I watched as my army slowly enveloped the enemy formation, our samurai's were shooting down any small weakness in the enemies formation causing the large army of pike-men and foot soldiers to get slowly squeezed between each other making it a practice day for the samurai, I notice one samurai accidentally tripped causing an arrow to go fly and hit a young kid in the leg. I grabbed my spear and galloped past the army and towards the kid.

The kid must not have noticed me as he shot another arrow at my army and took out his knife, I calmly pulled my spear back and slammed him with the wood pole causing the kid to fly a few feet away, I smoothly transitioned into spinning the spear above my head before cleanly slamming the point into his heart. I removed my spear and trotted over the body as I returned to my army. I yell out

"Today is a beautiful victory for the revolution!"

I raised my spear and the army rose their own weapons and yelled out in unison to depict this victory. I smiled as I tell the troops

"Empty the horse make sure no person is left alive and no thing of value is left behind."

The army nods their heads and started slowly getting off their horses and exploring each house. I look at a swordsman and say

"Return to the main army and tell them about our victory, capture any horses you see on the way."

The man nodded his head and said

"Yes general!"

I calmly walked towards our scarecrow distraction and yanked of a piece of black fabric off one of the scarecrows and cleaned off my bloody spear. I then easily dismounted from my horse and fed it some of the hay from the scarecrows before walking towards one of the houses far away from my troops.

I walked inside to hear crying, I stayed silent as I walked through the horse. I grabbed anything of value and broke anything that enemies could use like clay pots and I hid steel that could be melted into new weapons. I then walked towards the source of the crying, the sound was that of a child. I pulled my spear back and pointed towards the middle of the cabinet before stabbing forward breaking through the middle of the wooden cabinet.

The sound of the child crying became screaming, I sighed as I realize I missed but that didn't matter, I pulled my spear back again only to hear a loud crying of

"Why are you doing this!"

I always answered any question a civilian asked me due to respect of their mentality. I calmly say

"For the revolution."

The child screams out once more

"What revolution!"

I once again calmly said

"This nation is in a three way war between the loyalist supporting the old way of running which was practically a dictatorship!"

I took a breath before continuing

"The revolution is for changing the government to one run by us the nobles as a group of ten."

I then raised my spear only for the child to poke his head out of the cabinet and ask

"What was the final side."

I sigh as I look at the kids young and dirty face with rags for clothes, he was either abandoned or homeless, I looked away from his dirty black hair and eyes filled with grains of sand and lightly tapped him with my foot until he was back in the cabinet and out of my sight, I then say

"The third side are a group of crazy people are trying to overthrow the government completely, they have support from foreign nations and have powerful weapons but they are small in number."

The kid then asked one final question

"Why are you going to kill me?"

I then silently held the cabinet closed with my foot as I said

"I don't take risks"

I did a large thrust into the cabinet. There wasn't even a scream, it was the opposite as without the crying there was more silence. I looked at my bloody spear and sighed before saying to myself

"This is the worst part of the job"

I walked out the house trying my harder to forget the face of the child when he poked his head out, I angrily yelled out

"Someone give me a rag!"

I then sighed as I then walked towards my army. There wasn't many just a total of two hundred soldiers but a majority of them were samurai and I knew full well that a samurai would happily change sides for the right price. I look for my second in command and tell him

"Go tell the main army that we are going to move up and try capturing the enemy outpost and supply camp."

The vice commander nodded as he galloped away. I then looked around to see all of my troops emerging from the houses, some with bloody spears and others with handfuls of gold. I shake my head before calling out to my army.

"We shall take their outpost and supply line and dine like their kings!"

The army yelled out in support as I got back on my horse, I raised my spear into the air before galloping out of town.

Not long after We arrive at the supply line and outpost. I slowed down and told the army the plan

"The outpost shouldn't be to heavily defended but be careful of traps and especially of siege weapons. The plan is a simple one."

