Dueling Blues

There’s been a lull in people challenging her, which while does give her the peace and quiet that she wants, also meant that her source of DP got thinner. Something that she doesn’t really appreciate if she was being honest, since that meant that she wouldn’t be able to open more packs and supply Sister Claire and her group of Red Hats with more cards.
It was probably because if the video of her dueling Serena was actually recorded by someone and was then released online, she didn’t even get any royalties out of it! She’ll sue you, you know!
Not that she would actually do that, suing someone and the court process was a pain anyway, it would take her too much time and wouldn’t be worth it in the end.
Anyway, apparently since the video got popular and circulated around the school, along with the videos of the previous tournament and her exploits in it being recirculated, along with the match of her beating the top three Ra Yellow students, she got struck with the embarrassing title of Champion.
Which was extremely embarrassing mind you. Wherever she walked around the school everyone around would be minding her and either staring at her with fear and awe, that and their whispers are extremely annoying.
She could clearly hear you, you know. If you have anything to say, at least have the decency to say directly instead of whispering while you’re walking away while blatantly pretending that you didn’t notice!
But anyway, a few months already passed, a whole semester even, since that fateful and eye opening match with the indigo haired girl, and while she had a whole lot of other matches with her and the others, none of them were really as memorable as their first one however, they were basically either OTK Lunalight against Control Dragonmaid or OTK Gaia.
She won most of the games whenever they played, what with Sheou capable of negating Polymerization, the deck’s biggest choke point since it heavily relied on Fusion, and or Crimson Fox, her only way of outing Sheou or House who has higher attack than her signature Cat Dancer.
That and the occasional win with backrow like Dragonmaid Tidying which returns one Dragon card on field and one card that the opponent controls or in their grave, that one actually were important a few times, and Guardragon Cataclysm which is Icarus Attack for Dragons.
But anyway, in regards to the indigo haired girl herself, she got quite good at piloting her deck, and thanks to pulling a few of the packs that she unlocked from beating her in their very first duel, she got her some generic support first.
Tenki, is of course, a three of. It’s basically RoTA after all, why would you run any less than three? That’s just stupid. And she also found a card that would help her turbo out Panther Dancer, and also Leo Dancer which she only has one copy of apparently, which is not Kaleido Chick since she hadn’t pulled it nor Lunalight Fusion, but Cattle Call.
It wastes the normal summon, though if the summoned card was Emerald Bird then it would still trigger its on summon effect, but since Cattle Call can cheat out either Cat Dancer or Panther Dancer and use it as fusion material to fusion climb, a sentence that she never thought she would say.
Of course there were other cards that she could use to achieve basically the same result like Fusion Tag, and she did tell the girl about that, but there was an argument of filling the graveyard so that it could be used as targets for Luna Light Reincarnation or Lunalight White Rabbit.
Which was, a valid argument, especially since then it would give more materials that could boost Lunalight Sabre Dancer, a card that she hadn’t managed to pull yet since her losing all of her DP when she lost a match when she missplayed and accidentally put House on attack instead of defence and having no interaction, leaving her wide open for Crimson Fox and Cat Dancer OTK.
An amateur mistake that cost her over 250000DP, a mistake that she never does again when she dueled against the girl and goes first, unless she was playing Gaia of course, and actually read the effect of Gaia Origin.
Listen, she might be knowledgeable about cards and their effects, but it doesn’t mean that she read them completely okay. It’s like reading the effect of Ultimaya Tzolkin when dueling against VW, thinking that its only purpose was to cheat out Crystal Wing and try to remove it from the field, only to find that you can’t attack it while Crystal Wing, or any Synchro Monster for that matter, was on the field, and it’s untargetable.
But back to the pack that Serena gave her, because there’s a lot that she needs to unpack from that. Because while it did say that it was a pack about Lunalight based on the name Luna Beast-Warriors, it also eventually unlocked the general Beast-Warrior pack after she bought a few packs, that’s what lead to her current predicament.
The general Beast-Warrior pack has some general Beast-Warrior support, the Fire Formation cards like Tenki, Tensu, Gyokkou, and Yoko. you know, the ones that are actually useful, heck even Caninetaur was in this pack, a card that only saw use in Duel Links of all places! Along with some Fire Fist and even some Fire King cards, which eventually unlocked her the Winged Beast pack and Continuous Spell pack.
So uh, beating Serena basically got a lot of the ball rolling for unlocking a lot of packs for her. Just like how opening a good box worth of packs got her a Machine based pack, and Edo’s pack got her a generic Warrior support pack.
And though she hadn’t gone through that hole yet, she could assume that if she opened a good amount of those packs she could do Dark Warrior Toolbox, or maybe just Warrior Toolbox or whatever shenanigans and degenerate plays that it would allow her to do.
But uhh, back to the generic Beast-Warrior packs however, there were some downright scary cards in the pack that she had unlocked. That’s because there are some generic Beast monsters that are sprinkled in that support Beast-Warriors, one of which is a great go second option that even she might be scared to give out to Serena because of the chance that Academia would take it.
That card being Alpha, the Master of Beast, or more generally known as Pankratops version two. A free special with 3000 attack that can return monsters the opponent controls to the hand by returning Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast cards that you control.
It’s not a quick effect like Pankratops, but it's still removal. Non destruction removal at that. But anyway, on to the next cards that made her shiver just by having one of them in her possession.
Tri-Brigade was in this set.
Need she say more.
Alright listen, she’s not getting a lot of challengers lately, probably because of her moniker as Champion and her regular daily duels with her small group of friends intimidates everyone, including the upperclassmen and the Academia staffs, so she needs to farm more DP with Free Duel instead.
And though she can’t perform any other Extra Deck summon other than Fusion Summon publicly since her System prevents her from even putting non-Fusion cards in her Extra Deck, that limitation does not affect her in Free Duel.
And although her Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika deck is serviceable, especially with her Winda lock whenever she faces a Red Hat that plays a combo deck, Revolt is a tribal Soul Charge that is searchable off of Bearbrumm that can also net her an incredible amount of advantage when she activates it.
So uhh, it might take her some time since she only has one copy of Shuraig, and pulling that also took her a hefty chunk of the DP that she had. She’ll still be building the deck in her freetime and all, but it definitely will not be seeing the light of day anytime soon.
Heck, if not pure Tri-Brigade, then she might even be able to construct Bird Up, word deck in the format. Simorgh, Bird of Sovereignty was in the Winged Beast pack along with Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds, she could play with that, it is a lock after all.
No, she won’t go for the degenerate route and go for Apex Avian and Union Carrier to equip Mist Valley Thunderbird and make literally infinite negates. It’s too degenerate and sometimes inconsistent.
If she wants infinite negates, or something close at least, she’ll go for the Drytron Herald route thank you very much.
But uh, there’s also another good archetype that’s in the list of Winged Beast, and that is Flundereeze. And though that archetype isn’t that super good under the floodgates that she introduced in the format, Summon Limit, it is a deck that has a good Boss Monster in the form of Empen and, funnily enough a card that she already has, Raiza the Mega Monarch.
Not to mention that City of Dreams lets you play on your opponents turn, that and since the deck doesn’t use the Extra Deck, she could fill with a small Dogmatika engine with Nadir Servant and N’tss’. Though the deck does die with one hand trap.
Ah, but that’s enough talk about her future plans for farming and deck building. More on what she had done in the last semester and the things that happened, other than apparently gaining a moniker and scaring everyone out of dueling her of course.
First off, right after their match and their deck building session, Serena started following her lick a little duckling. Though it might be more correct to say that the girl was more of a stray cat that comes back every day. Though instead of coming for food, she comes to duel her or Mei, whoever was up for it and was free really.
Mei didn’t seem to like her though. She always complained about Serena taking her time with her. Something that she kind of understands, she did have an older sister back in her old world, she understands how it would feel when someone takes your older sister’s attention.
So to ease the purple haired girl of her worries that she wasn’t her favourite one and only disciple, she agreed to accompany the girl every weekend, the only time of the week where she was supposed to have for herself.
Other than that, attending school at Academia, the school that would spark an eventual dimension war with card games, was normal. Classes were normal classes, math was math, mitochondria was still the powerhouse of the cells even in this dimension yadda yadda. Wait, she’s reading highschool materials? You don’t get that far into biology for grade schoolers? Whoops.
Anyway, midterms were easy, it was basically the basics of the basics after all, she didn't really need to study that hard. If anything she was studying too hard, she’s reading highschool level already, and it's not like most of the classes that she never studied back in her old world were hard too, dueling quizz were easy as pie and not anything that she would even worry about.
Her relationship with the boys were cordial, they were friends that duel each other and help in their studies, or in actuality it was her and Ryo tutoring everyone other than Edo, mostly Fubuki if she was being honest. Mei and Serena were smart little cookies, they didn’t need any tutoring, and Edo was quite smart too.
Well, if anything that only made school life easier for her, even if her circle of friends could be counted by hand, she at least has friends! Eat that! They added each other at Dueling Book so that they could all talk to each other on this semester break.
She and Mei were in the orphanage, though they still went to the Academia every weekend to visit Serena, since for some reason the staff doesn’t allow her to leave the school grounds, or more correctly, the island.
Didn’t stop them from smuggling her out of the island though, that earned a laugh from Sister Claire of all people, something about them disobeying the Academia made her both extremely happy and yet extremely worried at the same time.
