Travelling Merchant NPC

The first VRMMORPG has been launched worldwide and our protagonist happened to be an NPC of that game.

"The price is 450 gold coins."
"It's just a crossbow."
"It's a **unique** crossbow! Look! It has a purple tag!"
"It's still expensive. 200 gold. I'll buy it for 200."
"...420."
"250 gold."
"420 gold. No lower than that."
"Shouldn't you lower it until we meet the same price?"
"Nope. Pay or return that **unique** crossbow you're holding to me."
"Gotta run away!"
"...Another thief... Recall item. Next!"

From author: This is my second try writing a novel. My first try... Complicated. Too complicated. I had difficulty executing a conflict thanks to terrible build-up. I do not own the picture.
