Chapter 22: 22. You’re not the father

"AAAAAAHHH!!!", cries of pain of pain could be heard, resonating through the grey cement walls of the basement, the smell of blood was sick in the air and nosearijg for the human trapped on the chair, so much so that he picked his guts out.

Intestine smells needed a certain level of tolerance after all.

"Ah can you die in silence pretty please?", Kaede asked the ghoul she just eviscerate, ignoring Eto laughing her ass off while the human was quite literally shitting himself.

The ghoul was trying to put his guts where they belonged, his regeneration kicking but it in no way stopped him from suffering pain and fear.

Kaede, seeing the way the injury as grievous as it seems will not be fatal, sighed, and walked in front of the ghoul. The ghoul tried to crawl away, fright all over his face drastically contrasting with the small smile adorning Kaede's face.

"Bubble, come here my boy! You must be famished.", she called out, and not even twenty seconds later the Shiba Inu arrived. His back legs dragged behind him and his tongue lolled out.

As soon as the dog arrived in the range of Kaede's vector, one of them zipped to the dog and connected the damaged spine together. Kaede wished she could do this permanently and that Bubble would not need her to walk normally.

Her smile widened as the ghoul shrieked in agony as she twisted each and every one of his members. Then a vector phases the defenseless ghoul and shreds the kagune from the inside out. 

As the invisible hand exploded out from the wide open stomach covered in blood. This did not kill the ghoul, but it criplled him, making him safe to eat.

And this was what exactly followed, of course, it was Bubble who will feast upon the ghoul entrail. Kaede petted Bubble and her intention shifted to the human.

"Aw… Are you scared? I mean it's perfectly understandable but doesn't worry. We brought you here for a different reason.", the pink-haired girl said, this didn't seem to appease the man in any way.

Taking off the blindfold she frowned at the sight of the man, dirty short black air, bloodshot eyes, and teary. 

Said man was shocked to be met with a young horned teenage girl, though this turned to horror as right behind her was Bubble eating the still barely alive ghoul.

"Ah your the guy from that funny video and don't worry this is a ghoul. The one killed the mother of your unborn child, specifically.", Kaede specified and spun on herself, arms spread, she finished her spin by clasping her hand together. This one wasn't her father. 

She was sure of that, but there was something particular with him. A presence similar to her own in him, in fact, it was her own presence. Also, she remembered him as an entire video that has gone viral and she was here at the moment it was taken

Remembering that day in more detail it instantly clicked. Well, at least that was one of the possibilities ridiculous as it will sound.

"Wh-""Shhhhh! I know what you want but… To be honest with you. I could care less. Now… As I can see what happened for a baby of the same species as me to be born.", Kaede interrupted him, a vector going over his vocal cord and gently grasping them.

'This is fascinating… So I can 'infect' people. Is this how my species multiply? Does that mean I'm some kind of parasite… Hmm but I have periods… And it means what it means.', Kaede wondered, that means that there will be many more that will be born from the number of humans she infected.

One thing she instinctively could tell now that she was aware of it was there was a 'hierarchy' or a type of caste in her species and as the first, she was at the top of it. 

It was not exactly like a leader but more on the type of relationship with the different castes of ants and the ant queen.

In all cases, she inherently possessed a type of influence over them but it was not absolute. Kaede thought about telling her of that aspect but stopped herself.

Eto had a clear objective, whatever they were Kaede was sure that if she proved to be an obstacle her death was certain. Playing family did not equate them remotely being one.

"Mom, would it be possible to look through Tokyo's hospitals' files and see if any horned child or fetus was reported?", Kaede asked Eto who simply nodded with a grin.

The Leader of the Aogiri Tree was also extremely curious about this affair. More of Kaede's species will stir even more chaos… It's not like they will grow fast, time was needed before they became a problem. 

And causing genocide was not out of her non-existent moral compass.

"Ah, right I shouldn't forget about you. I won't kill you. Well if I do it won't be intentional hehe. You see, I want to test how well I can make humans forget things."

The man begged, cried, and yelled but nothing stopped Kaede. A vector going right through his brain, its targets are the hypothalamus and other parts of the brain surrounding it.

Was she a neurosurgeon or had expensive knowledge of human neurology, of fucking course no she wasn't and didn't! She knew one thing or two but that was different, and more related to dogs. Did she care about the potential death of the man? No, of course not. 

It's not like a human never lived with part of their brain damaged or completely missing, or even lives through being shot in the head. Yes, those were unique cases but that was a minor detail in her book.

And he was not an angel either, impregnating a 16-17 year's old girl was far from what she considered as someone being morally good. 

Though she was perfectly aware that she was way worse on the moral side of things. And on many other aspects.