Well, they all had fun, it was basically a sleep over after all. Even Mei, though she might dislike Serena, smiled a lot when they were basically doing normal girl things, shopping for food and looking at stores, searching and looking at the bad cards that they sell in the stores that they call support and sold at extremely overpriced prices, and talked about decks and strategies.
Huh? Those weren’t normal things that young girls their age should do? Well, it’s something that they do! And they’re normal average young girls! You got a problem with that punk!
If there was anything to note, then it was when they actually asked and realized that Serena never celebrated her birthday, which by itself was a crime. “What do you mean you don’t know your birthday?!” She shouted, slamming her hands on her bed.
The indigo haired girl simply blinked, and shrugged non pulsed at her exaggerated reaction. “I just don’t know when my birthday is, I was an orphan until the Professor took me in.” She said, looking down back at her scattered cards, and continued editing her deck.
She looked at Mei, who looked back at her and just seeing that reaction from her already told her all that she needed to know. She nodded her head, and said, “Alright, let’s go out then.”
Saying so, she stood up from her bed, stretched her sore muscles a bit, and proceeded to look at the two girls sitting on their beds. “Well? Get yourself ready soon, we’ll head out in a bit.”
“Where are we going?” Mei asked her, not even refusing the extremely sudden invitation as she prepared her small handbag of things, and attaching her duel disk to her left arm, and slotting her deck in.
“Huh? We’re leaving?” The indigo haired girl asked, tilting her head slightly. “To where? Why are we even going out?”
“Huh? Isn’t it obvious?” She said, giving the girl a baffled look. “We’re celebrating your birthday. Since you’ve never celebrated one, and since we don’t know when you’re actually born, we’ll just celebrate now.”
It was at that moment that she opened her mouth and let out a strange sound. “Oh, what’s today’s date again, I’ll have to note it down so that I don’t forget.” She pulled up her own duel disk, checking today's date to mark it as Serena’s birthday.
The indigo haired girl looked towards her purple haired friend, giving her a look as if she was asking for an explanation to her strange behavior, only to receive a shrug. “Just go along with it.” She said. “Yuuna gets excited about birthdays, she was the one that gave everyone in the orphanage birthdays.”
“It’s important after all. Just to remember how old you are.” She commented. “That and if you say to the grandma running that candy store that it's your birthday she’ll give you candy. Trust me, it works.”
That and just not celebrating birthdays is just wrong. Kids are supposed to be selfish after all, and birthdays are when they can be as selfish as they want and get presents from family and friends.
And it might not be much, but since she designated every kid in the orphanage their birthdays, it makes it easier for her to remember. She would always give out candy or slices of cake with the DP that she farmed, or just make it herself with Sister Claire’s help.
In the full day in Academy Island which she spent with the indigo haired girl, she found her preferred kind of ice cream was vanilla, how she doesn’t really like cakes when they went out for to a patisserie after a good dueling session, and most certainly how she was incredibly utilitarian, what with her only belongings being the bare minimum.
Which means that while she could certainly give her something like clothes or something that the girl could use on a daily basis, but she had a better thing to give as a present in mind.
And so, despite the person herself having some reservations, she managed to drag Serena out to eat some good food. They ate at a restaurant, not an expensive one mind you, she’s still reeling at her loss, with Sister Claire accompanying them.
They ate good food, had some good time, with Serena and her large appetite wasting her funds more than she already has, and the abrupt small birthday party ended. “Well, happy birthday. Here.”
Turning around towards the indigo haired girl, she held out a card, giving it to the girl. She looked at her, and to the card in her hand. Seeing her unresponsive, Mei gave the girl a nudge. “Take it. No need to pay for it too. Yuuna always gives out cards whenever it’s someone’s birthday, didn’t you remember when Yuuna gave Edo that one card?”
Ah, yeah, she remembered that. She always gave out support cards for her friends, like giving Fubuki another copy of Red Eyes Fang With Chain, or giving Ryo Cyber Dragon Vier. Both thanked her, and asked where she got the cards from, and her answer was of course the Red Hats, a group of people who apparently dueled people and discerned whether or not they would sell cards to them based on their performance.
It certainly helped that the kids were meh duelists. A compliment in this world, since they could beat the likes of Osiris Red, though not Ra Yellow or above sadly, but that was enough for young kids. Sister Claire’s was something, to have the patience of teaching those rowdy kids and make them listen to her.
If it was her she probably wouldn’t have been able to take it, she only tutored Mei because she was such a nice girl who learnt quite quickly. Serena too for that matter.
Anyway, the two boy’s reaction were quite self contained, what with Fubuki already knowing about the Red Hats since he got his support cards from Mei of all people who was disguised at the time, and while Ryo was curious, he simply chalked it off as someone was attempting to spread the Cyber Style, and how by the looks of things it was evolving, saying that it was like how Fubuki’s Red-Eyes also had support even though it was quite a dated archetype.
She let out a huge breath of relief later on when she was at her room, since giving out that archetype specific card to Ryo, who was the only person she knew was the only one that ran Cydras, was quite a gamble. What with there being a school and all.
So with that, when Edo’s birthday came, she gave him a Destiny HERO card as a gift. Not anything as scary as Fusion Destiny or Malicious, not that she had even pulled them, and not the copy of Destiny HERO Plasma that she got, but just a boost in the form of Destiny HERO Drawhand, as a draw card. Completely forgetting about Edo’s background and all.
Unsurprisingly, the boy flipped out, hounding her for every bit of detail as to who was the Red Hat that sold her the card. She only gave out vague answers of course, which led the boy to be frustrated, but he let it go after a while.
Later that week, she heard from Sister Claire that he’s been going around the island beating every Red Hat he could find, and interrogating them for information as to who had cards that his father designed.
No way is she ever telling him she was the one who got it, not until the boy mellowed out a bit more that is. Well, she could always just sell him Vision HERO cards instead, whenever she unlocked that pack and whenever his birthday comes again.
Serena then took the card to her hand, looking at it and reading its effects. Her eyes soon widened as she read the card, her eyes then narrowing and focusing on reading every single line of text that it had.
“Yuuna!” She called her name loudly as she looked up towards her. “This card is-”
“Something that I got recently, I wanted to give it to you sometime soon, so throwing a birthday party seemed to be a perfect time to do it.” She said as she shrugged her shoulders and rubbed the girl’s head earning a squeal from the girl from the suddenness.
She grinned as she managed to get a reaction from her, lately she’s been managing to dodge her everytime she tries to head pat her after all. “Well, It's a good archetypal fusion spell, so be sure to use it well.”
The girl looked at her, and looked back at the card in her hand, her eyes hardened and she nodded. She grinned, and messed up her hair even more, earning a yelp from the girl. And throughout the whole debacle, the indigo haired girl could be seen smiling.
And really, just seeing the girl smile was enough for her to waste all that DP just to get that one copy of the card.
Ah well, she can farm for DP later. She has to build that Tri-Brigade deck somehow. That and collect the other pieces of her Dragon Link deck.
… crap she really should just focus and build one deck instead of being sidetracked like this.
-
They eventually got caught, right after they went for that small birthday party too, and by that she meant they got caught by Academia for smuggling Serena out of the island. She was then basically under house arrest, she was grounded basically. She wasn’t allowed to leave the dorm.
The school basically went on lockdown, and they sent a search party all over the island to search for Serena, all under the orders of the Professor. Which reaffirms her suspicion that Serena was indeed a main character, one that was apparently integral to the plot at that.
That was something that was worrying really, with her being an Academia student in the Fusion Dimension probably meant that she plays a part in the invasion, or at least the plot of the story where the dimensions get all jumbled up.
She doesn’t think that Serena of all people would be able to… card people? Was that the way that they did it? She heard something about turning people into cards forums, that was their main form of what they do to people they beat right? Her memory about the plot that she never even watched was getting all fuzzy.
Anyway, Serena was a person with morals, at least, the Serena that she knows that is, so as far as she knows, she probably won’t stand for literally turning people into cards. That and she probably wouldn’t stand for the whole destroying a whole dimension thing.
So they decided to just stay with her, using the rest of their time on the semester break to be with the green eyed girl. Wasting their time with duels and what not. Her reasoning being that she wants to watch over the indigo haired girl, and make sure that the people around her wouldn’t try and do something weird to her.
The girl always has an Academia staff near her after she slipped out of school grounds, something that annoyed her more than anything, making the girl snap at them whenever one of them talked.
They’re usually staff, but sometimes it was Academia students, or more correctly, Obelisk Blue students, the one studying under Cronos. She dueled against a few of them and found out that… they all used the same deck, Ancient Gears.
Which was… disappointing. She thought that their decks would at least be diverse just like how those Ra Yellow top three played three different interesting decks, but these guys were just incredibly monotone, and the guards changed every day too! And they all have the same deck!
It was boring. Extremely so. She knows that in the anime the whole gimmick of the Academia was Ancient Gears and not letting the opponent activate card effects during the battle phase and all, but for the love of God at least have some diversity!
Eventually school started again, and the dorms became filled with students once again, making it extremely rowdy with kids laughing and dueling one another.
Class started not long after, and as to not repeat the same incident like last time from happening again, she immediately went to class instead of walking around to look at the sights of the school, she had already done that already and it got her to basically be isolated by the student body.
