It took me over an hour to find my way to an inn.

I found it very pleasant, and the aroma of the food was almost hypnotic.

I sat down at a table and ordered three dishes; one was fish, one was fowl, and the last was a soup made of fresh fish, milk, and vegetables.

I also purchased a mug of honey mead, and soon after getting my order, I began to eat.

The food was amazing and matched well with the drink I had purchased.

I purchased several more reorders of the same until I felt my stomach begin to bulge.

After getting my fill, I paid the young cat girl Anya and even gave her a generous tip before getting up and starting to leave.

But just before I went, I caught whispering from behind.

I took a moment to look back to see Anya and two other cat girls talking, and when Anya was about to make an embarrassing jester, she and others saw me looking, making all three go scarlet and then flee back into the kitchen.

I saw Mia, the owner smirking at how childish those girls were, and she said, “Don’t take offense to those girls; they weren’t speaking anything bad about you.”

“Ohhh ?”

I said as my eyes locked on Mia's face for a brief moment.

I even saw her blush, but it faded before she said, “Yeah, they're not used to seeing men of your type that often.”

I nodded and said, “Is that so…how about you ?”

Mia's cheeks went red again before she started to sputter before, saying. “I’m old enough to be your mother!”

I knew she had said this to shock me, but in return, I said, “So what is age?… it is just a number when the woman is beautiful.”

Mia threw a dish rag at me and went just as scarlet as those three young cat women had been before she yelled, “Damn little punk, if you keep talking like that, I’ll make you fulfill what you're hinting at!”

I shrugged and went to leave but stopped at the door and said as I looked over my shoulder and looked at Mia, “Sure, tell me when you're free. I’ll do that for ya.”

I heard Mia scream a stream of obscenities as I made my way down the street, and it took me a while before her voice mixed with the crowds.

I strolled through the streets of Orario, buying things from stalls and slipping them into a sack I purchased to hide the 【Item Box】 I had.

I also felt eyes drifting on me as I was shopping, but when I looked for the source, I never found them.

But I was also looking for a familia to join and what each of them did to earn money outside of exploring the dungeon.

Once, I learned what a familia was and how they were connected to this world.

I found many of them were interesting, as many subscribed to certain types of work and lifestyles.

As I walked, I made it through the smithing areas of Orario and was able to buy raw and unrefined ores and other materials to use later.

Still, I didn’t find myself desiring to join a smithing familia, even with my occupational skills.

I also went to the market area where the farming familia sold the things they grew or foraged for, and I bought some food items and herbs to cook with and continued on with my walk through the city.

I made it through a quarter of the city, seeing the districts where adventurers could purchase medicines like potions and pills.

I even found myself almost dragged into a back room when I met a woman who seemed to be from the dark elves' race.

A few female adventures chuckled as I came tumbling out from the small store; my face was flushed, and I had re-adjusted my clothing as I attempted to get further away from the woman I saw now peeking at me from her store doorway.

My day continued on, I stopped and ate at a few more stalls, and eventually, I found my way to an inn called the ‘The nest of the Lonesome Dove’ where I could rest for the night; of course, if I knew the district, it was bumped up against I would’ve had looked for another place, not because the inn was low grade it had a bath and a place to serve food by its nature it would have been at least three stars back on earth.

So I rented a mid-size room for the night as it had its bath inside it.

I went to the room and quickly drew a bath before getting undressed and climbing into the flora-scented water that filled this tub.

The heated water felt amazing, loosening my muscles and allowing me to finally relax, especially after the walk through the city and the transformation all those potions and serums had put this body through.

After a short time with the heated water and finding myself relaxed, I drifted into a shallow slumber.

I still didn’t trust the world; even if I was overpowered, that was because of my gains and not any amazing experience of using the power to keep safe.

Still, I awoke when the water was finally cold enough to chill me, so I got up and dried my body and found that I was feeling good.

So after sorting the inventory as I stood nude in the bathroom, I retrieved my gear to find it had also been cleaned thanks to some function in the inventory space, and then I put the gear back on.

I then left the room and made my way to the area where the food was served to the guest.

I found a table and took a seat; a young dwarf woman came and took my order: a large bowl of stew, some bread rolls, and a mug of Black Ale.

I pulled out a book from my satchel/Item Box; I had gotten it at a bookstore during my walk; it was a spell book revolving around Ice affinity spells from frost touch to a few Area of effect spells.

The book had chants, hymns, and circle designs; from the amount I could see in it, I was sure I would be able to instant cast once I understood all information described inside the book.

As I was just about to comprehend the last bit of the frost touch spell, the young dwarf arrived with my food and drink and sat it on the table.

“Thank you!”

I said to the woman without looking up from the book, and if I had, I would’ve seen a blush on her cheeks

After a short time, after the girl had moved to other customers, I finally got to the point I thought I could practice the basic spell later, but as I picked up the mug and took a sip, I found it was warm.

As a man who came from the earth, warm Ale wasn’t a new idea, so I took another swallow before spooning up some of the stew and blew on it before taking a bite.

I took another bite and then looked at the mug of Ale, before pointing my index and pointer fingers at the mug and doing a few jesters as I concentrated the ice mana into them.

An then began drawing the circle described in the book.

I quietly chanted the spells, and there was a sudden flash, and a slight chill was caught in the air as it was my first try.

I used only a small amount of the mana needed and far too little to make it an attack.

I felt the eyes on me, but I ignored this, lifted the mug, and took another sip; the frosty Ale slid down my throat, and it felt nice.

I took another spoon of stew to my mouth when a large toad-like creature stepped in front of my table.

The look in its eyes gave me a far colder chill than my drink, so I sat the spoon back in the bowl and said, “Miss is there a reason you are standing in front of me?”

She remained quiet, but her eyes were predatory, and I knew that.

I had no thought about what I may have done to cause this, but as she licked her lips, I finally had enough and was about to blow up at the woman when she finally spoke, “The Goddess Ishtar wishes to have a moment of your time ?”

I clicked my tongue and was about to reply to the toad.

When I heard another voice, very masculine but powerful, say, “ Or he could come and meet Lady Freya instead of going to Ishtar's cesspool and catching something worst than anything found in the dungeon like a creature like you, Jamill.”

I turned and saw a mountain of muscles standing at the entrance.

I almost wanted to laugh, but I could smell the ions in the air even before the toad Jamill replied to the insult.

“My my, I only thought you liked Freya, but it seems her little piggy also likes taking things in the back too.”

Dead silence fell over the room because what she just came out of her mouth, even a baby could understand, and now I found myself stuck between two forces, one a mountain and the other a venomous toad.

Something tells me both offers would give me different types of problems regardless of my choice.

So I waited, slightly pissed that my meal was interrupted.

Most likely, I would also be losing the room I rented for the night if these two came to blows regardless if it wasn’t my fault, as who would want a person who offended either of them?

Any familia that housed either of these two would have to be a nightmare to deal with, even normally.

Hence, the general loss of the valis is what made me cross at both, but I also knew I needed to control myself.
