Chapter 13: Ch-13-Speech & Sports Festival

Just like that, another week went by. Everyone trained, going beyond their limits everyone's eyes aimed at class 1A!

Everyone was in the 1A waiting room in the stadium. Mina and Eiji were sitting back to back. Well, she was leaning on him more, practically wearing his red hair like a cloak.

"Is everyone prepared? We're set to move in no time." Iida looked at everyone as they all psyched themselves up mentally.

"We can't wear our costumes," Mina said.

"True, but it's to even out the playing field," Eiji said, turning back to her.

Everyone was getting ready. "Midoriya," Todoroki called him the green boy and turned to him.

"What is it?"

"On an aim stance, I'm better at practical strength. I don't care why you've gained almighty sight, but I plan on beating you."

"Wow, so kind." Kaminari joked.

Midoriya stayed quiet for a moment before stealing his fists, "Todoroki you might be stronger than me but as a member of this class the class that all the ones beneath us will try to replace I won't lag so I'm going to go for it with all my might."

"Hmph."

"Everyone it's time to move," Iida said as everyone stood up Eiji shook Mina out his hair and turned to Todoroki, "I know you're not here to make friends and I hope that changes soon enough Todoroki so as a future friend and rival you better watch out because I'm gunning for first place!"

Eiji grinned, smashing his fists. He also turned to Bakugo, "and I haven't forgotten about your explosion lord!"

Bakugo, being he, nodded, "then bring it hard ass."

Only then did Present Mic speak, signalling everyone to go. Together, they marched into the stadium with calm faces as he introduced them.

"S-so many people," Midoriya stuttered.

"They're praising us, huh? I'm getting nervous," he chuckled.

"Nervous cause you're afraid of stage fright," Bakugo grinned.

Present Mic kept on introducing the other classes their introduction were different as expected.

Everyone quieted down as Midnight the 18+ Hero walked up to the stage, "welcome younglings to your hell there's only one rule I cared for and that's playing fair, now Eijiro Kirishima representative of class 1A!"

She called, and Eiji gulped walking up there. All the students in the other classes groaned.

"Of course, it's class 1 A again, so he scored first place in the entrance exam?"

"What a load."

As Eiji walked up to the stage remained calm, he left millions of eyes on him. He looked around but couldn't find his parents. There were so many people. He tapped the microphone.

"To all who want to place first I have some words for you to get in line, I'm the one who's going to stand at the top so you better have the spirit to face me or stand down and get out of my way."

That was it. Every other class pupil raged on pissed they booed him, but it only made him smile.

"Haha, that's my boy!" Rio stood up hearing he was in the stands with Kushina by his side. Some adults beside them looked at them.

"That's your kid?" a stranger beside them asked.

"Yep, our special hero!" Kushina smiled proudly to be flexing her son's image.

"He put a target on himself like an idiot!" Another adult a lady said, looking up to them.

"He's no idiot if he did it, then he did so on purpose!" Kushina glared at the woman.

"Pft hahaha! That's even worse! My son will crush him like nothing!" She burst out laughing at this point. Kushina was ready to take a life.

...

"Unbelievable! How can he be so cocky!? I'll be the one to crush him!" A student from class 1B Tetsutetsu said glaring at Eijiro and he wasn't the only one.

'Good. I put a target on my back.'

He returned to his class seeing a mix of looks. Iida was upset he couldn't use any of his words. He worked hard on them. Midoriya was worried but realised he put a target on his back on purpose.

"All right with that, we can now move onto the first event," Midnight said as a roulette screen appeared behind her.

"Prepare yourself, as it could be anything. This year's first battle of destiny is this!" she said as it stopped.

An obstacle race, "A race between all 11 classes! A race around the stadium! You are all free to do anything so long as you remain on the obstacle course."

Everyone moved to the starting line, ready for the go.

'Flexi harden!' Eiji focused on hardening his muscles as people shifted.

["START!"] Present Mic shouted.

Everyone was ready to bolt, but they all got stuck in the beginning. Eiji grinned. Jumping over all the pupils, Todoroki froze them and ran forward.

Not long after, though, everyone with skill made it out of the ice.

Eiji and Todoroki were in a tie for first place. "Yo!" He smiled at Todoroki, who just scoffed.

-Vrrm!

A robot emerged from beside him, but with one punch, he crushed it immediately.

["HERE COMES THE OBSTACLE THE ZERO POINT VILLAIN ROBOTS!"]

"They brought these guys in for this?" Mineta screamed.

"So it's just these guys huh," Todoroki said.

"Raaah!" Eiji charged, going bulletproof. He was faster than Todoroki as the giant bot smashed its fist into him.

["IT LOOKS LIKE ITS LIGHT OUT FOR EIJIRO ALREADY WHAT ABOUT BECOMING NUMBER 1!!?"]

-Crack! -Boom!

He burst out through its metal, charging forward. It did not hurt him in the slightest.

"Tch!" Todoroki touched the ground, forming a wave of ice freezing the robot.

"He froze them all," some students awed and ran after him as they got close. The robots fell on them.

["AND CLASS 1 A EIJIRO AND TODOROKI HAVE FORGED A WAY AHEAD! AND BLOCKED THE OTHER KID'S PATH IN ONE SWOOP HARSH!"]

'What a monster,' Eiji looked back, seeing Todoroki catching up with him. Midoriya gulped, activating one for all, and punched the small villain bots, grabbing part of its metal and forging ahead.