So she was now just sitting in her seat, content to simply just sit there and wait until classes actually start in like, thirty more minutes or so. She already had her daily duel with Mei and Serena, so the latter shouldn’t pester her for another duel again today, so she should be good.
This will be a peaceful semester. She wouldn’t make Edo go on a crusade to find someone who doesn’t exist, she wouldn’t be beating any important and well known duelists and scaring the whole school and the staff.
But of course, knowing her luck, that wish of her’s was not granted. As she found out soon enough when she could hear a commotion from the front of the class. She tried to ignore it, focusing instead on the book in her hand.
Her hopes were dashed away, as she heard her name being said. She tried to ignore it, but the voice soon enough became loud enough for her to hear. “Where’s this Yuuna girl? She’s in this class isn’t she? Bring her out already!”
Every single one of her classmates then looked towards her, and she could feel their glare piercing her. She let out a loud sigh, closing her eyes as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She stood up from her seat, and reluctantly walked outside, towards the crowd of people.
Her friends accompanied her, Serena and Mei standing behind her as she confronted the group. Fubuki, Ryo, and Edo were already standing, what with them being the ones to confront them in the first place.
“So? What do you need me for?” She asked, glaring at the crowd of people and trying to discern the reason why they’re here as she does so. There were quite a lot of them, a whole group of teenagers wearing the usual school uniform, but their color palette was blue and white.
Obelisk Blue? Wait, wait, wait, Obelisk Blue?! So last time she started with Ra Yellow and now she somehow was going to have to deal with Obelisk Blue?! Are you serious?! God are you messing with her again?!
She groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose, already knowing where this line of conversation will lead to. She turned to look at Ryo and said. “Hey, Ryo. Can you take notes if I get late? And tell the teacher about it and all that.” She said nonchalantly.
The blue haired boy let out a sigh, shaking his head as he did so, but he had a small smile on his face. Even Fubuki was laughing, Edo let out a sigh of his own as well. “I guess it can’t be helped.” The blue haired boy said, before eyes hardening and whispered something to her.
“Be careful, they might use cards that would counter your deck specifically.” He said, before turning away. Not before glaring at the Obelisk Blue students, Fubuki too, giving them the ‘I’m watching you gesture’, while Edo just silently left.
She waved back without looking, knowing that he wouldn’t see it anyway. “I’ll be fine. Let’s just get this over with.” She said as she walked past them, ignoring the looks that they gave her and walked towards the courtyard. Mei and Serena followed her, and she let them.
The Obelisk Blues are probably going to challenge her to another battle royal, her second one ever at that. And just like that one boy from Ra Yellow, they probably ran counter cards to her deck.
Which would be incredibly bad for her, and since her decks were all Dragons, one of the typing that receives the most support, there’s also an incredible amount of Dragon hate cards. Heck, there’s a whole archetype about it, and it received a bunch of support too!
Their decks were diverse enough that a non-specific anti type hate card wouldn’t work on all of them. And since their decks were consistent enough and capable to summon out their main Boss Monster under three summons, Summon Limit shouldn’t be much of a problem, unless she wants to extend that is and except for Mei who needs graveyard set up to get ABC-Dragon Buster on board with full combo.
But it wasn’t like she hadn’t thought of specific counters against things like this, as she continued walking she took a look at her deck, and placed a specific card on it. It's a secret card that will help her later, if she finds a way to use it that is.
“Hu-wait!” One of the boys said, following her along with the group of Obelisk Blue students.
He opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, she interrupted him. “You all wanted a duel right.” She said, turning towards them, turning her duel disk on and facing the group of teens. “So hurry up, class starts in thirty minutes and I don’t want to be late for it.”
The boy’s eyes narrowed, and his grin got wider. “Well, well. And here I thought that the so-called ‘Champion’ would be more dignified.” His grin then turned into a sneer, and he glared at her.
“We’ve left you alone because we thought that you knew your place. You even showed those Ra Yellow where they belong, groveling in the ground below.” He said, waving his hands and looking back to his friends and his group laughed with him.
“But then you started challenging us, even managing to beat some of the lower Blues.” His glare came back full force, and his sneer turned into a scowl. “So it seems that you don’t know your place huh ‘Champion’, guess we’ll just have to show you where you truly belong!”
Declaring so, he and a few of his blue garbed friends activated their duel disk, and without even saying anything Mei stood beside her and activated her’s too. “If you’re all dueling against Yuuna, then I’ll duel you all too.” The purple haired girl said, glaring at them.
Serena too, activated her own, making some of the Academia students in the background whisper to each other. “If Yuuna’s dueling, then I’ll duel too!” She declared. The whispers then soon ended as the duel began.
““DUEL!””
Toriko Yome: 4000LP
Yuuna: 4000LP
Arata Suou: 4000LP
Mei: 4000LP
Kasuku Kijima: 4000LP
Serena: 4000LP
“I’ll go first!” The boy that confronted her said, taking the first turn. “I’ll summon Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” He placed a card in his duel disk, and the mechanical hound with gears appeared, howling at them menacingly.
Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 3/Effect: 1000/1000
“Ancient Gear Hunting Hound’s effect! If this card is normal summoned, I can inflict 600 points of damage to my opponent!” He then pointed towards her. “I’ll inflict the damage to you! Hound Flame!”
The mechanical hound opened its maw, and shot out a streak of flame from its mouth. She held up a hand, wincing as the heat of the flames licked her and sparks of electricity coursed through her duel disk.
Yuuna: 3400LP
She frowned, that damage felt… more pronounced. More real. She eyed the way that some of the Obelisk Blues were grinning and smirking, the memory of the Chaos Ancient gear Golem sending the red haired Gladiator Beast duelist flying played in her mind.
Were the Ancient Gear cards that they were using somehow specially printed to deal more realistic damage? She actually felt the heat of that fire, and a bead of swat fell from her head as her expression hardened.
So it was like this huh, they were dueling to inflict actual real pain and not just gusts of wind and sparks of electricity. She really should have known about this, they managed to destroy a whole city after all, they basically weaponized a card game.
And they were using children to do it, all while basically educating them to be cruel and sadistic based on the way that they were all smiling and grinning at seeing her wince from the damage.
“I’ll activate the spell, Fusion Conscription!” The boy said, placing the spell card and making a holographic copy of it appear on the field, shining. “This card lets me target one Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck and add 1 of the fusion materials listed on that card from your deck or graveyard to my hand, but it cannot be normal or special summoned. ”
She raised an eyebrow, remembering that Fusion COnscription supposedly has another effect where the monster added and monster’s with the same name can’t activate its effect.she never bothered to check the card’s anime effect since the actual game card sucks.
It was basically another copy of a specific fusion material, though since it can’t be normal or special summoned it was a worse Fusion Deployment. It was an old card so that was understandable why it was slow.
“I’ll reveal Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and add Ancient Gear Hunting Hound to my hand!” The Obelisk Blue student then showed another copy of the mechanical hound monster to his hand.
“And I’ll activate the other effect of Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” The duelist declared. “Once per turn, I can Fusion Summon one ‘Ancient Gear’ Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck using monsters from my hand or field as fusion materials!”
He showed the card in his hand, the card that he will use as the other material for the Fusion Summon. “I’ll fuse Ancient Gear Hunting Hound in my hand, and Ancient Gear Hunting Hound in my field!” The two identical monsters appeared on the field, each howling mechanical howls.
“Souls of hunting hounds residing in ancient machines! Become one and show your new power!” The boy clasped his hands and raised it, the two monsters turned to scrap and gears, being absorbed into a cyclone of orange and blue, fusing into one singular machine.
“Fusion Summon!” The duelist shouted, bringing his hands down. “Appear! Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” The monster appeared on his side of the field, its two heads howling an overlapping mechanical screech as it appeared on the field.
Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Fusion/Level 5/Effect: 1400/1000
“I’ll set two card, and end my turn.” The boy said, ending his turn with one card in hand and one Fusion Monster in the field and a two set cards. It was… incredibly underwhelming if she was being honest. Sure he did Fusion Summon in his first turn, which was apparently something that was quite amazing in this world, but wasn’t that the bare minimum for fusion focused decks?
“Then I’ll go, my turn. Draw.” She said, placing her hand on top of her duel disk and drew a card. She looked at the six cards that she has on hand, thinking of the moves that she could do and how to end this game as fast as possible. She doesn’t want to be late to class for the first day of the semester, again.
And first off she might as well try to assemble lethal. “I’ll start by summoning Chamber Dragonmaid.” Placing the monster card on her duel disk, the dark dress wearing humanoid duster wielding dragon appeared, her hair and horns shining in the light while her tail swayed.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dark/Dragon/Level 4/Effect: 500/1800
“Chamber’s effect, if she is normal or special summoned, I can add one ‘Dragonmaid’ spell or trap from my deck to my hand.” Explaining the card’s effect, and seeing no interaction, Droll was already released during this time after all, just not seeing any play, she showed the card that she would add to her hand with the monster’s effect.
“I’ll add the trap, Dragonmaid Downtime to my hand.” She said, adding the card to her hand and shuffling it. “Now I’ll activate the spell, Dragonmaid Hospitality, this card lets me special summon one ‘Dragonmaid’ from my hand or graveyard in defence position, then I can send on ‘Dragonmaid’ monster with the same attribute but with a different Level from my deck to the graveyard.”
