The young superheroine ‘Spotlight', or Ava to those in the know, has always wanted to leave her mark on the world. But as a super with an arsenal of C-rate powers at best, the world stage is, ironically, not somewhere she’s likely to end up. That is, until a chance encounter with S-Class femme fatale ‘Dusk Hunter’ has Spotlight’s name thrust onto the front page of the Capital Times--as a footnote, true, an accessory to someone else’s triumph, but still the first real bit of publicity Spotlight has found since her powers awakened.

The next morning, something even more incredible happens: her powers have grown noticeably stronger. With the realization comes a fresh understanding of her power set—that her abilities amplify with her popularity.

But where her potential is now massive, it’s far from smooth sailing. Weak superheroes are a dime a dozen, and what could be matters little to what is. So, knowing she needs to increase her media presence and gain an adoring fanbase, Spotlight takes the advice of her trusted confidante and childhood best friend:

Sex sells.

A maxim that has held since the dawn of time. And what’s the harm in a tighter, skimpier costume? Or a few risqué photoshoots? It’s a slippery slope, sure, but all she needs to do is watch her footing.