I pointed at the outpost tower first.

"We start with a large assault on one flank as a distraction with samurai and pike-men before me and our swordsmen will charge towards their outpost and burn it down before we can kill all their horses preventing any more transport of goods."

The army nodded as I pointed at the samurai and said

"You move around to the back of the army before using hit and run tactics."

The samurai all holding bows galloped towards the back of the outpost, I breathed in and pulled out a piece of steel and flint, I handed it to man beside me and said

"Who ever burns down the outpost will get a raise, if you die then your allies can pick it up and get the raise instead."

The swordsman nodded before the sounds of screaming rang out at the outpost. I raised my spear and point it forward towards the camp, the army behind me charges from their training. I follow them from behind only to see a sudden rain of thousands of arrows, I quickly yelled out

"Watch out, they have multiple hwachas!"

Many of my men retreated while some pulled out shields from their back while others hid under their horse but a vast majority of my army was shot down. I yell at my army

"They are reloading , this is our chance."

Immediately the army regrouped and one man bent over to pick up the flint and steel. I gallop towards the enemy and yell

"The samurai should arrive any moment now!"

We charged forward with a loud scream as we finally reached the camp with only a hundred or so troops, I raised my spear and started slashing down on my enemy only to hear the outpost crumble, I look behind myself to see the tower of flames as I yell out.

"Kill the horses!"

Suddenly I heard galloping, I yell out

"The samurai are back!"

I raised my spear as a rallying cry only for a wave of arrows to fly towards me. Without saying a word I roughly get off my horse and use it as a shield, I hear arrows beat into my horse as I say

"Sorry about that."

The rain of arrows stop, I push the horse off of me to see that only around ten of my troops survived this, I see the samurai put up their bows and take out their katanas. I yell out

"Hand me the flint and steel, we have about twenty seconds before we are slaughtered!"

In just two seconds a swordsman handed me the flint and steel and I ran to the stable, I pick up a carrot from the feeder and jump onto a horse before quickly kicking open a horses stable before jumping on ,  I kicked the horses side causing it to flail. I grabbed the flint and steel and barely managed to light the stable.

The horse then dashed out of the stable as soon as it noticed the fire, I held on for dear life as there was no saddle. I lied down as low as I could to avoid the arrows that I assumed were about to fire, I looked to my forward to see a large treeline that would be my only chance, I then looked left to see exactly what I expected with around one hundred samurai all locked onto me with a bow, I kicked the horses side desperately hoping for a faster gallop

I then heard a low

PING

I looked back to see almost every samurai launch their arrows, I knew samurai were trained for hundreds of hours to shoot targets on horseback while on horseback, the chance of all one hundred of them missing their shot while they were standing still were almost none. I knew I only had one chance to survive. I galloped and waited till I heard another

PING

I then immediately jumped off the horse and ran to the tree line in a diagonal in a completely different direction then before. I ran as fast as I could before another

PING

Rang out, I ran and ran as the treeline became closer and closer, I didn't look back but my gut told me I had one chance even with all my armor. I yanked my leg armor and stumbled out, I collapsed on the ground and held it above my face and body, I closed my eyes only to hear hundreds of clanks, I felt immense pain in my legs but I refused to look down.

I threw the pant armor to the side and seen almost twenty arrows inside. I smiled as I crawled behind a tree just out of their view. Suddenly a loud sound a galloping rang out but I smiled. I grabbed my flint and steel and set the bush beside me on fire. I then started crawling away from the fire hoping that an ally would find me first only to hear a growl.

I looked behind me to see a large brown bear.

I tried crawling away as my legs were useless. I crawled as fast as I can refusing to look back until suddenly it felt like a large weight on my back. I couldn't move so I clenched my teeth and looked behind me to see the beer on top of me eating my legs, I screamed and cried as I looked at the bear but the bear didn't move. I heard a large crack and a pain in my chest. I looked the the bear as it started tearing at my back.