She revealed the monster from her hand that she would special summon with the spell’s effect. “I’ll special summon Parlor Dragonmaid from my hand.” The Parlor Maid appeared on her field, holding the tray of food and a pot of steaming tea.
Parlor Dragonmaid - Wind/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
“And I’ll send Dragonmaid Lorpar from my deck to my graveyard.” Saying so, she milled the dragon form of the monster that she had summoned. “Now Parlor’s effect. If she’s normal or special summoned, I can send one ‘Dragonmaid’ card from my deck to the graveyard.”
She showed the card that she would mill with the effect of Parlor, I’ll send the spell, Dragonmaid Changeover from my deck to the graveyard, and activate its effects.” She declared, immediately activating the spell’s graveyard effect.
“While this card is in my graveyard, I can target one ‘Dragonmaid’ monster that I control, and add this card to my hand, then I can return that targeted monster to my hand.” She then pointed towards the dark dragon on her field. “I’ll return Chamber and add the spell to hand.”
The dark Dragonmaid performed a bow, returning to her hand and she added the fusion spell to her hand. And now of course, she activated it. “Now, I’ll activate Dragonmaid Changeover.” The picture of the spell then appeared before her, shining as she activated it.
“This card lets me Fusion Summon one Dragon Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck using monsters from my hand or field as fusion materials.” She said, and she showed the cards that she would use as the fusion material for the Fusion Summon.
“I’ll fuse Chamber Dragonmaid and Dragonmaid Tinkhec in my hand.” She set the two cards she designated as the prerequisite fusion material, and the two monsters appeared on her field. The dark maid dragon standing dignifiedly while the giant red dragon flying around her, turning into specks of light and combining into one singular Dragon.
“Fusion Summon!” She said, snapping her fingers, and finishing the Fusion Summon. “Appear! Dragonmaid Sheou!” The Dragon let out a majestic roar, as she flew around her before gliding down and floating slightly above the ground.
Dragonmaid Sheou - Light/Dragon/Level 10/Fusion/Effect: 3500/2000
“Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound’s effect!” The teen declared, activating the monster effect. “Once per turn, when a monster is normal or special summoned, on my opponent's side of the field, I can place one Gear Counter on that monster!”
Saying so, the two headed Fusion Monster howled, intending to put a strange but ultimately useless counter that was then placed onto her Fusion Monster. Well, it was useless after all, it was only able to what, be destroyed during battle? At the start of the damage step? That’s incredibly lackluster.
Should she negate it with Sheou? He only has one backrow, so she could still go lethal against him with House if it isn’t a battle trap. Bsedies, she still has Downtime in hand, she could still make do with House. “I’ll activate the effect of Sheou in response.” She said, activating the monster’s effect as an omni negate.
“When my opponent activates a card or effect, as a Quick Effect, I can negate the activation, and if I do, destroy that card.” The Fusion Monster then roared, negating the twin headed hunting hound’s effect, and destroying it. Reducing it into mere particles of light.
“After the effect resolves, Sheou returns to the Extra Deck, and if I do, I can special summon one House Dragonmaid from my Extra Deck.” With its effect resolved, the Light Dragon Fusion Monster turned into a humanoid shape, that being a classical Victorian Maid, wearing glasses and her black hair tied to a bun, her black and white tail scaled tail swinging from behind her.
House Dragonmaid - Light/Dragon/Level 9/Fusion/Effect: 3000/2000
“Now, battle.” She declared, moving onto the battle phase. With this much on field, she could at least put one of them out of the game, hopefully those set cards weren’t battle traps, though that is unlikely.
“I’ll activate the effect of Parlor Dragonmaid, at the start of the battle phase, I can return this card to the hand, and if I do, I can special summon one Level 8 ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my hand or graveyard.”
Saying so, she picked the monster that she would summon, choosing one of the two Level 8 Dragonmaid Dragons in her graveyard. “I’ll special summon Dragonmaid Lorpar in attack position.” Saying so, the Wind Dragon appeared on her field, her green scales as majestic as ever as she flew onto the sky.
Dragonmaid Lorpar - Wind/Dragon/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1700
“First off, I’ll attack with House Dragonmaid directly.” She said, pointing towards the boy whose Fusion Monster she had just negated. The maid dragon opened her incredibly sharp claws, and dashed towards her opponent.
The boy grinned, seemingly expecting that she would do so, and responded with one of the cards he had left on the field. “I’ll activate my face-down! The continuous trap, Dragon Capture Jar!”
He flipped his face-down card, revealing that it was indeed one of the anti-Dragon cards that were in the game. “While this card is face-up, I change all face-up Dragon type monsters on the field to defence position, and they cannot change their battle position!”
The maid dragon who was only a few feet from her attack target jumped back, standing beside her with both hands folded defensively, and Lorpar too, tucked her wings and stood on the ground instead of floating a few centimeters above, both of them turning into defence position.
“So that was your plan huh...” She said, letting out a loud sigh as she shook her head. She should have guessed that they would play something like that. Guess she’ll have to summon Borreload Furious or draw a backrow removal this game then, that or just activate the second effect of Downtime, she could always just do that.
“At the end of the battle phase, Looper’s effect activates.” She said, activating the Dragon’s tag effect. “I can return this card to my hand, and if I do, I can special summon one Level 3 ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my hand.”
She showed her target, the third monster that she has on hand. “I’ll special summon Kitchen Dragonmaid in defence position.” The green dragon then started to morph into a humanoid form, taking the form of the red haired kitchen maid, holding a whisk in one hand, and a bowl in the other.
Kitchen Dragonmaid - Fire/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
“Kitchen’s effect, if she’s normal or special summoned I can add one ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my deck to my hand except Kitchen, then send one ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my hand to the graveyard.” She explained the monster’s on summon effect as she showed the card that she would add.
“I’ll add Nurse Dragonmaid, and discard her.” She added the Earth Dragonmaid, and discarded her. Setting up the graveyard for the next turn to trigger House’s effect. “I’ll set two cards, and end my turn.”
She finished her turn with two monsters on her field, one being the house that was…. House. And the other being Kitchen who will be House’s standby effect target. Sitting behind two set cards, one being her spicy tech card, and the two cards in her hand being Parlor and Lorpar.
“Heh, my turn! I draw!” The second Obelisk Blue duelist started his turn, drawing his card for the turn and starting with six cards in hand. And as he moved onto the standby phase, she started the Dragonmaid advantage engine.
“On standby I’ll activate the effect of House Dragonmaid.” She said, activating the monster’s effect. “Once per turn, during the standby phase, I can target one other ‘Dragonmaid’ monster I control, and special summon one ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my hand or graveyard in defence position, whose Level is one higher or lower than it.”
Done with explaining the monster’s effect, she chose the target for the effect. “I’ll target the Level 3 Kitchen Dragonmaid, and special summon the Level 2 Nurse Dragonmaid in my graveyard in defence position. Maid Call!”
Saying so, the glasses wearing maid, raised her hands and clapped, and the nurse outfit wearing Dragonmaid appeared on her field. She fixed the position of her hat slightly, before tapping her clipboard as she did so.
Nurse Dragonmaid - Earth/Dragon/Level 2/Effect: 500/1600
“Now Nurse Dragonmaid’s effect activates.” She declared the monster’s on summon effect. “If she is normal or special summoned, I can target one Level 4 ‘Dragonmaid’ monster from my graveyard and special summon it.” She picked the one and only target in her grave.
“I’ll special summon Chamber Dragonmaid in defence position.” The dark dressed maid appeared with her feather duster, performing a bow as she appeared back in her field once more.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dark/Dragon/Level 4/Effect: 500/1800
“Chamber’s effect, if she’s normal or special summoned, I can add one ‘Dragonmaid’ spell or trap from my deck to my hand. I’ll add Dragonmaid Hospitality.” She then added the card to her end, and motioned for the Obelisk Blue duelist to continue his turn, already starting to plus with the engine.
The second Obelisk Blue student didn’t seem troubled after she summoned two monsters onto her field during his turn, and he continued his turn. “I’ll summon Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!”
The Obelisk Blue student summoned another copy of the mechanical hunting hound. It’s singular gear in its chest spinning as it let out a howl.
Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 3/Effect: 1000/1000
“Ancient Gear Hunting Hound’s effect! If this card is normal summoned, I can inflict 600 points of damage to my opponent!” And just like his friend, he then pointed towards her. “I’ll inflict the damage to you! Hound Flame!” He said, doing the exact same play as the one that came before him.
“And I’ll activate my set card!” The first Obelisk Blue duelist said, flipping up his other face-down card. “The continuous trap, Ancient Gear Booster!” He said the card’s name as it was flipped face-up, revealing that it was a burn card.
“Once per turn, if an ‘Ancient Gear’ card activates an effect that would inflict effect damage, that damage will be doubled!” He declared with a grin and points towards her. “So you will recieve 1200 damage!”
The mechanical hunting hound shot out flames from its maw, and shot out another flame from its maw, shooting a lick of fire towards her, reducing her Life Points by another 1200 points of burn.
Ah, so they really did run a burn strategy. If she knew that she would have used Speedburst Dragon as both a target for summoning Sheou and just as a body on field. “So it’s a burn strategy huh.” She muttered out loud as she winced as more sparks of electricity sparked through her duel disk, and she was hit with the flames of the mechanical machine once more. “Kuh!”

