Once Riel and I finished having our master/maid sexy time I cleaned up.
Then I went right back to sleep, until I felt someone gently rocking me.
Opening my eyes I turned over and saw Riel standing before me.
"Master Wren, we have arrived at our destination." She told me.
"Right." I said. "Thank you Riel." I told her.
"But of course." Riel said.
She then gave a slight bow before leaving the room.
Once she did so I got up and got dressed.
Deciding to go with a grey shirt, a black jacket, some brown pants, and some black boots.
I also strapped a holster to the left side of my body, since I'm left-handed and all.
Also because I am not going into this port without a weapon.
If pirates had it in their data banks then it must be a rough place.
I know I might be stereo-typing a bit but I can't help but feel I'll be able to carry a weapon with me.
So that's why I'm going to get one.
Leaving my room after I got dressed I headed straight for the armory.
As the door opened I saw various racks filled with different types of weapons.
All of which I acquired during my time in-game.
Glad they are all still here.
I also hope the ammo cartridge's of this world are compatible with are weapons, otherwise we'll have to scrap them.
Really hoping that isn't the case.
Walking over to one of the racks I took down a pistol.
Specifically a pistol known as the Dragoon Mark II Pistol.

A pistol from a family of weapons known as the Dragoon series, hence its names.
It's a semi-automatic weapon that holds a 14 round clip.
The recoil isn't bad either.
That's why I loved using this pistol and the Dragoon series in the game. A trend I think I will continue here in this new world.
Holstering my side-arm I left the armory and headed for the bridge.
Arriving I saw Rion lazily relaxing in his chair. But I didn't see Riel anywhere in sight.
"If you're looking for sis she's changing in her room right now." Rion informed me.
"Thanks." I told him.
He gave me a curt nod as I took the captain's chair.
The second I did so I accessed the external camera feeds and then brought up an image of Rockveil spaceport on the main monitor.
After doing so I saw a cylindrical-shaped object with multiple rings of varying sizes moving independently around it. Various ships moving to and from said rings.

I have to admit, it's quite majestic.
I continued staring at the image of Rockveil until I heard the door to the bridge open.
Turning around I saw Riel.
But she is not wearing her maid uniform.
Instead she is now dressed in a long-sleeve grey shirt, a brown leather jacket, black pants, and black boots with a scary around her neck and her hair secured in a singular ponytail.
She's really giving off the sexy female adventurer vibe right now.
"Looking good sis." Rion said.
"Yes, you look great Riel." I told her.
"Thank you both." She said.
Riel then sat at her terminal, a soft smile on her face.
Turning my attention back to the main monitor I started maneuvering Pleiades closer to the port.
While telling the twin our objectives as I did so.
"Ok. Our top priorities are as follows you two. Gather information, and find a way to make money so we can purchase supplies and other amenities."
Since before coming to the bridge I checked our ship's personal bank account and saw we are flat broke.
Not a credit to our name.
Which is the name given to the money in this area.
Credits, or creds for sure.
All forms of paper currency and banknotes are now non-existent. Only electronic currency known as credits are really worth anything.
Well people do trade in various goods as well, but that is in the minority when compared to credits.
Which again, we have none of.
I really hope the port doesn't require some sort of docking fee, otherwise we're fucked big time.
'First and empty-cargo hold and now I found out all the money I managed to scrape together is gone as well. This is starting a game on difficult mode.' I thought.
But things could be worse, so I won't complain too much.
In no time at all we got within range of the port.
Immediately after we did so someone began trying to establish a communications link with us.
"Riel, let it through." I said.
"Yes." Riel said.
She then established the link.
"Unknown vessel. State your business now or turn around and leave this sector of space. If you do not you will be shot down." A male voice stated.
"We are simply looking to dock at the station to handle personal matters." I said.
"Understood." The male voice respond. "Please send your ships Identification code."

