The air seemed to be still as Su Chi’s footsteps stagnated for a moment.

With so many eyes sweeping over, he paused for two seconds before reaching out and directly grabbing the person as he walked in the direction of the elevator.

“Big brother…!” Su Huanyi was dragged as they took off in strides. His heart beat fast and he panicked as the sound of small murmurs came to his ears.

They made their way into the elevator, and the heavy doors closed in front of them. The button to the basement was quickly pushed.

Su Huanyi stretched out a little finger, “Big brother, you pressed the wrong button. We are going to the third floor to eat…..”

“Eat?” Su Chi’s eyes fell on him, his gaze hot, “Su Huanyi, do you think I can still have a leisurely plate of curry chicken in the restaurant after what you have just said? ”

Su Huanyi didn’t dare move. He seemed to have poked his big brother’s point hard.

No one spoke again in the silent space, but the atmosphere was vaguely tense.

The elevator doors opened when they descended to the basement, and Su Chi took the person to the parking lot, where he pulled the door to the back seat open and sat in.

Bang! The door was closed to isolate the outside world.

Su Huanyi’s arm was wrapped in Su Chi’s palm. He could still feel the burning temperature through the thick down jacket.

There was no light on inside the car, only the dim light from the parking lot came in through the window, reflecting on them both. Within the proximity, the two breaths intertwined and parted.

“You’re just going to tease me like that?” Su Chi breathed softly.

Su Huanyi felt that Su Chi wanted to kiss him. His heart beat wildly, and he hurriedly and carefully put his lips behind his teeth, “I didn’t. I was just stating.”

Su Chi’s eyes remained fixed on his retracted lips for a few seconds.

Su Huanyi tightened up a little more.

Su Chi: “….”

A large palm pinched his cheeks, and Su Huanyi was made into a tropical fish, his lips sticking out.

He stared wide-eyed, “No no no, you’re not allowed to kiss me!”

Su Chi’s eyes were downcast as two fingers gently squeezed the soft flesh of his cheeks, “You’ve not allowed it, how dare I?” He let go.

Su Huanyi rubbed his freed face and glanced at Su Chi’s expression. It was unfortunately hidden in the shadows of the car and could not be seen clearly.

He felt the need to clarify his previous words, “I wasn’t teasing big brother when I said that. I meant… big brother had walked so close to me that I wouldn’t turn around and run away.”

“While I may not be ready, I have been thinking about our relationship seriously.”

He felt shy after saying this but didn’t get Su Chi’s response for a long time.

Su Huanyi, “?”

“Big brother, you…”

He was about to ask a question when he was suddenly pulled into a hug—Su Chi’s arms went around his back and the latter buried his face in his shoulder.

Su Huanyi’s mind went blank.

Warm and rapid breaths burrowed in through the neckline and hit the skin on the side of his neck. Su Chi’s voice was close to his ear, hoarse between the fluff of his collar, “Let me hug you for a moment.”

Su Huanyi heard his heart thumping rapidly, and he forced himself to calmly issue a condemnation, “How can you save before you wrinkle?”

***He got the saying wrong but he was trying to mean doing something first and then reporting it after.***

However, the upside-down saying was not calming at all.

Su Chi seemed to laugh, but he didn’t bother to poke at it. “You can push me away if you want to.”

Su Huanyi hesitated. His big brother was cunning. How could he push him away after saying such words and in such an atmosphere?

He resignedly grabbed the hem of Su Chi’s clothes, a signal of tacit approval – the arms around him tightened abruptly.

There followed a soft, moist touch against the sensitive side of his neck.

…! Shit! Su Huanyi immediately shuddered.

They were already sitting back in the front by the time they calmed down.

Su Chi had one hand on the steering wheel as he suppressed the soul-stirring tension; it was a man’s dissatisfaction after a little taste.

Su Huanyi, next to him, was covering his neck, his gaze burning like a torch.

He’d only acquiesced to Su Chi’s hug, so how could it have gone as far as a touch! Especially when Su Chi tried to suck at the end. He, fortunately, caught it with his quick wit.

Su Chi’s hand slid from the steering wheel to the side, “Are you hungry? I’ll take you out to eat. ”

“I’m hungry.” Su Huanyi’s gaze softened just a little.

“Well, I’m hungry too.” Su Chi said and glanced at him before turning back to start the car.

Su Huanyi had a feeling that it was not the same kind of hunger.

They drove out of the underground parking lot and the bright afternoon sunlight fell into the car. Su Huanyi remembered his experience of trying to clear his mind and generously shared it with Su Chi.

“Big brother, you can play a song of The Light of the Righteous Path.”

Two fingers snapped on the steering wheel, “What’s that?”

“A song that cleanses an impure heart.” Su Huanyi added, “Xiao Qin recommended it to me, and it’s personally tested to be effective.”

“Is that so?” Su Chi said lightly.

Su Huanyi keenly detected a hint of danger in his tone, “Mmm, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I’m just a little emotional.”

“Are you lamenting that Xiao Qin is so good at solving problems?”

“Lamenting the fact that he’s going to lose his year-end bonus at the last moment.”

“…”

Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a western restaurant. Su Huanyi loosened his seatbelt as he surveyed the display of dishes in front of the restaurant, “The portions look very small. Can it be satisfying, big brother?”

Su Chi leaned over and zipped up his jacket for him, tugging at the fluffy fur along the collar. “When have I ever let you go hungry?”

Su Huanyi’s felt relieved at his words, but his heart beat a little faster at his proximity. The feeling from the hug was still there, and his face was a little hot, “Why are you tugging on my fur?”

