Su Huanyi got into the car and the warmth instantly wrapped around his body.
Su Chi waited for him to fasten his seatbelt before driving onto the road. The sky was dark, and the neon lights on the street were drawn into streamer lines in the night.
Su Chi’s face was reflected in the car window. “What did Zhou Qingcheng say to you that you talked for so long?”
“He said his family was hosting a banquet after the New Year and invited us over.”
“Are you going?”
“Of course, I’m going.” Su Huanyi paused and asked, “Is big brother going?”
Su Chi used one hand to turn up the heating. “It seems your brain hasn’t thawed yet.”
Su Huanyi: “….”
He cooperated by bringing his head closer and said, “I thought you weren’t interested in these things, seeing as you rarely attend private parties.”
“That’s because you didn’t go either. And if you go, what am I going to do by staying at home? Try on a hat in front of a mirror. ”
“….”
Su Huanyi’s head lurched. I am wronged! I was just being honest!
Besides, they haven’t started anything yet. Where does the hat come in, ah? His big brother was no longer boiling him in warm water; this was at best, binding him up with a hair band!
………..
It was after ten o’clock when they reached home. The construction team had long since gone back, leaving a light on the construction site in the backyard.
Most of the ground in the courtyard had been filled in, and only a few pipes were left exposed on the road from the garage to the mansion.
Su Chi held Su Huanyi’s arm and said, “Watch the road, don’t fall again.”
Su Huanyi asked, “Aren’t I good at extreme sports?”
Su Chi: “….”
Su Chi held back his natural tendency and complied with him, “I was just afraid that you’d stumble.”
Su Huanyi was flattered, and he happily followed Su Chi back to the house.
The air conditioning and heating in the house were turned on, dispelling the cold of the harsh winter.
Su Huanyi went to his bedroom to take a bath, and he came out feeling warm all over. He then went downstairs to heat some milk.
The maid saw him and she came up to give him a hand, “I’ll do it, young master.”
“Thank you.”
The maid poured a cup and put it in the microwave, then asked, “Do you want to heat a cup for the eldest young master as well?”
Su Huanyi smelled the milk and was filled with kindness, “Heat it, he is still growing.”
The maid: “…”
The two cups of milk tinkled together, and Su Huanyi brought them upstairs. He stopped in front of Su Chi’s door, calling out, “Big brother!”
A faint movement could be heard through the door, and the door opened with a click half a minute later. Su Chi’s hair was half dry, and his pyjamas were still unbuttoned by two buttons, exposing his collarbone and neck socket.
“What’s wrong?”
“Open the door and receive warmth from the community!” Su Huanyi held the cup up and said, “You opened the door 13.6 seconds slower than usual. What were you doing?”
Su Chi marvelled at his precise timing skills and said, “You’re not from the community, you’re here to be the judge.”
Su Huanyi blushed in embarrassment.
As Su Chi reached out to take the cup, the scent of his shower gel mixed with the heat as he approached. “I had a shower because of the smell of alcohol and I was just getting dressed.”
He then turned to the side and said, “Come in and sit down.”
“No need, big brother.” Su Huanyi felt a little danger, especially after having walked off the tightrope.
His expression was so easy to understand and Su Chi looked at him, “What are you afraid of? When have I ever forced you to do anything? ”
Eh, forcing... Su Huanyi’s heart thumped at the word.
Su Chi had never forced him, but any man could understand what he wanted from the look in his eyes.
Su Huanyi said matter-of-factly, “No, big brother respects me and is polite to every hair on my head.”
“It’s good that you know.” The strands of hair were politely ruffled, “Drink the milk and go to bed early.”
“Mmm.” He quickly slipped away, holding the cup.
After a two-day rest from the party, Su Jitong called to ask how soon they would be back.
It was now late January, and the Chinese New Year was early, so they would be on holiday at the beginning of February.
Su Chi said he had to go to the company to first finish the holiday matters before returning to Southern Yunnan.
