Chapter 22: Rating Game-Aftermath

Rias grappled onto him, smothering him into her breast.

''Thank you, Issei!''

Issei enjoyed the smothering for a few moments longer before he pulled her away from him to set her back down.

''Is it wrong to say that was easier than I thought it would be?''

Kiba chuckled, shaking his head. ''The only thing that made them strong was the phenex tears they use, and the fact Riser and his sister can regenerate. But you eliminated their ability ever to use any tears, and nullified the boons they get from their blood...''

Kiba then grinned, raising his brows. ''Talking about tears... How many?''

Issei's grin spread, like a sleazy businessman as he pulled out a large flask, which seemed to be about a liter.

''Holy shit, how hard was Riser crying?'' Kiba laughed, examining the special flask made.

''Not Riser, his sister. That's why I left her alive so long. I'd have wasted the time I spent making a spell that would gather certain liquids if I didn't. I also grabbed all the tears I could from the ones I got ahold of, the knights had more than the others though.''

Akeno spoke up, a finger on her chin as she tilted her head. ''Why did we steal tears from them again?''

''We have a healer, our beautiful Asia. However just because we have a healer doesn't mean she can be everywhere at once, tears are made to consume in case she isn't around, everyone should at least carry 2. Use the first if you must and if you need to use the second... Get away from whatever you're fighting.''

''This amount will make it so we have a 'Backup' in case ours get used, and or that we need to save someone else. I plan to make a bag as well that Asia can carry around that will hold more than just two, so in case she doesn't have the mana, she can still use a tear. That also comes with her learning more about medicines, antidotes, poisons, all that jazz.''

Rias pulled him down, stealing a quick kiss. ''I never thought about it like that... Issei you do a good job taking care of everyone."

Issei raised his shoulders. ''Even if it wasn't for you all being a part of the Peerage, and basically a family, you're still friends... This also brings me to the next topic at hand.''

Issei moved from Rias and across the room, petting Koneko as he passed while she smiled up to him, crouching down in the corner next to what looked to be a closed cardboard box.

Issei lowered his voice to a gentle whisper. ''Hello, Gasper.''

The whole box jerked suddenly, and due to his enhanced senses, he could hear Gasper's breath hitch and begin to quicken before it slowly calmed down until he heard was sounded to be a pen scratching across paper.

Soon, out of one of the handles of the box, a little note slid out.

Taking it Issei opened it up and read the simple words on it. 'Hello, Issei.'

Issei chuckled softly. ''Good job on calming yourself, if it's still easier you can just text on your pho-.''

He was cut off as his phone went off, pulling it from his pocket he noticed he had a message from Gasper.

''Thank you, even writing starts my anxiety and I don't know why.''

Issei sent a thumbs up before he stood. ''See you for your stream later tonight Gasper.'' Issei then turned back to the others and opened his arms.

''Now, with that out of the way, shall we settle in and eat? Tears were shed over this fried chicken, and I don't want it to get cold.''

Issei was sitting at his desk, leaned back in his chair as his hands rested clasped together, elbows on his armrests as he stayed in his thoughts.

'I have the proof I need to help begin convincing Koneko there was more to her sister's betrayal than meets the eye... But the situation with the church is escalating, there is movement due to the recently stolen fragment... If we were to hit him, this would be the best time to do it, but it would have to be quiet and fast. I can fly, but flying across the sea?'

~Partner, take a Dragon Vein.~

'A dragon Vein?'

~Large scars of mana where the dragon's once rested, if a dragon stays in a spot for so long, its mana ends up creating a massive build-up of mana, you can use these build-ups to travel... At least I can, taking you won't be difficult, but you won't be able to take the asshole with you.~

'Dragon lairs are some of the hardest places to find, I'll interrogate him there...'

~You could take Kiba with you, only because he's been around you long enough he could be seen as 'Under your Wing'.~

'Good, that means I can take him there, have him wait. Then steal the guy, take him back. Then let him and Kiba hash it out together... What would happen if I tried to forcibly drag someone into the Dragon Vein?'

~Ripped apart, no trace left.~

'You beautiful red-headed beauty, I could kiss you.'

~Where I wouldn't mind showing you how a real Dragon kisses, focus Partner.~

Issei chuckled before he stood, he needed to go let Rias know his plan...

And tell Kiba to get ready.
