Listening to their encouragement and Felix's guidance, I close my eyes and focus to gather the explosive strength in my legs. A moment later I feel a feral impulse and scream out which sounds more like a roar. feeling my hand and feet change into paws, the strange sensation that accompanied the change travels through my body. Ignoring it I just keep pushing harder and harder to go faster.
For who knows how long a strange silence falls during which I'm lost in my own world where I simply try to push myself past the limit time and time again.
The silence is eventually broken by Zhloe "Leone, you can stop"
Rapidly blinking I slowly manage to pull my consciousness back into reality and turn my head towards her with a curious gaze on my face causing her to point to the console "It can't keep up"
Realizing I'm indeed getting closer to the end of the belt, I slightly slow down before holding that speed effortlessly.
Meanwhile Felix chuckles "I knew it, such strong instinct… Zhloe how fast is she going?"
Silence follows.
"Zhloe?"
Looking up with a hint of fear and uncertainty in her eyes, she gazes at him before turning towards me. "No wonder I can't track your legs anymore…"
Happy seems to be somewhat impatient and grabs Zhloe by her shoulders before shaking her around "Surface to Zhloe! Tell us, how fast is she going?"
With an uncertain smile Zhloe looks back at the two. "Well… the machine is limited at forty-five meters per second, so that'd roughly be a hundred sixty to sixty-five kilometers an hour"
Shocked by her words I freeze for a moment, yet that moment is enough to launch me off the treadmill. Crashing into the wall and nearly breaking through. "Ow…"
An awkward silence follows after which Felix bursts into laughter "Just ow?"
Groaning softly I try to sit up but have to wrestle myself loose from something before I can get up. "Leone…?" Finally standing I look at Zhloe who seems to be trembling.
"A-Are you okay?"
Slowly nodding I turn my head "Yeah, why?"
Happy quickly walks towards me and strokes a finger along my arm before gasping "She's healed already!"
"Healed? What?" Looking down at my arm I get the shock of a lifetime as it's covered in dust and blood.
"L-Leone?"
Zhloe's alarmed voice pulls me back from my shock making me look up "Yes?"
She then walks towards me and snaps her fingers at certain places next to my face. Suddenly I feel strangely disconnected from my body.
"STOP IT ALREADY!"
In response to those words coming out of my body yet not from me, everyone turns pale while fear begins to eat away at me. "L-Leone?"
"It's Mistress Leone for you young lady"
[WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WHY AM I NOT IN CONTROL OF MY BODY?!]
My body suddenly chuckles "Ah… Such a strong and pure soul"
Everyone, including I myself are in a state of shock.
"Worry not young ones, I'm not here to harm you. I do however wonder what summoned me here"
Zhloe still pale from shock gazes my way and stutters "G-Goddess L-Leone?"
Nodding without being in control causes my fright to grow out of control. "Yes, but do not be alarmed. Neither you, nor the soul owning this body is in any danger, she's still present and awake."
With a worried expression Happy steps towards me "So Leone is alright?"
Surprisingly when I try to nod, my body responds like normal.
"She is, at this time both she and I are present and in control"
Zhloe seems to have turned even paler as she collapses onto her knees "T-The legend.. it's TRUE?!"
Curious the goddess tilts my head "What legend do you speak of girl?"
Clearly still in confusion about the entire situation she looks up "T-The legend that a perfect balance of Animus enables a God to manifest"
My body nearly folds in half from laughter and the Goddess keeps laughing for about a minute before wiping my finger past my eyes. "Hah! Now that's a good one! If I recall right this Animus you speak of is the word given to the latent potential on mortals? If that's the case, it's not just the balance it's the amount of Animus one possesses"

Once again shocked beyond belief Zhloe's eyes widen "Amount?"
Suppressing a chuckle the Goddess nods "Yes each and every being has different amounts of latent potential, even those born among those you call Gods. In case of reincarnation or possession the balance merely determines your compatibility, yet you still need sufficient strength to host another soul. But for now I shall have to withdraw, most of my memories have returned and I now realize I was awoken to protect my hostess's body, yet despite healed she will be unable to handle two active souls at once."
Suddenly silence follows and while my body is once again under my full control so too have my senses returned. An overwhelming exhaustion hits like a sledgehammer and after feeling that strange sensation once again travel through my body, I collapse onto my knees.
Wasting but a moment, Zhloe immediately leaps towards me "Leone you there?!"
Groaning softly I fall on my side yet try to nod while looking up. "H-Headache…"
Vaguely Felix appears into view before he carefully lifts me up "Looking at her complexion and smell she merely seems to be exhausted"
Seriously nodding Zhloe motions to follow her "Felix, Happy, please follow me to the analysis room"
Confused I gaze towards her "What… just happened?"
All three of them shake their heads and it's Happy who replies "We're not exactly sure either…"
Suddenly the strange feeling of distance returns in a less severe manner before I lose control over my mouth. "To keep it short, I am a fragment of myself that has remained after my death and took refuge in this girl."
Frowning I reply out loud as if the Goddess is walking among us instead of being in my body. "So you'rre a Goddess?"
Laughing she replies "Now that's adorable, but yes. I am a fragment of the old Goddess of War, Leone"
Feeling incredibly weak I can't do much besides gasping while she's in control causing her to reply with a chuckle.
"Rest young one, I shall stop talking and so should you"
Just a moment after my senses return Zhloe gently tickles my ear "You heard her deary, try to rest"
Slowly nodding I lean my head against Felix's chest who in turn looks at Zhloe. "How old is she actually?"
Softly sighing Zhloe shakes her head before looking back up "Nineteen, yet her treatment lasted five years"
As if he walked into a wall Felix freezes on the spot "WHAT?! FIVE YEARS?!"
Zhloe gives him a stern nod "Yes and she seems to have acclimated even more in the last three days she spent inside. But please keep this quiet"
For a moment he falls silent "To think it only took three weeks for me…"
A strange silence falls while we continue through the halls when I suddenly feel the strange sensation again and realize my body is changing.
Hearing Zhloe ask something I simply smile "No idea… exhausted"
Felix chuckles "When I get tired it happens quite often that my instincts take over. Don't think it's a big issue."
Smiling Zhloe points towards my hands "Just mind the nails, they might be poisoned and I doubt even your unnatural physique can handle poison"
With a nervous chuckle he quickly moves his hand back away from my claw. "Thanks for the warning, I don't really want to put that claim to the test"
Happy in turn softly strokes my ear while a faint frown forms on her face "So that was the crisis they mentioned?"
Softly sighing Zhloe remains silent for a while before replying "Yes. Having woken up from her transformation in basically a new body and world, having forgotten most of who she was… The sudden reality and resulting confusion became too much. The other details you can probably find in the report."
After yawning I sigh softly "Still is… but… you help… Alliance, city-state or Legion… see laterr"
Giggling Happy once again tickles my ear "The Goddess was right, it really is adorable"
Trying to frown I slowly shake my head "I… do not…"
My reply only makes her giggle louder and the other two to join in.
"As I said she's still getting used to the change"
Widely yawning while Felix looks at me causes him to smirk "Fangs too huh? I kind of wonder how strong she actually is"
Softly groaning Happy shakes her head "After today… Let's wait a while before testing that"
Once again failing to suppress a yawn I feel my head bob and lean back against Felix. "Pwease no"
In return I hear a giggle yet I'm unable to figure out who it came from, with my eyelids getting heavy it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep in Felix's arms.
