“The fuck?!” Romeo complained as he got off the private jet. He grabbed his bag and winked at the Steward and said, “Thanks for the head, you a pro.”

The man smiled. “Only the best treatment for our clients.”

Romeo smirked and looked ahead. He walked down the steps, making his way to the terminal. He walked through the airport and stepped outside.

He looked around for a moment, then saw a man he knew all too well.

Walking up to him, they clapped up and got inside the SUV.

As he sat down, Romeo saw Cardinal and Chaplain. He nodded, “Good morning.”

Chaplain smirked. “It’s a fucking cold morning.”

“No shit,” Romeo scoffed.

Cardinal smirked too and said, “You should get used to it. I’m thinking of moving you out here once you are done with school.”

Romeo glared at her and said, “My ass ain’t going nowhere, especially with Halo’s ass around. Plus, if I bring him with me, Bishop will be up your ass.”

Chaplain laughed, “I like you very much.”

Cardinal rolled her eyes and chucked a folder at him and said, “Open it.”

Romeo opened the black folder and saw a picture of Nicola. He looked up at his boss and asked, “What do you want me to do?”

“It’s time you kill her,” Cardinal answered.

Romeo nodded his head and turned to the next topic of discussion and saw a picture of Mason’s brother. He raised a brow and asked, “How did he double-cross you?”

“He didn’t. It’s his induction into the mafia tonight. He is dating a…”

“I know, Alexandra Thorne-Hall, who is transitioning into a female,” Romeo interrupted her.

“Yes, and I think you might have heard about her little episode caused by her cousin,” Cardinal stated.

Romeo frowned. “Well, I only know bits about it because Mason was talking about it. But what is your point? This is unlike you to beat around the bush.”

“You know that everyone who buys from us has tabs kept on them, right?” Cardinal asked.

Romeo nodded his head and flipped the page, he was shocked to see what was on the next few pages. As he read the text messages between the friends, he grew angry and asked, “Why are you showing me this?”

Cardinal stared at him for a moment and said, “As Ruthless as you are, you have a heart. I don’t care about others but because she is Bishop’s friend and he’ll most likely ask me to kill those boys. What I want you to do is go back home and wait for the day and time. When you deem fit, I want you to test out Misty’s new gas.”

Romeo narrowed his eyes at her as he thought about Misty. He remembered the boy who worked in the greenhouse at the warehouse and asked, “Is he.. I mean she, in a stable position to work?”

Cardinal nodded. “She chose to return to work herself. She loves concocting drugs, and the new gas might be our additional source of income.”

“How much are we talking here?” Romeo inquired.

“We’ll sell it to the government, obviously keeping the patent. This might also be my stepping stone at putting pressure on my boss for approaching Bishop in Paris,” she answered.

Romeo narrowed his eyes and asked, “I am killing Nicola, protecting Alexandra and testing out Misty’s new product. How much am I getting out of all of this?”

“Your ass dicked down the wrong girl and got you and your crew in trouble, but I forgive you because you are my best man. I will pay you for the job. For everything, how does one hundred thousand sound?” Cardinal asked.

Romeo looked at Chaplain, who was quiet in the corner, then nodded his head.

Romeo walked into Chaplain’s home he bought this side and froze. Mr McClelland was sitting on a couch sipping on a glass of ‘The MacCallan M Highland Single Malt Scotch Wisky’ and Romeo only knew this because the damn bottle was sitting on the coffee table in front of him.

Romeo walked up to him and held out his hand. “Good morning, sir.”

Mr McClelland slapped Romeo’s hand away and said, “Don’t greet me like you didn’t just get head from someone.”

Romeo glared down at him and growled, “Should I just be fucking your son, then?”

Mr McClelland glared back at Romeo and before he spoke, Chaplain interfered, “Oh shut it, you two. Romeo, get your ass in the shower and put on the suit. We have a new member to induct into the mafia.”

Romeo glared at Mr McClelland then went to the room the housemaid showed him to. He went to the bed where his suit was laid out and raised a brow. “Why the hell is it blue?”

Romeo stepped out of the room, looking dashing, and went to the living area. He raised a brow when he saw everyone in blue and asked, “Is there a reason we are all wearing blue?”

Chaplain turned to him and said, “Nothing in particular, it’s just that midnight blue looks good.”

Cardinal rolled her eyes and said, “Blood will be there, so I want everyone on their best behaviour.”

She turned to Mr McClelland and said, “I want you to keep that bitch of yours on a leash. If she says one wrong thing to Amanda, I will kill her.”

Romeo looked at Mr McClelland and asked, “You cheating on my mother-in-law?”

“No, she divorced my ass a year after we got married. Now she just carries my offspring,” he answered.

Romeo glared at him and threatened, “I don’t care who the hell you are but you better not tell Halo about the Steward, he’ll rip me a new asshole.”

The four arrived at a grand hotel and walked into the lobby. Romeo marvelled and said, “Never did I think I would be here. How much is it a night? I wanna bring Halo here.”

Mr McClelland scoffed, “You better keep my son away from here. This place is for the connects and connects only. All grand occasions are held here and today, Weston’s induction is very well the change of the Livingstone empire. Weston Reeves ain’t no idiot, and even we will benefit with him being adopted into that family.”

“But his family will suffer,” Chaplain interrupted.

Romeo’s brows knitted. “What do you mean?”

Cardinal smiled at Romeo and said, “I was Vanessa Miller before I became Cardinal, but unlike Weston Reeves, I made it clear that I ain’t leaving my family behind. And always remember this Ruthless, you are mine, just like these two beside me. Gordon wasn’t hired by Blood, but by me.”

Romeo took in a deep breath. He knew Cardinal would make it big. All he had to do was watch her back, the end.

“Cardinal,” a taller than average beautiful girl called as she walked up to them.

Cardinal smiled, “Snipe, you made it?”

Snipe nodded her head sheepishly. “Yeah, he invited me by force.”

“Does he want you to play house with your sibling?” Cardinal asked her.

She nodded her head. “Yeah, but I disappeared. His wife is giving me a look as if I’m the one who fucked him.”

Cardinal laughed. She looked at Romeo and said, “Ruthless, I’d like you to meet Snipe. Blood’s baby mama is her deceased mother, Snipe, this is Ruthless, my right hand at Horizon High.”

They shook hands and Snipe said, “I’m Ocean. It’s a pleasure to meet the man who smelts my rifles.”

Romeo’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Oh shit, I finally get to meet you after working together with you. I am Romeo and, I must say, I am a huge fan. You get your targets every time.”

“And you know how to kill without leaving a trace, you should consider taking my place,” Ocean smirked.

Romeo shook his head. “I’d rather get my ass fucked. Running the streets is my gig.”