“Now I’ll activate the spell, Ancient Gear Double Imitate!” The second Obelisk Blue duelist said, activating the anime only in archetype double Monster Reborn. “This card lets me target up to two ‘Ancient Gear’ monsters in either player's graveyard, and special summon them onto my field, but their effects are negated!”
Explaining so, he then picked the two monsters that he would summon onto his field. “I’ll special summon two Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds from Toriko’s graveyard!” The boy then special summoned two exact copies of the monster that he has on field, each one of them letting out their mechanical howls.

Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 3/Effect: 1000/1000
She could technically use her tech option here, but she opted not to. After all, if she remembers correctly, the next Fusion Monster in the anime only Ancient Gear Fusion ladder sucks ass, and she was putting it lightly.
“Now I’ll activate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” The blue uniformed boy declared. “Once per turn, I can Fusion Summon one ‘Ancient Gear’ Fusion Monster using monsters that I have on field and in my hand!”
He then waved his hand towards the three monsters that he has on field. “I’ll fuse all three Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds that I have on field!” Declaring the fusion materials, all three Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds let out a cry as they floated towards the spiral of blue and orange.
He clasped his hands together, and brought them down. “Fusion Summon!” He said as the monsters on his field were turned into scraps and mechanical parts, combining into one singular Fusion Monster.
“Appear! Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” The monster let out a howl from its three heads, each howl’s mechanical sounds overlapping with one another, creating a dissonance that made her want to cover her ears.
Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 7/Fusion/Effect: 1800/1000
“Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, can attack three times!” The boy declared. “Battle! I’ll-”
“On the start of the battle phase, I’ll activate the continuous trap, Dragonmaid Downtime.” She declared, flipping up one of her set cards, revealing that it was the card that she had added with Chamber.
“Once per turn, I can return one ‘Dragonmaid’ monster that I control, and I’ll activate its first effect to add one ‘Dragonmaid’ card from my deck to my hand.” Declaring so, she chose her target.
“I’ll return Nurse Dragonmaid, and add Dragonmaid Ernus to my hand.” The nurse outfit wearing Dragonmaid then performed a bow, and returned to her hand, and she added the monster’s draconic counterpart to her hand.
“And now House Dragonmaid’s effect activates, when a face-up Dragon monster I control returns to my hand, I can target one monster you control and destroy it.” She and the glasses wearing maid dragon then extended their hands to the only monster on the field.
“I’ll destroy Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound.” With a snap of the Fusion Dragonmaid’s fingers, the three headed Ancient Gear Fusion Monster was then destroyed, leaving the boy with no monsters on field.
“What?!” He shouted as his only monster was destroyed. He growled, glaring at her.
“And in the start of the battle phase, I’ll activate the effect of Kitchen Dragonmaid and Chamber Dragonmaid.” She declared, activating their tag out effect. “Kitchen lets me tag out for a Level 8 Dragonmaid monster, while Chamber lets me tag out for a Level 7 or higher from my hand or graveyard.”
With that said, she then picked the two targets for their tag out effect. “I’ll tag out Kitchen for Dragonmaid Tinkhec from my graveyard, and Chamber will tag out for Dragonmaid Lorpar in my hand.”
The two Dragonmaid monsters then were engulfed in light, and they morphed into a more draconic form. Kitchen became a magnificent red and black dragon, while Chamber changed into a majestic green dragon. And both were turned to defence position immediately as they were summoned.
Dragonmaid Tinkhec - Fire/Dragon/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1700
Dragonmaid Lorpar - Wind/Dragon/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1700
Seeing as he has no monsters to attack in the battle phase, the Obelisk Blue boy ended his battle phase, and in doing so triggered her monster’s effect. “At the end of the battle phase, I’ll activate Tinkhec and Lorpar’s effect.”
She motioned towards the two Dragons on her field. “At the end of the battle phase, they can tag out to Level 3 ‘Dragonmaid’ monsters from my hand or graveyard.” She showed the two monster that she would tag out to, and activate their effects
“I’ll tag out Tinkhec for Kitchen, and Lorpar for Parlor.” The two dragons morphed into their humanoid form. Tinkhec returning into the kitchen maid that was Kitchen, while Lorpar turning into the parlor maid that was Parlor.
Kitchen Dragonmaid - Fire/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
Parlor Dragonmaid - Wind/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
“Kitchen’s and Parlor’s effect activates.” She said, activating the two monsters on summon effect. “Parlor will mill one ‘Dragonmaid’ card from my deck to the graveyard, I’ll send another Dragonmaid Ernus from my deck to my graveyard.”
Saying so, she milled the Level 7 Earth Dragon, and continued the chain of activation. “I’ll add another copy of Chamber Dragonmaid to my hand, and I’ll discard Chamber.” She said, discarding the monster to get a target for Nurse in the next turn.
This deck really does play on the opponent's turn. But then again, what deck doesn’t play on the opponent's turn? Tri-Brigade and their Revolt basically lets you plus to infinity and set the same play up again, and Flundereeze could Yata-lock someone with Raiza the Mega Monarch.
The Obelisk Blue boy took a step back, seemingly shocked at the plays that she had done. Did they not watch her many duels using this deck? They surely have, right? Wasn’t that viral or something? That’s certainly why they mained cards like Dragon Jar, so do they have something to out her recourse engine? “Che, I‘ll set two cards, and end my turn.” He then ended his turn with two set cards and two cards in hand.
“My turn! Draw!” Mei then started her turn, moving onto the standby and looking towards her and giving her a nod.
“Alright, on standby I’ll activate House’s effect. Targeting Kitchen and summoning Nurse from my hand. Maid Call.” The Light Fusion Monster clapped her hands, and the Earth Dragonmaid made her way on her field once again.
Nurse Dragonmaid - Earth/Dragon/Level 2/Effect: 500/1600
“Nurse’s effect. I’ll special summon Chamber from the graveyard.” The Dark Dragonmaid appeared on her field, swinging her feather duster as she did so.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dark/Dragon/Level 4/Effect: 500/1800
“Now Chamber’s effect, I’ll add my last copy of Dragonmaid Hospitality to my hand.” She said as she added the last copy of the spell card to her hand, and nodded towards Mei, letting her continue her turn.
“I’ll start by activating the spell, Terraforming!” Mei declared, activating the spell as her first play of the duel. “This card lets me add one field spell from my deck to my hand, and I’ll add the field spell, Union Hangar!” Saying so, the purple haired girl added the archetype's field spell.
“And now, I’ll activate the field spell, Union Hangar!” The girl placed the field spell on her duel disk, and changed the surroundings into a mechanical hangar, filled with pods of machines and technology.
“If this card is activated, I can add one Light Machine Union monster from my deck to my hand!” The girl declared as she showed the card that she would add for everyone to see. “I’ll add B-Buster Drake! And I’ll summon him!”
Mei placed the monster card on her duel disk, and the twin cannon carrying green and yellow mechanical drake appeared on her side of the field, its eyes shining an ominous red as let out a mechanical roar.
B-Buster Drake - Light/Machine/Level 4/Union/Effect: 1500/1800
“Now I'll activate Union hangar’s effect!” She declared, activating the field spell’s effect. “Once per turn. if a Light Machine Union Monster is normal or special summoned onto my field, I can target one of those monsters, and equip one appropriate Machine Union monster from my hand or deck to that monster, though the equipped Union Monster cannot special summoned this turn.” She said, explaining the card’s effect.
“I’ll target B-Buster Drake, and equip Union Driver to it!” The purple haired girl then equipped her chosen monster with the Level 5 Union Monster, making the futuristic car and its equally futuristic looking driver appear behind the green drake.
“Union Driver’s effect!” She declared going through her combo line. “While Union Driver is equipped to a monster, I can banish this equip card to equip one Level 4 or lower appropriate Union Monster from my deck to the monster this card was equipped to!”
She then took another card from her deck, and showed it. “I’ll equip C-Crush Wyvern from my deck to B-Buster Drake!” The futuristic car and its driver then vanished, and in its place was a purple mechanical wyvern, who equipped itself into the green drake, making it gain another pair of wings and a pair or missile launchers.
“And from my hand, I’ll activate the spell card, Polymerization!” She declared, placing the spell card on her duel disk and making a holographic projection of the card appear on her field, shining brightly.
“I’ll fuse Black Dragon Collapserpent in my hand with B-Buster Drake in my field!” The two monsters that she designated appeared on her field as she raised her hands, with the vortex of blue and orange, the grey and orange dragon with a black hole-like core roaring as did the green mechanical drake, equipped with the purple wyvern.
“Fusion Summon!” She shouted, bringing her hands down as the two monsters fused. “Appear! Panzer Dragon!” The mechanical combination of a machine and dragon then appeared on her side of the field, its shiny silvery coating shining under the sun and its maw opened revealing the cannon barrel it held, preparing to attack even though it only had a measly 1000 attack points.
Panzer Dragon - Light/Machine/Level 5/Fusion/Effect: 1000/2600
“C-Crush Wyvern’s and B-Buster Drake’s effect activates!” Mei declared, activating their effects in sequence as they were sent to the graveyard. “If B-Buster Drake is sent from the field to the graveyard, I can add one Union Monster from my deck to my hand!”
Explaining so, she added another card to her hand. “I’ll add A-Assault Core to my hand!” She said as she showed the card and shuffled it into her hand, and resolved the chain. “C-Crush Wyvern’s effect! If its sent from the field to the graveyard, I can special summon one Union Monster from my hand!”