“It just so happens that I’m at headquarters. I plan to have an end-of-year meeting to lay out the relevant work. There’s also a spring job fair in a few days, so we’ll be back after that. ”
Su Jitong admonished at the other end of the phone, “Dad believes in your ability so I won’t say much about work, but you still need to combine work and rest! It’s okay to enjoy the natural scenery that Dad posted in the group whenever you have nothing to do or quench your thirst with plumes! ”
Su Chi paused and glanced at Su Huanyi, who was eating snacks on the sofa next to him. He was very aware of the power of infectiousness.
He withdrew his gaze and responded, “I know.”
They hung up after talking on the phone for a few minutes, and Su Huanyi came up to him, “Do we have to go to the office? You said everything was okay. ”
“Let’s get things done before the year is out since we are already here.”
“Oh, that’s right.” Su Huanyi put down his cookies and clapped his ceremoniously, “After all, we’re here!”
A handful of crumbs exploded in the air like a firework as he did so.
Su Chi slightly closed his eyes.
…………..
The end-of-year meeting and the job fair were scheduled on the same day. The job fair would be handled by the human resources department, and Su Chi did not care about this as director of the group. He only had to go to the meeting and receive feedback when it was over. On the way to the company,
Su Chi held the steering wheel and looked at the passenger seat. “Are you that curious about the job fair?”
Su Huanyi was in a formal suit, which was rare, and had a down jacket over it, “I’m concerned about the future of the group’s new strength.”
Su Chi skipped over his grand speech and said, “The job fair is being handled by the human resources department. I can ask them to prepare a chair for you to sit in if you want to watch. ”
Su Huanyi was grateful, “Thank you, big brother.”
He had experienced resume submissions and job interviews before, and had run through four or five job fairs on his own, but had never felt it from the standpoint of an interviewer.
This was a rare opportunity. It would be an experience just watching from the sidelines!
The car drove into the underground parking lot of the company. They got out of the car and entered the elevator. Su Chi said, “I’m going directly to the first floor. You can go to the top floor and find Xiao Qin to take you there. ”
Su Huanyi asked, “Has big brother gone through Xiao Qin?”

Su Chi: “….”
Su Chi automatically modified, “I haven’t talked to him. You can just ask him directly.”
Within a few words, the elevator had already stopped at the first floor with a ding! The door opened and Su Chi stepped out. At the moment when the door was about to close, he looked back at Su Huanyi and said, “Be good, send me a message if there is something.”
Then the elevator doors closed.
Su Huanyi was shocked by the words “be good” and did not regain his senses until the elevator stopped at the top floor and he floated to Xiao Qin’s office.
Xiao Qin looked up from behind his desk and pushed his glasses up, “Assistant Su.”
“Mmm?”
“You look like you’ve been hypnotized. Do you need me to look up the relevant first aid plan for you? ”
Su Huanyi came back a little and shook his head, alerted to the fact that his big brother seemed to have gained another level of power. He returned to the subject, “Good morning, Secretary Qin. I would like to sit in on today’s job fair, so I wonder if it’s convenient for you to send me in. ”
Xiao Qin gave a high degree of understanding to his statement; it was similar to going to squat. He got up and gestured for Su Huanyi to follow him, “Of course.”
They took the elevator downstairs, and Xiao Qin explained to him on the way, “There are three processes in the job fair: sign-in, semi-structured interview, and leaderless group discussion. The latter two require the participation of the interviewer and are held in two different sessions. I wonder which one Assistant Su would like to observe. ”
Su Huanyi thought it over and said, “The semi-structured interview, I guess.”
He was a little more interested in the part where personal information was presented.
“Okay.”
The two went down to the eighth floor, and they could already see a dozen or so applicants heading for the waiting area in the corridor.
Su Huanyi followed Xiao Qin through the corridor, meeting several employees along the way who greeted them, “Secretary Qin, Assistant Su.”
The applicants next to them turned their attention to the two.
Xiao Qin nodded calmly, “Please add a chair to the first examination room. Assistant Su will be listening in.”
The staff hurriedly turned around to make the arrangements and then left.
The eyes that fell on the two men instantly became a little more eager.
Su Huanyi’s face was inscrutable, but he thought with regret: “It’s useless for you to look at me, I’m not here to join you. I’m just a casual visitor.
