"Young one, can you hear me?"

Oddly weak I moan softly "Leone…?"

"Yes it's me. Don't worry about the feeling of exhaustion or about others hearing us, right now you're still asleep and we're in your subconscious"

Hearing her words I immediately try to open my eyes yet to my surprise I'm in a strange monochrome yet blue hued space. The floor is made out of large two square meter panels of a white material without any texture or detail. There aren't any walls within view, the horizon just ends in a strange blueish gray mist. Yet in the middle of the room stands a black stone throne detailed with multiple carved weapon shapes, from swords to axes.

Confused I can't help but spin around "W-Where am I?"

Suddenly a relatively tall woman with short unkempt pitch black hair, incredibly pale skin, cat features similar to mine and golden faintly glowing eyes appears next to the throne. While she sits down on the throne a gentle smile appears on her face as she inspects me from top to toe. "I created an image of that which I remember of my own throne within your consciousness. As for the lack of detail… You can probably see there isn't a whole lot I remember."

Suddenly she exults "Tell me young one, aren't you scared?"

Curious I turn my head "About?"

Smugly she crosses her legs and looks down towards me. "Of me for starters. About your situation, the fact we're standing face to face in your own mind?"

Dubious I shrug while shaking my head "Scared? Nah. I mean sure it's a bit daunting to see a Goddess sitting before me and you definitely look as if you could squash me like I'd squash an ant. Yet I somehow feel comfort while looking at you. As for my situation, what's there to be scared about? I'm incredibly confused and I worry about my future, but it isn't that I'm scared."

Holding my chin I turn my head before lowering my hand and looking at the endless mist above my head "Kind of strange actually, I barely remember a thing from before my treatment, yet the emotions seem to be engraved into my soul. I experienced a lot of worry a lot of fear and even a lot of pain. Yet right now, there isn't a trace of those feelings. But I guess compared to all the other things happening to me, it's just a minor occurrence. It's all new to me, my body has changed, my personality has changed and then there's you a Goddess within my body"

Proudly chuckling she shakes her head "You actually don't have a Goddess within you"

Baffled I gaze at her with my mouth slightly open from surprise "I… don't?"

Smiling at my expression she points towards me "You ARE the Goddess now. I'm but a fragment left of my former self transmitting my presence through you. Sure I can talk and use your body for minor things, but you are the new me, the new Leone, the new Warrior Goddess."

In silence I stare into her fierce yet serene golden eyes.

"You're confused?"

I nod which in turn makes her chuckle softly. "You see, I indeed am Leone the Warrior Goddess, but I'm corporeal now. I've died, I can't come back, I can't interfere with the world. Through the treatment you have inherited the fragment of my soul that was wandering through space. Inheriting my powers and my looks."

Still fixated on her eyes I shake my head "Your eyes are different though"

Smirking she in turns shakes her head as well "Not anymore they aren't"

Groaning at the realization I'm still changing I cover my face with my palms "How much more will I end up changing?"

Chuckling she shrugs "Hell should I know? All I know is that you will inherit all my powers and features, yet because you've been born of a different race than I, it seems the animus has compromised in a way and given you the ability to change at will between your human form and mine."

Trying to make sense of her words I rack my brain but in the end I can't figure out what she means "I can't say I understand what you mean"

A kind smile remains on her face while she changes which leg rests on the other. "I guess you could sort of look at it as a human 'form' and a 'Godly' form. A bit like that weird animated show you humans were so obsessed about. Something with special balls and fighting. But I digress. In your changed 'form' your paws and claws form, your fur appears and your speed greatly increases"

Stunned my mouth falls open "The what appears now? I-I have fur?"

With a faint nod she replies "You felt the sensation spread through your body no?"

Incredibly confused I nod

Smiling she stands up before walking towards me "That was my racial power spreading through you. Now go young cub, grow stronger, become my successor. I know you will make me proud to be your ancestor."

She places her hand on my head while a motherly smile appears on her face bringing us both to tears. I want to talk but she shakes her head and holds up her hand before squeezing my ear with the other.

"Until we meet again"

After those words, she, the throne and the entire space fades away before I'm suddenly wide awake and staring at a ceiling made from white composite panels.

"Wherre… am I?"

Sitting up I look around only to realize I'm in the bed of my new room. "Oh, new room, right"

With a wide yawn I sit up and rub my eyes only to notice I still have paws instead of hands. Huh? With a shrug I stretch "Oh well they're there no-" Another yawn breaks up my sentence. Feeling a faint itch in my eye, I quickly groom my paw and wash my face.

Moments later I let myself fall backwards and roll off the bed landing on all fours. With a soft giggle I slowly head towards the living room.

Opening the door Danny's voice immediately follows "Leone?"

Giggling I raise my arm before waving "On hand and feet"

Softly chuckling he shakes his head while smiling "Make yourself comfortable, you can be yourself here"

Hopping onto the couch I look around and greet him with a smile once I see him behind the desk "How long did I sleep?"

Focused on the keyboard in front of him, a smile forms on his face "About five hours, Zhloe is currently napping as she has the evening shift"

"Ah okay" Suppressing a yawn, I begin to groom my paws before washing my ears and face.

"How did you sleep?"

Slightly confused I shake my head "I'm honestly not too sure… Still a bit confused"

Hearing my words he looks up with a kind smile "Then just take your time to wake up, I've heard about what happened at the gym. So if you need to talk about it, feel free"

Replying with a nod and smile, I drop myself on my back and continue grooming my paws.

"Getting used to being a cat?"

Suddenly hearing a familiar voice I look up only to see Felix coming out of the kitchen. "Oh… hey, didn't know you were here"

Blushing slightly makes him smile. "Don't worry I was silent, and don't feel embarrassed. I'm part wolf so I can understand some of your struggles… Although I wish I looked as perfect as you"

With a curious frown I sit back up. "Perfect?"

Smiling wider he nod "To me, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen"

Blushing brightly makes him chuckle "Don't worry, Happy is still the one I love"

Staring down at my crossed legs a faint smile forms.

"Why don't you try changing them back?"

Confused I look up

"Close your eyes, focus on my voice. Take a deep breath, and exhale slowly, try to calm your mind and your body shou- There we go!"

Feeling a ticklish sensation in my hands I open my eyes and gasp when I see they're back to my normal hands. "It's that easy?!"

Bursting out in laughter he shakes his head "In theory yes, it took me weeks to succeed though"

Awkwardly giggling I look up only to leap into the air when the door flies open.

"I DID IT!"

Landing behind the couch I cautiously peek over the armrest and see Khloe nearly bounce through the room. "Oh hey Leone"

Waving back, I notice my claws have returned.

"Did I startle you?"

Felix once again bursts into laughter "I think that's an understatement, you scared the crap out of her. Didn't think she'd leap so high into the air she'd almost hit the ceiling though."

She immediately gives me an apologetic look "Did I?"

When I nod she blushes "I'm sorry"

Shaking my head I climb onto the backrest and lie down on it "It's alright"

Seeing me lie down Danny chuckles "So young miss bounce-a-lot, what did you do?"

Ignoring the nickname she squeals "I got Zhloe and me to be Leone's lead caretakers!"

He exclaims "They approved?!"

She nods "Yes! After I explained Zhloe is pretty much the only one to get Leone to calm down, they immediately agreed in fear of… another crisis"

He softly chuckles "Well I think a few others might be a bit sad to get less attention from Zhloe, but Leone would definitely benefit from it"

Felix in turn smiles "Seeing to what lengths Zhloe goes for Leone, I'm pretty sure she herself would be happy as well"

"Ha… ppy about?" Zhloe walks into the room yawning widely.