“I’ll activate the continuous trap, Summon Limit!” The second Obelisk Blue duelist said, flipping his face-down card and revealing that it was a floodgate, grinning as he did so. “With this every player can only summon monsters twice per turn! ”
“Haha! Good job Arata!” The first Obelisk Blue duelist said, grinning towards his compatriot. “With this they won’t be able to do anything else!” He said as he then turned towards Mei, looking down at her with an annoying smirk.
Yeah, no. She's not going to let that slide. “I’ll activate the second effect of Dragonmaid Downtime!” She declared, activating the continuous trap’s other effect, making everyone in the clearing turn their gaze towards her.
“Meeting the same requirement of targeting and returning one Dragonmaid monster I control to my hand, I can then return one spell or trap that my opponent controls!” She then pointed towards the only floodgate in the field, making the eyes of the Obelisk Blue student who was filled with joy turn to one that was filled with shock.
“I’ll target Chamber, and return both her and Summon Limit!” Receiving no response from her opponent's other set card, the Dark Dragonmaid and the floodgate both returned to their owners hands, and with that the chain resolves, allowing Mei to summon her monster.
“Thank you, Yuuna!” Mei said, giving her a beaming smile, before turning towards the Obelisk Blue boy who had interrupted her turn and giving him a deadly cold stare. “I’ll special summon A-Assault Core in attack position.”
The scorpion-like machine then appeared on her field, its cannon tail pointed towards her opponent, charging with electricity, preparing to fire.
A-Assault Core - Light/Machine/Level 4/Union/Effect: 1900/200
“Now I’ll activate the quick-play spell, Unauthorized Reactivation!” The purple haired girl said, activating the quick-play spell, and making it shine on the field. “This card lets me target one Machine mMonster I control and equip one appropriate Machine Union Monster from my hand or deck, but the Union monster equipped cannot be special summon this turn!”
She then points towards the Machine Monster she had just summoned. “I’ll equip A-Assault Core with another copy of itself!” The scorpion-like machine shone, and another copy of itself then appeared behind it, looming menacingly.
“Now, I’ll banish the A-Assault Core that I control, along with B-Buster Drake and C-Crush Wyvern in my graveyard, to special summon ABC-Dragon Buster from my Extra Deck!” Declaring so, the three Union Monsters appeared on her field, and each interlocking with one another, and fusing.
The dreadful Fusion of the arguably best Union monsters then appeared on Mei’s side of the field, with A-Assault Core as the base of the monster, and B-Buster Drake and C-Crush Wyvern each combining with the scorpion based tank-like monster’s tail, the two headed monster with a pair of laser cannons and missile launchers released electricity, standing ever so menacingly.
ABC-Dragon Buster - Light/Machine/Fusion/Level 8/Effect: 3000/2800
“Now I’ll banish Black Dragon Collapserpent, and A-Assault Core from my graveyard, to special summon Chaos Daedalus!” The purple haired girl banished both the Light and Dark Monster from her graveyard, and special summoned the Chaos monster.
The dark purple Sea Serpent let out a roar as it appeared on her field, its extremely long body was floating in the air as if it was swimming in water, dark energy coming out of its golden fins, its maw opening to reveal its row of teeth.
Chaos Daedalus - Dark/Sea Serpent/Level 7/Effect: 2600/1500
“While there is a field spell, face-up on the field, none of you can target Light and Dark Monsters that I control with card effects.” She said, explaining the card’s on field protection effect.
“And now I’ll activate Daedalus’ effect! I can target cards on the field up to the number of face-up field spells on the field, and banish them!” The small girl then pointed towards the other face-down card on the Obelisk Blue’s field.
“I’ll banish your face-down card!” Mei declared, and with a roar, the Sea Serpent shot a blast of darkness from its maw, aiming to hit the boy’s one and only face-down and banish it and leave him open for lethal.
“Che, I’ll activate my trap card, Unfinished Ancient Gear!” The boy said, flipping up his face-down card, and revealing that it was a chainable trap card that would possibly protect him from being hit with lethal.
“This card lets me special summon one ‘Ancient Gear’ monster from my hand in defence position, ignoring its summoning condition, but its attack and defence is halved, and it cannot be destroyed by battle this turn!” He explained the card’s effect, and summoned the monster from his hand.
“I’ll special summon Ancient Gear Wyvern!” The boy said as the mechanical wyvern, the sound of its gears turning filling the field as it flew around, settling to hover next to its summoner's field.
Ancient Gear Wyvern - Earth/Machine/Level 4/Effect: 850/600
The chain resolves, and the trap card is banished. “Ancient Gear Wyvern’s effect! If this card is normal or special summoned, I can add one ‘Ancient Gear’ card from my deck to my hand, except a copy of Wyvern!”
He then chose the card that he would add to his hand. “I’ll add Ancient Gear Box! And Box’s effect activates! I can add one Earth Machine monster with 500 attack or defence, and I’ll add Ancient Gear Gadget!” The Obelisk Blue duelist said, adding two cards thanks to the summon of Wyvern.
Mei’s eyes narrowed, eyeing the only card that she had on her hand and to the monster that her opponent possessed. Possibly thinking about whether or not she should use the effect of ABC-Dragon Buster to banish the monster that couldn’t be destroyed by battle and attempt lethal.
But she opted not to, opting to move onto the battle phase. “Battle!” She declared, and glanced towards her, seeing if she would once more activate her recourse engine. And she will.
“I’ll activate the effect of Nurse Dragonmaid, Parlor Dragonmaid, and Kitchen Dragonmaid.” She said, declaring the activation of the three low Leveled Dragonmaid’s tag out effects. “I’ll tag out Nurse for Dragonmaid Ernus in my graveyard, Parlor for Dragonmaid Lorpar in my hand, and Kitchen for Dragonmaid Tinkhec in my hand as well.”
The three maid dragons that she had designated then morphed their bodies one after another, turning into their more draconic counterparts. Starting with Nurse who became a pink and white dragon with her signature nurse hat and curled horns, Parlor who turned into the green dragon with some decorative yellow scales, and Kitchen who turned into a majestic red and black dragon.
They all were in defence position of course, Dragon Capture Jar was still on the field after all.
Dragonmaid Ernus - Earth/Dragon/Level 7/Effect: 2600/1600
Dragonmaid Tinkhec- Fire/Dragon/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1700
Dragonmaid Lorpar - Wind/Dragon/Level 8/Effect: 2700/1700
Seeing that she was done with the tag out session, Mei then started her attack. “I’ll attack you,” she pointed towards the first Obelisk Blue student whose field possessed Dragon Capture Jar and Ancient Gear Spark Shot. “directly with ABC-Dragon Buster!”
The Union Fusion Monster roared, shooting its salvo from the two cannons on its body, and without anything that he could do to prevent it, the first Obelisk Blue boy received an incredible amount of damage.
“GAH!” He shouted as he received damage from the attack, making him put up his hands to attempt to protect himself from the solid hologram’s attack, and an incredible amount of electricity trickled through his duel disk.
Toriko Yome: 1000LP
“And I’ll attack you again with Panzer Dragon.” Mei declared, and the tank-like dragon shot out its attack with its mouth cannon, attacking and dealing lethal to the first Obelisk Blue duelist. Making his two continuous trap cards disappear from the field.
“GYAA!” He screamed as he was dealt lethal, reducing his Life Points to zero, and he was thrown back from the attack.
Toriko Yome: 0LP
“Toriko!” The third boy in the Obelisk Blue group that they were dueling shouted out his name, before glaring at mei with disdain. “You’ll pay for that!“ He shouted, gripping his fist forward as he said so.
Mei was not perturbed by the boy’s declaration, but focused on him as the target for her remaining monster’s attack. “Continuing the battle phase, I’ll attack you,” Mei pointed towards the boy, “with Chaos Daedalus!”
The Sea Serpent roared, rising and lengthening its neck to look down on the boy, and opening its mouth and harnessing a beam of darkness. Then it shot, shooting a beam of darkness towards the boy directly.
And he too, could not do anything as his field was empty. All he could do was to simply raise his hands in a defensive position as he was hit directly with the Sea Serpent's attack. “Guh!” He grunted as his Life Points was reduced from the attack.
Kasuku Kijima: 1400LP
Mei turned to her again, about to end the battle phase, and she performed another tag out with the full draconic forms of the Dragonmaids on her field. “I’ll activate the effect of Ernus, Lorpar, and Kitchen in the end of the battle phase, tagging each and everyone of them for their counterparts.”
The three Dragons then all let out a roar, before morphing back to their humanoid, each wearing their respective maid outfits, or nurse outfit in the case of Nurse, and settled back on her field in defence position.
Nurse Dragonmaid - Earth/Dragon/Level 2/Effect: 500/1600
Kitchen Dragonmaid - Fire/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
Parlor Dragonmaid - Wind/Dragon/Level 3/Effect: 500/1700
“And I’ll activate the effects of Parlor and Kitchen in that exact chain.” She said, chaining their effects so that it would actually work in the way that she wants it. Though she can’t activate Nurse’s on summon effect since she has already activated that this turn.
“First to resolve in the chain is Kitchen, I’ll add another Parlor Dragonmaid to my hand, and discard Chamber.” She added another copy of the parlor maid dragon, and discarded a copy of Chamber to use for later.