After Xiao Qin made the arrangements, he took him to Manager Chen of Human Resources to say hello. Su Huanyi vaguely remembered this Minister Chen, who had made connotations about him before, only for Su Chi to spray him back.
Minister Chen was very talkative when they met this time, “No problem, who would dare not give Assistant Su face? That’s the equivalent of not giving Director Su face. ”
He turned his head and instructed, “You guys have to take good care of Assistant Su. This is Director Su’s right-hand man!”
“…… Okay Minister.”
Su Huanyi left the office and wandered off in thought, “Is he being *yin and yang towards me?”
Xiao Qin was slightly surprised, “Isn’t it obvious?”
Su Huanyi shook his head, “After seeing the vast ocean, it’s easy to overlook these little drops.”
Xiao Qin was taught, “It’s Assistant Su who has a deep understanding.”
……..
The interview started at 9:30 am.
Su Huanyi came into the examination room and nodded to the formal interviewers as he greeted them, “Excuse me, I’m here to listen in for a while.”
The interviewers didn’t have any opinions about it, and they even welcomed him, “Just make yourself at home, Assistant Su.”
After sitting down, the interview started. The interviewees came in one by one to introduce themselves and answer questions.
Although Su Huanyi was here to watch, he also sat upright, afraid that he would make the interviewers feel nervous if he did not look attentive.
It was already forty minutes into the first round of interviews.
He could not look at his mobile phone during the interview, so Su Huanyi took advantage of the break to pound his stiff back and look at his mobile phone.
Su Chi had actually sent him a message.
[Su Chi]: How is it going?
[Su Huanyi]: The first round of interviews has just ended, and it feels so novel! The candidates who came to our company are all excellent, big brother!
Three minutes later, a message came back.
[Su Chi]: If there’s anything you need, just tell me.
[Su Chi]: I still have an hour to go. I’ll come to look for you when I’m done.
Su Huanyi didn’t quite understand how his big brother could return messages so quickly during a meeting. He was afraid of disturbing the meeting with too many messages, so he didn’t reply after seeing this one.
The break was only ten minutes, and the second round of interviews soon followed.
After interviewing a few people in this round, an interviewer joked while the next interviewer was still coming up, “I feel like Assistant Su is a double-edged sword. People who come in relax when they see you, but they can’t help but always look at you. ”
Su Huanyi decided to prescribe the right medicine: “Why don’t you give them ten seconds to first look at me and relax, and then I’ll mask my face when they’re well relaxed.”
Several interviewers imagined the scene, “…..I don’t think that’s very good for our company’s corporate culture.”
Su Huanyi thought for a moment and regrettably gave up.
The next interview session passed smoothly in a cordial atmosphere.
There was a slight delay in the middle, and it was already after eleven o’clock when the morning interview ended.
“Is Assistant Su still coming this afternoon?”
“I won’t come if Director Su has something else to do. I’ll come back again if he’s okay.”
The interviewers packed up the resumes on the table and chatted as they headed out.
They left the examination room and realised that there were still many interviewees left in the corridor, gathering in twos and threes to talk in whispers, their eyes all glancing in one direction from time to time.
Su Huanyi followed their line of sight to the other end of the corridor and saw an unoccupied area behind the crowd. The man’s straight and slender figure was standing by the wall, and he didn’t know how long he had been waiting.
Hearing the movement on their side, Su Chi turned on his heels and walked through dozens of stares.
The people around them automatically made way, and the interviewers at the door glanced at each other for a few moments before hurriedly standing on one side.
Su Huanyi stood there watching as Su Chi approached him step by step. The latter’s aura was strong and fierce, but he had a fluffy down jacket on his arm that didn’t match his temperament, and he finally stopped in front of him.
“Is it over?”
“……Mmm.”
Su Chi lowered his head down and put the down jacket on him naturally, “Your time was delayed by more than ten minutes, I would have taken my time coming over if I had known.”
Su Huanyi was a little speechless.
Su Chi had wrapped him up and straightened up as he asked, “Are you hungry? Let’s go eat.”
“Okay.” Su Huanyi pulled on his jacket as he followed Su Chi, “You didn’t have to come to me in such a hurry.”
His heart was beating a little fast and he stumbled over his words, “Anyway, I… I’m not going to run away.”
