Ashma.
"He hasn't arrived yet," informed Eun-Kyung.
"Oh." Her heart started beating faster. She now was afraid to hear what the doctor had to say.
"Let me go, check for him," said Yong-Sun.
"Okay," said Eun-Kyung. Yong-Sun shut the door behind him and went to call the doctor.
"Thank you for the flowers," said Vidhi to Hei-Ran. "I believe those are for me." Hei-Ran realised that she was still standing with the bouquet.
"Oh sorry," said Hei-Ran and gave her the white roses.
"Vidhi, meet my best friend and queen of Korean business, Seo Hei-Ran. Rana, meet Vidhi," introduced Eun-Kyung.
"Pleasure to meet you," said Hei-Ran.
"You too, nice flowers," said Vidhi.
"It was your daughter's choice, she helped me," said Hei-Ran.
"Oh, she has a great choice," complemented Vidhi.
"That she does, so how are you now?" asked Hei-Ran.
"Feeling a lot better," replied Vidhi.
After a few moments, while the women were chatting, Yong-Sun arrived with the doctor.
"This is Dr Seong Chung Ho, he is the best cardiologist in Korea. Your case is in his hands."
"Annyeonghaseyo!" He greeted everyone in Korean and bowed down to everyone.
"Doctor! please talk in English, they don't understand Korean," informed Eun-Kyung.
"Okay, so how are you feeling today?" asked Doctor to Vidhi.
"Better than yesterday, what happened to me?" asked Vidhi.
"All the stress and tension, caused you to have a panic attack," replied the Doctor.
"Okay."
"So your test results are in," informed the doctor.
"Is she okay?" interrupted Ashma.
"She is okay for now," replied Doctor. Ashma tensed up with his reply.
"What is that supposed to mean?" she asked.
"Okay, we have good news and bad news. The good news is she is fine, you can take her out of the hospital today, but the bad news is you cannot take her out of Korea, and I am assuming you are not from Korea," said the Doctor.
"You assume correct doctor, they came to visit from India," said Eun-Kyung.
"Oh wow!" exclaimed Chung-Ho. "So, she cannot travel to India for almost a month and she needs to come after every 15 days for a routine check-up."
"But what is wrong?" asked Ashma.
"Her age, stress and panic attacks," replied the doctor.
"What?" asked Ashma with concern on her face. Eun-Kyung moved to her and placed her hand on her shoulder.
"No, no there is nothing for concern, we are just taking precautions," said the doctor. "People of her age who get panic attacks, are at a higher risk of heart attacks."
"Can a panic attack result in a heart attack?" inquired Ashma.
"Though panic attack does not result in heart attack, but stress, anxiety plays a major role in the development of heart disease," clarified Chung-Ho.
"So?" Ashma was worried.
"So no travelling, no stress, no tension, she must always be happy," said the doctor.
"No travel? For how long?" inquired Vidhi.
"Let's start with a month, then we will do a stress test and will find out in the future," advised the doctor.
"A month?" exclaimed Ashma.
"No sir, we cannot stay. We only came here for 4 days," said Vidhi.
"I am sorry, you can fly if you want to but I won't recommend it. You never know what might happen," clarified the Doctor.
"But we need to leave," said Vidhi.
"Enough mom, we don't have to go, you can take as much time you want," said Ashma.
"But dear your work?" inquired Vidhi.
"I can keep flying whenever necessary and rest of the time work from here. Priyanka will look after everything. I will inform her soon." She went up ahead and hugged her mother.
"My sweet child!" Vidhi kissed her on her forehead.
"You just take rest and get well soon and you need to talk to nanaji," said Ashma.
"I will ask a nurse to bring the discharge form, fill it, sign it and you can go," said the doctor. He started walking away but turned around and asked Ashma, "May I ask you something?"