"No problem." I said.
I then transmitted our ships ID code.
"Code received. You are clear to dock at our station. Please proceed to docking bay E69." The male voice said.
We then received a data packet with instructions on how to get to docking bay E69.
"We've received the instructions you sent and our proceeding to the designation docking bay." I explained.
I then cut communications and maneuvered Pleiades into position and docked.
Once I did so I turned to the siblings.
"Rion, please stay here and watch the ship. Riel, you are with me." I said.
Both siblings nodded.
Once they did Riel and I left the bridge and entered the elevator, heading towards deck three.
As soon as we arrived we exited the Pleiades.
A few moments after we did so my vision was assaulted my a myriad of people of all shapes and sizes.
Some were old, some were young. Some are military, while some look to be part of corporations. While others look like the rough-types.
Either way, I can't turn my gaze anywhere without seeing people.
Riel is the same way.
In fact, she's staring at certain people more so than others.
"Riel, you ok?" I asked her.
"Yes." She said. "It's just, I've never seen so many AI in one place." She said.
"So those people are you staring at more than the others are...."
Riel nodded to my hanging question.
"Yes master, they are just like me. AI within bio-synthetic bodies." Riel explained to me.
So it looks like AI like Rion and Riel exist in this world.
That's good.
This way the twins won't stand out.
Riel and I continued observing our surroundings for a little while longer. But eventually we got moving.
The two of us entered deeper into the station.
In doing so we saw various shops, venders, and everything in between.
While we walked around we also got to work on our first objective, gathering information.
As we did this I learned that the Galactic Network exists in this world.
Galactic Network, also known as GNet for short is this ages version of the internet. However it spans the entirety of human-populated space. You can use it to find just about any information you want, and most of it is free. Even the military uses GNet, of course the parts they use are encrypted for obvious reasons.
Finding out that that exists here eases my worries on so many levels.
All we have to do is connect to GNet using the established link of Rockveil when we return to Pleiades and we'll be able to access from then on anytime we want.
Then we'll have access to tons of information.
I can even download some books to read and movies to watch.
Oh, I wonder if anime is still a thing in this world?
A question for later which I will surely answer.
Leaning against a wall I took a breather while Riel waited for me patiently.
Because unlike me she doesn't really get tired at all.
In fact unless her body is damaged extensively in some way or she doesn't receive regular maintenance or systems updates Riel can keep operating for years without any problems.
Most AI in bio-synthetic bodies can.
They are basically walking cheats.
I'm a little jealous if I'm being honest.
But I wouldn't trade being human for anything.
Besides, in this era humans can live up to 120 years old easily without any issues, and with the advanced medical technology in this time people can see their 400th birthday.
So yeah, I'll live a long time in this world.
Which is just another thing that is great about it.
Once I got my second wind I looked at Riel.
"Ok, information gathering is going well. But we still haven't found a way to make any money." I said. "Which is a problem."
"Actually master Wren I have a suggestion." Riel spoke up.
"Oh, speak up then." I told her.
"While you were taking a moment of rest I connected to the local network and then to the GNet and searched for ways to make money. One thing that kept popping up in my searches was the organization known as the mercenary guild." She explained.
"Oh, Riel nice work." I told her. Giving her a hug as I did so.
The Mercenary Guild.
An organization that spans the entirety of civilized space. Those who sign up to join are given the authority by the guild to complete jobs and contracts is acquires. Which can be anything from protecting merchant or cargo vessels to hunting down and eliminating pirates.
So long as one follows the rules laid down by the Mercenary Guild after joining they can pretty much do whatever missions they desire. Mercenaries are also able to move about all star nations freely unlike most other people. Plus, they usually get protection from law enforcement and military personnel due to their status of being a member of the guild.
Sure you have to pay the guild a small fee every few months, but the benefits to joining far outweigh the costs in my book.
Which makes it a perfect place for me and my crew.
I can sign up as a mercenary. Take on jobs and make money. While also getting the freedom to travel about the galaxy as I please with a bit of added protection as well.
The guild also offers a basic form of ID which I need since I literally just appeared in this world out of thin air.
So yeah, the guild checks all the boxes.
Releasing Riel from her hug I took her hand.
"Riel, please point me in the direction of the mercenary guild branch on the station." I said.
"Right." She said. "It's located in section B."
"Then off to section B we go." I said.
I then started heading towards the Mercenary Guild, walking hand and hand with Riel as I did so.