Su Chi’s fingertips slid through and nudged at the collar of his shirt, “To block it.”

Su Huanyi froze for a few seconds, and then reacted—

Damn it! Just a simple touch and you’ve made a mark?

He hurriedly covered his neck and got out of the car.

………

They got a private room and ordered a large table of dishes. The waiter even politely asked, “Do you need us to kill another cow for you two?”

Su Huanyi politely declined.

He watched the waiter’s back disappear through the door of the private room, and Su Huanyi turned to Su Chi, “Big brother, this restaurant is good. We can come here more often in the future.”

It was unknown which word he used that pleased Su Chi, but the latter was rarely sarcastic; “I’ll bring you back if you want.”

“Thank you, big brother.”

After eating half of the meal, Su Huanyi remembered the matter of returning to Southern Yunnan and asked, “When are we going back?”

“In another two days.”

Su Huanyi cast a questioning look, “Is there anything else going on in the company?”

“Nothing much.” Su Chi looked up, “It’s just inconvenient to go back.”

Hiss! Su Huanyi lowered his eyes quickly and poked at his steak with his fork. It was over; he was getting better at reading his big brother’s brain waves!

At the end of the meal, Su Chi called the waiter to settle the bill.

Su Huanyi was waiting by the side when his phone buzzed and vibrated. He picked it up to see that it was a WeChat from Zhou Qingcheng.

He had the feeling that Zhou Qingcheng was often hesitant about something ever since the party. This time, as usual, they talked nonsense for a while, and Zhou Qingcheng’s tone was once again languid.

[Zhou Qingcheng]: By the way, how soon are you free?

[Su Huanyi]: I’m going to go back to Yunnan soon~

[Zhou Qingcheng]: What!!!

“…” Su Huanyi looked at his phone in confusion. He was just going back to Yunnan. What was Zhou Qingcheng so excited about?

Su Chi finished paying the bill and turned around. He found the strands of hair curled into a question mark, and he paused, “What’s going on?”

Zhou Qingcheng’s next message came at that time, and Su Huanyi didn’t even understand the situation himself, so he gave a perfunctory “Mmm.”

[Zhou Qingcheng]: When are you going back? I have something to say to you before you go…..

[Su Huanyi]: In a couple of days, what’s the matter?

[Zhou Qingcheng]: This matter has to be said face-to-face. It’s best to make it clear before the new year, otherwise I’ll be up and down afterwards. Let’s talk alone sometime.

[Su Huanyi]: Tomorrow, then?

[Zhou Qingcheng]: Okay. No matter what happens, you’re still my good friend!

Su Huanyi: “????” So what happened?

He turned off his phone and then became grave. Could it be that the original owner had gone after the Zhou family in a plot he didn’t know about!

Su Huanyi instantly panicked.

Su Chi frowned as he watched Su Huanyi’s expressions go through doubt, contemplation, reflection, suspicion, and panic in an instant… The speed of his changing expressions was faster than the Sichuan opera face changing.

“Su Huanyi.” He stretched his arm to bring the person close to him. “Whom were you texting?”

Su Huanyi mumbled absentmindedly, “Zhou Qingcheng.”

An index finger rested on the undissipated mark on the side of his neck, and Su Chi asked, “Really? I see you got carried away chatting. ”

A sense of crisis spread throughout his body from the fingers. Su Huanyi shuddered and quickly returned to his senses, “Big brother.”

Su Chi cast his eyes down, “Mm?”

Su Huanyi fell into deep thought, “I might have done something wrong to Zhou Qingcheng without knowing.”

Su Chi: “???

………..

The appointment with Zhou Qingcheng was the next afternoon.

Su Huanyi came out wearing a light-coloured down jacket and a dark grey scarf. Su Chi followed him, wearing a dark grey coat and a light sweater.

This time he finally realized what his big brother had in mind with his “couple’s outfit”.

Su Huanyi felt like he was almost boiled through in his big brother’s warm water. But he thought it was quite beautiful when he saw the couple’s outfit.

Besides, they have already hugged; wouldn’t it be pretentious to obsess about the couple’s outfit?

However, Su Huanyi was still a bit embarrassed because of the *main palace-like aura that somehow emerged from Su Chi. His big brother’s eyes had been quite subtle since yesterday, and his head, which is usually held up high, was slightly drooping, as if “overburdened.”

***Su Chi is giving off some Empress vibes.***

He changed his shoes and tried to struggle a little more. “Big brother, I’ll just take a taxi.”

The struggle was stopped by a sultry gaze. Su Chi also changed his shoes and carried him out the door. “Let’s go.”

Su Huanyi fluttered, “But I don’t know how long the conversation will take. Won’t you be lonely waiting outside the whole time?”

Su Chi sneered, ” If I don’t go, won’t I remain unaware of whether I’m going to die alone.”

“….”

He didn’t quite understand what his big brother had brainstormed.

Probably considering that Su Huanyi had a flight to catch the next day, the place Zhou Qingcheng had proposed to meet was very close to the Su residence, and it was only twenty minutes by car.

The car stopped outside a three-storey café. Su Huanyi unbuckled his seat belt and got out. He’d only taken a few steps when he heard the door slam behind him.

He looked back and saw Su Chi holding his “couple’s jacket” as he walked over with his long legs.

“Big brother?”

Su Chi stopped beside him and said, “Let’s go, I’ll take you up.”

Su Huanyi was in a trance and thought he was a hot comment, “But Zhou Qingcheng said he wanted to be alone with me…..”

Su Chi interrupted, “If Zhou Qingcheng minds my presence, I’ll go out and wait for you.”

His instincts told him that he should not miss the next conversation.
