GRAY'S POV

"the Duke's knights will be here in three days?" i said with a perplexed tone. i am currently speaking with Carl who is seated infront of me with a cup of tea on his right hand. knights only move out when their is a mayor crisis and knowing that the Duke's personal knights are heading this way shows just how serious the Duke is taking this. "yes, we received a message from this village's magic communicator" Carl tells me while taking a sip from his cup. a magic communicator is as it sounds, it sends voiced messages through magic sound waves leading towards another magical communicator, it's a very fast way to communicate.

i have heard that the leader of the Duke's personal knights is very formidable, to put it this way if he were an adventurer he would rank at least SS or mabye even higher. i could be wrong, but that is what i have heard from people who have personally met him. "what if they don't believe that a dragon did that?" Carl tells me while looking directly at my eyes. "they will have no choice, but to believe it after all the damages that were caused do not look like they were made by human hands" i say looking at him back with the calmest tone a can muster. the damages that occurred look like an extremely powerful beast had done it, i don't think they will question it. "if they question about the dragon than simply say we only saw its shadow overhead"

ASH'S POV

right now I'm infront of Sack who came with his father to visit. i don't know what to do even tho I'm supposed to be the adult one here. "there is no need for you to apologize" i look up at him with a face filled with shock and surprise. he knows i was the cause of all the damages and trauma he may have gotten, but he simply wants me to let it go without even giving him an apology. thats preposterous, i wouldn't be able to sleep at night if i don't make amends. "i can't, you and everyone else deserve an apology from me" i tell him with a downhearted look.

"no i should apologize as well, if i had stoped Jack non of this would have happened" he tells me with his own sorry tone. what a nice kid he is, blaming himself for something he wasn't even apart of. if we continue apologizing like this than it will never end, i should probably change the conversation. "speaking of which, do you know how Jack is doing lately." is not that i am worried about him or anything . "i heard he hasn't left his house since the whole incident and stuff" it seems he knows what i was going with because he wasn't bothered when i changed the conversation.

so Jack hasn't left his house since yesterday, just like me, but unlike me he is probably in there because he's scared of me and what i would do to him. is not like ill do anything to a three year old. that is just morally wrong to begin with. "i heard your father is teaching you how to wield a sword. is it true?" he tells me out of nowhere while looking at me with an interested look on his face. "yes, i started training under him not to long ago. why do you ask?" i tell him with a question of my own. "well would you like to train with me. my father is personally teaching me how to wield a spear."

he is being thought how to wield a spear!? and here i thought my parents were the only ones teaching their son how to defend themselves. about his question, i do need a training partner since my dad isn't always available. "sure we can train. do you want to start now." Sack stands up with an excited face and glowing eyes, he than runs up to me. "yes!, let's do it now!" he practically yells at me with a face filled with joy and excitement. i simply smile at his excitement than remember something very important. my mother won't let me leave this room and if i go out without telling her she would surely ground me. i guess i have no choice, but to tell her.

ONE HOUR LATER

after an hour of persuading my mother i was finally able to leave the house. granted that was with Sack even helping me, that just shows how loving and most of all stubborn my mother is. Sack and i are currently facing each other holding our very own wooden weapon. while mine is a double handed wooden sword Sack's on the other hand is a long wooden spear. he is holding his spear with a left hand near the the front of the spear and with the other at the end of the spear. he's body is sideways while his spear is about a 40 degree angle from his body with his left leg a bit forward.

i on the other hand have a simple, but practical stance. i am holding my sword with both my hands infront of me and simply having my body straight. not as grand as Sack's is, but practical non the less. "are you ready?" i tell him with a series tone. Sack nods to me to show his response. i rush towards Sack than swing my sword vertically. Sack perceiving me coming his way reflects my strike with his spear than does a counter attack of his own by thrusting his spear.

noticing his attack heading my way i move to the left than move a bit forward since he has the range advantage. i do a side swing that he ends up blocking, but i end up sending him back a few feet. i look at him and he looks at me back while smiling. i thought i was talented, but Sack is no puch over either. i guess I'll have to stop going easy on him. i ready myself for our next confrontation then charge at him once again, but this time with a speed that he can barely follow. he somehow saw me coming since he places his spear in front of him in an attempt at blocking my next strike.

however i wasn't aiming for the front, but the sides. i attack with the same speed as before, but before my attack hits i stop a few inches from his body. Sack looks down at me in shock and what seems to be amazement. "you're really strong Ash" he tells me while seeing me walk back a bit. "you're no puch over either Sack, im sure if you've have had more practice then their would have been a different outcome." i'm not make it that up, i truly believe that if he had more practice then there could be a possibility of me losing even with this crazy body of mine. we continue practicing for a few more hours until Sack's body had enough in the end.

i on the other hand have my body in good condition, like it was when we started our duel. "would you like to come over sometimes?, we can continue training together that is if you want" i tell him while helping him get up. "sure ill come, but you also have go to my house as well" Sack says with a smile. i smile back to him than nod to show i understand.
