Today, I'm standing at the entrance of a dungeon. My name is-

"Food? Do you sell food or rations?"

"Yes. How many rations?"

"3 weeks for the three of us."

"63 silver coins."

"Expensive! Can you make it cheaper?"

"... 60 silver coins."

"Deal."

Buying food is a tradition for anyone entering the dungeon. Asking for a discount despite earning gold coins is also a tradition for them. And they left quickly.

Anyways, the name of this humble travelling merchant-

"Do you have the map of this dungeon, NPC?"

"The huge Bronze Skull Dungeon change its floor layouts every 3 weeks which is barely enough for cartographers."

"Do you know more about this dungeon-"

"No. I also came here recently."

"Do you need any help?"

Why would you ask that?

"Nope. You asked too many questions. Please decide whether you'll purchase or not."

"Uhh, thanks for your cooperation!"

Hah, finally, they're gone. What did they mean by NPC? Why do they always call me that? Is that an insult?

For some reason, I just noticed a man standing in front of me. I never saw him approaching me but seeing that he has no malicious intent, I just ignored it. He's more likely waiting for few seconds for me to respond.

"What do you need?"

"Lamp."

"Lamp? The dungeon lights itself. Plus I'm here for a month and not a single person who dared the dungeon asked for a lamp or anything similar like torches or lightorbs."

"It's not about the dungeon. I'm simply buying a lamp."

"Okay. I happened to have a unique lamp. It's the Lamp of No Return. This-"

"I'm buying it."

"Okay. You should have let me finished. 1200 gold coins or anything of equivalent value."

"Deal."

This man just straight up put a small gem and a gold bar onto the table. The entrance to the dungeon is where immortals group together and hang out and this quick transaction immediately attracted the attention of fellow immortals who call themselves 'players'.

I can hear their murmurs and it all consists of hard to understand words.

"Damn. Rich kid. How much did he top up for that?"

"I remember seeing a post searching for a weird lamp. It offered 1000 gold for it."

"Is that unique item OP?"

"Nah, It just makes colorless flames. It's funny how it had a fancy name."

While similar conversations happened at the entrance, the man in front of me quickly put the handle of the lamp onto his belt.

You're supposed to hold that with your hand.

"Does this need fuel, shopkeeper?"

"No, it doesn't need to be fueled at all. It should last for 40 years."

"Farewell."

I double checked the gem and the gold bar. It's real. For him to wear normal clothes and go alone, he's too reckless to carry valuable objects.

The fifth person who came to me appears to be a veteran. He has better clothes than the previous customer who spent a thousand gold coins without batting an eyelid.

"Health Potions?"

"Health? You mean healing?"

"Yes."

"5 gold each."

"I'm buying 2 health potions."

Just like tradition, he's about to leave immediately when he finally noticed that something's wrong with a dull blade on the table. Why would a travelling merchant that sells unique equipment put a dull blade on the table? This sense of mystery lingers to his heart. Is that a cursed weapon or a growth-type weapons that is best mixed with time and experience?

"Ah that? I just saw it left on the entrance. Someone must have forgotten it, so I decided to pick it up and put it here for safekeeping."

"..."

And he left.

There are no customers remaining for now. I have earned big this time so I should pack up and go to a nearby shrine. Just as I stood up, a thief struck against me. As a travelling merchant, I am always alone and is fully equipped with top-notch defensive gear. An ice spell is activated, nullifying his attack and I, a seller of unique items who won't get short of powerful weapons, started to attack. He received an attack from me and died in a brutal manner. As he is a player, he won't die. He will resurrect. I'm really used to it.