“And with Parlor, I’ll send another Dragonmaid Tinkhec from my deck to the graveyard.” Saying so, she milled what was basically the last high Level Main Deck Dragonmaid Monster that she played.
“I’ll end my turn.” Mei then ended her turn, sitting behind two Fusion Monsters in Panzer Dragon and ABC-Buster Dragon and Chaos Daedalus who makes all of those monster untargetable by card effects as long as Union Hangar, or a field spell for that matter, was on the field, and with one card in hand.
“You-! My turn!” The third duelist declared. “I draw!” He drew a card, and started his turn after receiving an incredible amount of damage, perhaps intending to combo and summon the next monster on the Ancient Gear Fusion ladder, it's the Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound next right? The one that can halve the opponent's Life Points.
Well, not like she would let him do anything like that though. “On standby, I’ll activate the effect of House Dragonmaid.” She declared, using the Fusion Dragonmaid’s revival effect for the nth time in those long duel.
“I’ll target the Level 3 Kitchen, and special summon the Level 4 Chamber from my graveyard. Maid Call!” With a clap of her hand, the House Maid re-summoned the Chamber Dragonmaid from her graveyard, and the duster wielding maid performed a curtsy.
Chamber Dragonmaid - Dark/Dragon/Level 4/Effect: 500/1800
“And with Chamber’s on summon effect, I’ll add the trap, Dragonmaid Tidying to my hand.” She said, adding the trap card to her hand, and it seems that by the end of the next turn, she’ll run out of targets for it.
“Kuh! To think that they were actually this strong-!” The girl grunted. “I’ll activate the spell, Ancient Gear Double Imitate!” She said, activating the spell card that they all seemed to have started with in their hands. She calls bull really, did their duel disk shuffle the cards correctly? Were they perhaps stacking!?
“I’ll target Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and Ancient Gear Hunting Hound from Kasuku’s graveyard!” Saying so, the two monsters appeared, one being the dark green triple headed Ancient gear monster, while the other being the typical green mechanical hunting hound.

Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 3/Effect: 1000/1000
Those were the materials required so she might as well. “I’ll activate the effect of Dragonmaid Downtime!” She declared, activating the continuous trap once again. “I’ll target Kitchen and activate its first effect, returning her to hand and adding the third copy of Chamber!”
The Fire Dragonmaid then bowed, with her bowl and whisk still in hand, and disappeared from the field, and she added the third, and last, copy of Chamber Dragonmaid. “And House’s effect activates, I’ll target Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound and destroy it.”
The Light Fusion Dragomaid then snapped her fingers, and the three headed mechanical monster was then destroyed once again, making the Obelisk Blue girl raise her hand in defence from the monster’s explosion.
“Kuh! But that’s useless!” The girl said as she lowered her arm, and showed them all a card. “I’ll activate the spell, Ancient Gear Scrap Fusion!” She said, placing the card that she didn’t know about and activating it.
Another anime only card? And it's a fusion spell too. Judging from its name, could it be a Miracle Fusion for the archetype? “This card lets me Fusion Summon one ‘Ancient Gear’ Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck using monsters from the graveyard as Fusion Materials! But it’s effects are negated!”
Huh, so it is a Miracle Fusion, but worse. Neat. “I’ll fuse Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound and Ancient Gear Hunting Hound from Toriko’s graveyard!” She declared the fusion materials, those being the two monsters in her fallen comrade’s graveyard, and they appeared on her field briefly, howling before being absorbed by the vortex of blue and green.
“Fusion Summon!” He shouted as he brought down her hands. “Appear! Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” The newly formed tri-headed machine let out their howls, appearing on the field once more.

Mei gave her a look, perhaps, searching for confirmation whether or not she should use the effect of ABC-Dragon Buster and banish the newly summoned monster, but she shook her head.
The stage was set, she’ll use her tech option now. “I’ll activate my set card!” She shouted, as she raised her hand, making the duelists on the clearing snap their heads towards her. “Super Polymerization!”
Flipping the face-down revealed that it was the infamous Spell Speed 4 quick-play spell. One that was infamous for its board breaking capabilities, like the one that she was using now for specifically this matchup against Obelisk Blues who she knew had no variety whatsoever.
“S-Super Polymerization!?” The downed boy shouted in shock at seeing her use the card. “You-you also have that legendary card?!” He shouted once again with eyes as wide as dinner plates, seemingly in disbelief.
“It was incredibly hard to get, but I at least have one copy.” She said with a smile, remembering that she had to win an entire tournament to actually get it. “This card lets me discard one card and Fusion Summon one Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck using monsters from either field as materials, and neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card’s activation!”
“It’s Spell Speed 4!” Mei said excitedly with glimmering eyes. “It’s the first time I’ve actually seen it being played!”
She grinned at her purple haired disciple, then pointed at her targets, the three monsters on her opponents’ field. “I’ll fuse Ancient Gear Wyvern, Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!”
Lightning sprouted from her card, striking the three designated targets, all from her opponents fields, and they were then fused into one singular monster who she sided in for this exact matchup.
She brought her hand down, and completed the Fusion Summon. “Fusion Summon! Appear! Ancient Gear Megaton Golem!” The six armed and four legged gigantic golem then filled the last empty position on her field. Its silver body gleaming under the sunlight as its red eyes shone.
Ancient Gear Megaton Golem - Earth/Machine/Level 9/Fusion/Effect: 3300/3300
“M-Megaton… Golem...” The boy said, looking at the pure mass of silver steel and gears in the form of her newly summoned Fusion Monster in awe. “And to summon it on my turn using our monsters-!”
Yep, she was siding Megaton Ancient Gear Golem. It wasn’t like her Extra Deck was tight or anything. If anything the only monsters that she could feasibly summon from there was of course House, Sheou, and Furious, along with her Plan B of Dragon’s Mirror, Five-Headed Dragon that she would never ever summon because she genuinely has better targets.
The other cards that filled her Extra Deck were her Super Poly targets, which pretty much consists of only Mudragon of the Swamp, a card that could easily be summoned no matter what the matchup up with her deck if she wasn’t facing Dragons. Except for water that is, she doesn’t run Laundry after all.
She actually wanted to have more Super Poly targets of course, Predaplant Dragostapelia would actually be perfect in this format since it requires Fusion Monsters as material, and in the literal Fusion Dimension, everyone was using that. It is basically quick-play negation, so hopefully she’ll get the card one day
“I-I’ll-” The last Obelisk Blue boy seemed to stutter for a bit. His eyes moving back and forth at the card in his hand, and back to the already established field that she and Mei have.
“D-don’t give up Kasuku!” The downed boy said, lifting himself up from the ground. “You-you can definitely beat them! If you manage to summon that card!”
Hearing that, the boy’s eyes widened and he checked the cards in his hand. It was then that his eyes hardened, and he then nodded. “You’re right! We can still win this!” Saying so, he then pulled a card from his hand, and played it.
“I’ll normal summon Ancient Gear Wyvern!” The boy slapped the card onto his duel disk, and a mechanical wyvern appeared on his side of the field, its metal wings flapping as it flew over the field.
Ancient Gear Wyvern - Earth/Machine/Level 4/Effect: 1700/1200
“Ancient Gear Wyvern’s effect! It allows me to add one ‘Ancient Gear’ card from my deck to my hand but I can’t set cards for the red of the turn! I’ll add the spell, Chaos Ancient Gear Fusion! But ” He said, adding another fusion spell that she didn't know about to his hand.
“Now I’ll activate the spell, Extra Foolish Burial!” The boy said, activating another card from his hand. “By paying half my Life Points, this card lets me send one monster from my Extra Deck to the graveyard!”
“Kuh!” The boy grunted as he paid half of his remaining Life Points, electricity running from his duel disk and making him wince, reducing it to under 1000, and putting him under burn range. Though she was pretty sure none of them were playing burn.

“I’ll send Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound to the graveyard!” The boy sent the final evolution in the Ancient Gear Fusion line. She wondered what she was up to, was that fusion spell he added a better Miracle Fusion? Why would they be running two types then?
“Now I’ll activate it! The spell, Chaos Ancient Gear Fusion!” He said, activating the fusion spell. Oh great, another anime only card that she doesn’t know about, this’ll be an answer for her question. What does it do this time?
“This card lets me send one ‘Polymerization’ from my hand to the graveyard, and reveal one ‘Ancient Gear’ Fusion monster in my Extra Deck, then banish a number of monsters from the graveyard that were from the Extra Deck equal to its number of fusion materials, and if I do, I can special summon its fusion materials from the Deck, Extra Deck, or graveyard ignoring their summoning conditions. Then I can Fusion Summon the chosen Fusion Monster using the summoned monsters as the fusion materials!”
With a determined look, he showed the card that he would Fusion Summon with the spell and paid the cost. “I’ll send Polymerization from my hand to the graveyard, and I’ll reveal Chaos Ancient Gear Giant! And I’ll banish Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, two Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!”
He banished four monsters from their combined graveyards, making her realise that the first in archetype Miracle Fusion that negates the effect of the summoned monster does not banish the materials, which she calls bull, and then summoned the materials that he would need for the Fusion Summon.
“I’ll special summon ANcient Gear Hunting Hound, Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, and Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!” He raised his hands, and the four monsters appeared on his field, each and everyone of them letting out a howl as they appeared.
Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 3/Effect: 1000/1000

Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 7/Fusion/Effect: 1800/1000
Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound - Earth/Machine/Level 9/Fusion/Effect: 2800/2000
“Now I’ll fuse them all!”The boy clasped both of his hands, and raised it upwards. “O souls of hunting hounds residing in ancient machines! With your ten heads, combine and show your great power!” The monsters on his field then fused with one another, their gears and machinery becoming one singular monster.
“Fusion summon!” He shouted, slamming his hands down, and finishing his fusion chant. “Appear! The strongest God of Destruction! Chaos Ancient Gear Giant!” The dark giant loomed over the field, standing even higher than her own Megaton Golem, and stared down at Mei, Serena, and herself.
Chaos Ancient Gear Giant - Dark/Machine/Fusion/Level 10/Effect: 4500/3000
“You did it! Kasuku!” The still unharmed Obelisk Blue said with a grin. “With this we can win! We can easily win from here! Chaos Ancient Gear Giant is unaffected by spells and traps, and they won’t be able to activate monster effects in the battle phase! There’s no way they can beat it!”
“I’ll activate the effect of ABC-Dragon Buster!” Mei said, activating her Fusion Monster's effect. “As a quick-effect, I can discard one card and banish one card on the field and banish it!”
She then targeted the one and only monster on their opponents field. “I’ll target Chaos Ancient Gear Giant, and banish it!” The twin headed machine then roared a mechanical roar, and shot beams of light from its twin cannons towards the gigantic dark purple giant of chaos.
The attack of course hits as there was no response from their opponent, and the monster was then banished, removing their opponents one and only chance at possibly winning this game.
“N-no way...” The boy said, falling to his knees in despair with wide fearful eyes. “The ultimate monster- that Chaos Ancient Gear Giant was defeated so easily-” The boy then hung his head down. “I-I’ll end my turn...”
“Then its my turn! Draw!” The turn then changed, and Serena started her turn, and turned towards her, who waved her hand and giving her a go ahead, she’s out of materials to add at this point. “I’ll end this quickly, I’ll summon Lunalight Emerald Bird!”
The winged Lunalight monster appeared on her field. Dancing around as she appeared on her field, her golden moon shaped mask covering the right side of her face, and her feathers rustling as she danced.
Lunalight Emerald Bird - Dark/Beast-Warrior/Level 4/Effect: 1200/1000
“Now Emerald Bird’s effect, when this card is normal or special summoned, I can discard one ‘Lunalight’ monster from my hand, and draw one card!” She then showed the card that she would discard.
“I will discard Lunalight Yellow Marten, and draw one card!” Serena discarded the monster card, and drew another card from her deck. “And Yellow Marten’s effect activates! If this card is sent to the graveyard by a card effect, I can add one ‘Lunalight’ spell or trap from my deck to my hand!”
The indigo haired girl then revealed the card that she would add to her hand, a card that she would possibly use to end the game. “I’ll add the spell, Lunalight Fusion to my hand!” Serena said as she added the archetypal fusion spell.
“Now I’ll activate the effect of Lunalight Yellow Marten in my graveyard! If this card is in my hand or graveyard, I can target one ‘Lunalight’ card I control, except Yellow Marten, and return it to my hand! Then I can special summon this card in defence position, but she’s banished when she leaves the field!” She explained the monster’s recursion effect, and pointed towards her target.
“I’ll return Emerald Bird to my hand, and special summon Yellow Marten!” The winged Lunalight monster returned to her hand, and the fluffy tailed marten appeared on Serena’s field.
Lunalight Yellow Marten - Dark/Beast-Warrior/Level 4/Effect: 800/2000
“And now I’ll activate the spell, Lunalight Fusion!” The indigo haired girl declared, activating the fusion spell that she added from Yellow Marten’s effect. “This card lets me Fusion Summon one ‘Lunalight’ Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck using monsters from my hand or field as fusion materials! And if my opponent controls a monster that was special summoned from the Extra Deck, I can also use one ‘Lunalight’ monster in my deck or Extra Deck!”
She then revealed the cards that she would use as her fusion materials, each a card from her hand, field, and Extra Deck. “Since Yuuna and Mei have monsters summoned from the Extra Deck, I can use ‘Lunalight’ monsters from my deck or Extra Deck as materials! So I’ll use Lunalight Panther Dancer from my Extra Deck, Lunalight Purple Butterfly from my hand, and Lunalight Yellow Marten in my field!”
The three monsters appeared on her field, the black haired Fusion Monster stood in the middle, flanked by the purple butterfly and the yellow marten, Serena clasped her hands and raised it.
“Wildest beast dancing under the moonlight! Purple poisonous butterfly! Together with the yellow marten, combine in the vortex of power and show your new power!” The three monsters then fused, combining into a single Fusion Monster, Lunalight’s signature Boss Monster at that.
“Fusion Summon!” Serena shouted as she brought her hands down, finishing the fusion chant and summoning her Ace Monster. “Appear! King of wild beasts dancing under the moonlight! Lunalight Leo Dancer!”
The white haired Fusion Monster appeared fully masked by an orange moon-based mask, before it shattered, revealing her crimson iris and yellow pupil, along with yellow marks on her hair, shaped in a crescent. And her shattered mask reformed into a crescent shaped hair decoration, and danced around with her crimson side skirt fluttering.

“Purple Butterfly’s effect! I can banish this card from my graveyard, and special summon one ‘Lunalight’ monster from my hand!” Serena then revealed the card she would special summon. “I’ll special summon Lunalight Blue Cat!”
The blue haired cat Beast-Warrior appeared on her field. Dancing around her field as she does so. The left side of her face was covered by Lunalight’s signature crescent shaped orange mask.
Lunalight Blue Cat - Dark/Beast-Warrior/Level 4/Effect: 1600/1200
“Lunalight Blue Cat’s effect! I can target one ‘Lunalight’ monster I control except Lunalight Blue Cat, it’s attack becomes double its original attack until the end of this turn!” The indigo haired girl then chose her only target.
“I’ll choose Lunalight Leo Dancer! And double her attack!” The blue cat danced around the sword wielding Fusion Monster, who raised her sword as her body glowed a blinding gold, a signal that her attack was raised.
Lunalight Leo Dancer - Dark/Beast-Warrior/Level 10/Fusion/Effect: 7000/3000
“7-7000 attack!?” The second Obelisk Blue duelist shouted in disbelief.
“Battle! Since Lunalight Leo Dancer can attack twice in each battle phase, I’ll attack you both directly!” The lion based Fusion Monster twirled her sword, and swung. Attacking both remaining Obelisk Blue duelist and dealing way over lethal.
“GUAAH!” “GYAAAH!” Both Obelisk Blue duelists were thrown from the field, blown away from the Fusion Monster’s blow, and electricity flowed from their duel disk as their Life Points reached zero.
Arata Suou: 0LP
Kasuku Kijima: 0LP
With the duel finished, the monsters on the field disappeared. They all then turned off all their duel disk, making their sword projection dissipate. She saw that all of the Obelisk Blues were all silent, watching them with wide fearful eyes, the same eyes that she had seen after she beat the Ra Yellow three.
“N-no way! Arata, Kasuku, and even Toriko was-”
“I-I thought that their decks were made to counter theirs?! How could they possibly lose?!”
“It’s a fluke! It’s definitely a fluke!”
She ignored the words from the Obelisk Blues in the crowds. “Well, that was a duel I guess.” She said, looking at her duel disk to check the time. It wasn’t really interesting really, though she did manage to see some interesting cards like the two fusion spells that she’d never seen before, but most of them were just generically bad.
Just running Ancient Gear Fusion and Ancient Gear Golem would have been better, even if the latter was a hard garnet at times. It can use main deck Ancient Gear monsters as materials after all.
“Ah, shoot! It’s almost time for class!” Turning to the two girls beside her, she then grabbed their hands and dragged them to class. “Bye then! I don’t care what else you all do after this, but you all should also head to your class okay!”
She then left the clearing, right after giving a generally good advice to attend class. It’s important, you know. If you don’t fill your attendance then you could repeat a year you know? Or even possibly get expelled! This might be a dueling school, but it’s still a school after all.
She checked her duel disk, checking how much DP that she got from that match and tries to compare it to the amount that she usually gets from farming Red Hats. oh, its a bit more, but then again she was basically dueling three people at once.
But the amount of time that was wasted to beat the three wasn’t really that good, and she basically did have to play through three setups, or interact through three set ups, and in her Free Duel she could use her Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika deck.
Yeah she’s not doing any more battle royal anytime soon. They’re time consuming and weren’t really worth it.
-
They made it to class just in time thankfully. And they managed to not be late on their first day, again. Which was an accomplishment for her.
The teacher’s gaze went over all of them. “Today we’ll have a new transfer student with us.” He said before turning towards the door. “Enter.” The man said, and the door was then opened, and the transfer student entered.
It was a boy, and he had purple eyes, and short, thick, pink eyebrows, extremely anime if she was being honest. What was more anime however, was his hair and how it was two-toned, being uniformly violet with pink underneath, and his fringes extending to frame his face, with two pointing upwards.
And just like everyone in the class, he wore non uniform clothes, his being a purple-colored long-sleeved shirt with a pocket on the left side of the chest, orange-colored buttons and black-colored collar, white pants and brown shoes.
“My name is Yuri.” The boy said with a strange smile that doesn’t reach his ears and eyes that looked bored as he looked over all of the students in the class. “And I do hope that we get along.”