-Boom! -Boom! -Boom!

Bakugo flew over the bots followed by Sero and Tokoyami, Present Mic and Aizawa commenting on every moment the camera bots installed around the track captured.

"AND IN CONTESTING FOR FIRST PLACE EIJIRO AND TODOROKI BOTH STUDENTS FROM CLASS 1A!"

"Do I have to be here?" Aizawa asked, sitting beside him, 'Eijiro,' he watched as he ran far ahead of Todoroki, forcing him to slide with his ice to catch up.

"The second stage," Eijiro stopped looking down the fall. Todoroki stopped observing it as well. Everyone caught up in a matter of seconds.

Eijiro didn't wait for an introduction and leapt with Flexi hardening his muscles were vastly stronger than before he could jump from platform to platform with no problem.

Todoroki followed, using his ice to push himself from wire to wire. For this obstacle, he got across first.

["AND FIRST TO CROSS IS TODOROKI NOT STOPPING HE'S CHARGING AHEAD FOR FIRST PLACE!"]

"God damn it!" Eiji just landed on the other side, seeing him getting further ahead.

"That kid in first, isn't he the son of Endeavour?"

"No wonder he made it across. He's practically set to be number two hero after Allmight, damn I'm sure all the heroes would line up wanting to recruit him."

"What about the other kid with the long red hair? He's doing pretty good."

"Yeah, but you heard him coming in the first place? Seems like a stretch."

Kushina, who was listening to the people around, felt a pit of worry build up inside of her only when Rio grasped her hand did she breathe.

"Our son will be fine."

"I know it's just that child Todoroki has talent and training from the Number 2 hero, I-I can't."

"Hey shut it," the people around stopped talking seeing her on the verge of tears she wanted everything for Eijiro when she saw him in a dark place about to give up on his dreams and then seeing his spirit shine again she was over the moon.

But now she was afraid of the question of talent or hard work which would come out on top.

[THE FINAL BARRIER HAS BEEN REACHED AND THREE OF CLASS 1A'S PUPILS ARE BATTLING FOR THE NUMBER ONE SPOT!]

"Eh?"

-Boom! -Bam!

Eiji tanked one of Bakugo's explosions and punched him in the face, pushing him back, and blocking one of Todoroki's arms from freezing him.

-Boom! -Boom!

"Bastard!" He roared, blasting himself back up and blasting to him and Todoroki.

Eiji was currently in bulletproof, running through the minefields. It singed him, but not enough to stop him. This forced Todoroki to slide with his ice quirk to catch up and Bakugo, not being left behind, blasted his way to them.

They were getting close to the end of the minefield when!

-BOOM!

They stopped, looking back at a massive explosion. No one knew what as a figure emerged from the smoke.

["WHAT THIS CLASS 1A'S IZUKU MIDORIYA IS SURFING HIS WAY TO FIRST PLACE! WAIT SURFING!?"]

He wasn't wrong as Midoriya was standing on the metal piece, one for all coursing around him as he flew past the three of them.

Bakugo, first to react, yelled, "DEKU WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?"

"Well, that's my queue," Eiji grinned, pulling out all the stops he charged right ahead, stepping on every land mine. A trail of explosions followed him.

"Damn, I don't have time for this," Todoroki cursed as he slid further.

"I need to jump now!" Midoriya leapt off the metal board, landing at the end of the minefield just as he did Bakugo, Eijiro and Todoroki went past him, "Eh? I-I can't waste time!" He said using one for all at 2% he ran alongside them!

"DEKU!" He roared, sending a blast to Midoriya which the boy slid underneath before getting back up, "AND YOU TOO!" He continued blasting Eiji and Todoroki, the latter retaliated with a kick and the other an ice wall that was soon shattered.

They ran down the narrow path. Trying to stop one another, all the people watched, waiting to see who would come out the end, explosion and ice sound with a scraping of metal echoed from the cave until!

-BEEP!

["EIJIRO EJIROU FIRST PLACE! FOLLOWED BY MIDORIYA, TODOROKI AND KATSUKI IN THAT ORDER! JUST WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT TUNNEL!?"]

"Haha!" Eiji smiled, pumping his fist with a thumb up to the crowd.

"I can't believe this," Todoroki muttered, seeing Eiji smiling at the crowd.

"FUUUUCK!" Bakugo screamed glaring at the three who came after him, he didn't see it coming but when he went to blast Eijiro, he grabbed him by the arm and threw him into Todoroki and then punched Midoriya and kicked off running further ahead.

"Cough, Eijiro did you have to punch me?" He asked, sniffing.

"What? We're friends, but that doesn't mean you get a free pass. I rate these hands E for everyone."

One by one, the places were getting filled. There were slight changes in the order of who came but it was still the same people as expected.

"Our baby made it to first place! Are you seeing this Rio?" Kushina cried tears of joy, shaking the man back and forth.

"I know he's amazing."

"Your kid is something else," one adult spoke up with a smile.

"We know," both said with joyful smiles. They looked at each other proudly before watching the tournament continue.

It took a while but when Midnight came to the stand explaining the next battle, which would be a calvary fight. Everyone turned to Eijiro.

He grinned under the eyes of his enemies as it displayed his mark at the top in gold letters: 10 million points!

Eiji chuckled, seeing the predatory gazes of his everyone, "you better have the spirit to face me or stand down and get out of my way."
