Sa Lei used hot water to wash the thin and soft animal skin, before carefully wiping the blood from Qin Fei’s body. Thinking of the fierce battle with the flying beast he had just fought, Sa Lei still couldn’t help that both of his hands trembled.

He touched Qin Fei’s body carefully, not sparing every inch of bone and skin, fearing that there was some injury he had not discovered. Although Ruma had checked Qin Fei the moment he fainted, Sa Lei was still worried. Thankfully, Qin Fei was breathing steadily and his body showed no signs of internal injuries, apart from a few scrapes and bruises.

Sa Lei gently and carefully wiped Qin Fei’s body. He would rather have suffered ten times as many wounds as him, rather than have these wounds appear on Qin Fei.

After drying Qin Fei’s body, Sa Lei applied medicine to Qin Fei again. Every wound was not spared and Sa Lei’s hands were still trembling a little. He could hardly control himself, even when he encountered a terrifying beast alone, Sa Lei had never been so scared.

Gently stroking Qin Fei’s hair, Sa Lei secretly in awe. His Qin Fei, how could he with such a skinny body, have such great strength? If Qin Fei had not hit the flying beasts with deadly blows one after another, and killed its leader, the tribe might have suffered from heavy casualties. However, what if Qin Fei had missed, would he now already be an icy-cold corpse?

“No… you mustn’t, Qin Fei.” Sa Lei said as he wrapped his arms around Qin Fei and locked him into his embrace. Qin Fei felt a little suffocated, his body was aching and burning as if it had been broken apart as he came to his senses in a daze. The familiar smell filled his nose while the warm liquid slowly slid down his shoulder and neck, rolling out, it was distinctly and slightly cool on the hot skin.

“Sa, Sa Lei…Sa Lei, you’re crying…” Qin Fei stretched out his hand with so much difficulty and gently patted Sa Lei’s back.

Sa Lei wrapped his arms even tighter around Qin Fei, “Qin Fei, Qin Fei…” He just called Qin Fei’s name over and over again.

Qin Fei struggled, “Sa Lei, it hurts…”

Sa Lei’s body trembled, grabbed Qin Fei and shouted, “Didn’t I tell you to hide in the tent? Why did you come out? Do you know that you scared me to death!”

Qin Fei let out a moan of pain, which immediately took off his anger and made him tremble as he took him into his embrace again.

Qin Fei’s ears were ringing for quite a while as he was being yelled at. He put his head against his shoulder and whispered, “I’m scared too ah, but I know you’re out there and I know the flying beasts are attacking the tribesmen…I,I can’t just hide and watch you guys get hurt or even killed…”

“Fei…” Sa Lei’s voice choked and he held Qin Fei tightly again, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have yelled at you. My Qin Fei is so brave, the most powerful warrior in the tribe. I was just terrified…”

Qin Fei returned the favor by clinging to Sa Lei, “I know, it’s okay, don’t worry Sa Lei…”

“[Cough, cough sound…]” Banert coughed a few times. He didn’t want to disturb the two at a time like this either. But Torreja was badly injured, the Ruma priest said that only Qin Fei could possibly save him. Moreover, there were several other males who were quite badly injured and although their lives were not in danger for the moment, it would be difficult to survive with injuries like that.

Qin Fei looked up at Banert whose full body was covered in blood, although he knew from the first glance, that blood was not Banert’s, Qin Fei’s body could not help but stiffen, “Banert… our people…” He couldn’t ask, he was afraid to hear that someone might have died.

Sa Lei hurriedly reassured him, “No one was killed but Torreja was badly injured and a few males were also badly wounded.”

Qin Fei gritted his teeth and struggled several times before getting up with Sa Lei’s help, “Why didn’t you wake me up earlier? How long have I been asleep?”

Sa Lei hurriedly fastened Qin Fei’s short pants for him, “Not long, just a moment.”

Qin Fei took a few steps to the corner, grabbed his large bag and brought out the medical kit. Sa Lei guessed that he was going to use the odd box again, so without saying anything, he obediently ordered the hot water to be boiled as what Qin Fei had requested.

Qin Fei entered Torreja’s tent with Banert’s help. Torreja’s female Yidasha’s eyes were red and swollen from crying, but there was no sign of their young daughter, who was presumably being looked after by someone else. She saw Qin Fei enter and grabbed him as soon as possible.

“Please save him, Qin Fei, I beg you, please save Torreja.” Yidasha said this and suddenly her body went limp then she passed out.

What Qin Fei did was to call for a few females to take Yidasha to another tent and look after her, while he himself went close to Torreja and checked his wound.

When he saw the wound, Qin Fei sighed quietly in relief. Although a five-inch-long cut had been made on Torreja’s stomach and blood was still pouring out as he lifted the animal skin that was wrapped around the wound. Fortunately, however, no internal organs were hurt. There was only one torch inside the tent and Qin Fei felt that it was not bright enough, so he had three more torches made and put them in the designated places to light up the tent.

Qin Fei left Ruma and Banert to do the work as his assistant and shooed everyone else out of the tent. He washed his hands clean, opened the first aid kit and began the treatment.

Ruma and Banert were dazzled by all the little things they saw. Several times, they wanted to ask Qin Fei some questions but they were also afraid of disturbing Qin Fei and delaying the treatment.

Qin Fei first used silver needles to seal several of Torreja’s acupuncture points, slowing his bleeding and at the same time keeping him unconscious. Then he began to disinfect and stitch up the wound. Ruma and Banert stared in horror while Sa Lei, who had entered to bring hot water, almost dropped the water basin over in shock.

They had never seen such a treatment before. Qin Fei was actually able to close a large and deep wound tightly with a thin and little of something. It was something they had never even dared to think of, it was almost like sewing on animal skin.

Qin Fei did the stitching alone, without any assistants, so he had to do the appropriate treatment while he was stitching. He himself had tangled and fought with flying beasts many times, therefore those spots where he had been injured by the fall were incomparably sore, so until the wound was completely stitched up, Qin Fei was already covered in sweat.

Qin Fei didn’t have time to wipe the sweat and quickly took out the spray disinfectant and sprayed a few times on the wounds. Under the light of the fire, Sa Lei and the others saw a thin and transparent substance that was rapidly forming at the wound. Qin Fei watched as the membrane quickly generated and had already wrapped the entire wound. He took out a new translucent, breathable postoperative bandage and applied it to the wound, only then did he let out a long breath.

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, Qin Fei gave Torreja a shot of antibiotics. He asked Ruma to find some careful females to carefully boil the herbs he had mentioned, letting Torreja drink it at dawn. He also asked them to boil more light salt water and feed it slowly to the injured males. Then, he went off to check on the next badly injured male.

Qin Fei didn’t have time to explain his odd method of saving lives to some of them and Sa Lei. They also didn’t bother Qin Fei’s rescue efforts, but just fully cooperated with him.

He worked on it until dawn, Qin Fei finally finished treating the last male who needed stitches. He had fought with several flying beasts earlier and although he hadn’t suffered any serious injuries, he was still in a state of utter exhaustion and his entire body was sore. He was so busy trying to save the injured male that his face was now pale and his lips were trembling. Sa Lei hastily gave him two gulps of warm water and only then did Qin Fei’s face look slightly human.

Sa Lei was even extremely distressed by his appearance, so he informed Ruma and carried Qin Fei back to their tent. However, before he could even enter the tent, Qin Fei already passed out in Sa Lei’s embrace.
